Actor Alex Pettyfer, who is rumored to be engaged to his girlfriend Dianna Agron, admitted that he strangely relates to the character he plays in the science fiction thriller “I Am Number Four”. Alex plays John Smith, an alien who disguises himself as a regular high school student to avoid his enemies.

“My character is an outsider,” Alex says, “and he’s a role model for kids who think they don’t fit in.” Alex can identify: “I definitely feel a bit like an alien in America.”

The 20 year-old British hunk is also going to take over the big screen with “Beastly”, a modern version of “The Beauty and The Beast” story also starring Vanessa Hudgens. Alex reveals the hardest part was to sit for long hours in makeup for the Beastly makeover.

“Four and a half hours to put on the prosthetics, and one and a half to take them off,” he recalls of his terrifying transformation. “It was intense.”

When asked if he would like to live forever, Alex replied, “No, but I do treat every moment like it’s my last.”

Hot new actor Alex Pettyfer, who has two movies coming out (“Beastly” and “I Am Number Four”), is featured on the upcoming issue of GQ Magazine (February 2011)- more pictures below.

The 20 year-old is currently dating “I Am Number Four” co-star, Glee actress Dianna Agron. In an interview with JJJR, Alex explained how he imagines light coming out of his hands for his role in the movie.

Alex says, “It’s really cool. I was listening to an interview with the guy who plays Freddy Kruger and he was saying how he developed his technique and had this flowing motion that he used to have as an actor. That he just took the hands and so for me I just wanted to figure out a way – I didn’t want it to be all very dramatic.

“I came up with this way to light my hands, take it down and then I came up with this concept that when my hands light up cause it’s illumine and you don’t know what happens later in the books, and I do, but it kind of burns my hands so it’s a kind of painful experience every time I light up. But it’s great to have something to play with.”

The 20 year-old considers himself a man of the world and he makes friends easily. “I’m the gypsy man,” says 20-year-old actor. “I don’t really live anywhere. I’ve got a roof over my head in Los Angeles, and I’ve got a lot of friends everywhere.”

“I love traveling, but I hate planes,” he confesses. So how does such a free spirit overcome a fear of flying? “I get on.”

Alex is a hottie! And he is also pretty talented. We are going to hear a lot more from Alex in the future. He is set to become one of the biggest actors of the next generation of Hollywood royalty. OK! Maybe I’m exaggerating a little, but i really like him!
