Demi Lovato may be facing a lawsuit when she gets out of rehab. The Camp Rock 2 star entered rehab after boarding a Disney tour plane in Brazil and punching back up dancer Alex Welch in the face. The confrontation came when Lovato thought Welch had snitched on her to the tour managers and her step father after a night of partying landed her in hot water.

Welch says she has never received an apology from the 18 year-old troubled singer and her lawyer states that he will file a lawsuit on Welch’s behalf to seek restitution:

“We will be filing a lawsuit next week,” said Donald Karpel, Welch’s lawyer. “We will be seeking punitive damages for assault, battery and for mental stress.”

When asked if Welch wants Lovato to pay for her medical bills, Karpel said: “We are exploring all of our options right now.

“After the attack, Alex had to get emergency treatment. She is now consulting a Beverly Hills ears, nose and throat plastic surgeon. “

Does this really need to go to court? Should Demi or Disney pay for her medical bills – yeah, of course (and why haven’t they already?) but a plastic surgeon? That seems excessive when there are photos of Welch smiling with Nick Jonas (and the shiner) see below – although who knows how much real damage was done.

Taylor Swift has a little down time in Los Angeles before MTV’s VMAs on Sunday night and spent it having lunch with pals and shopping. Perfect!

The very popular star is rumored to have a new song to debut at the awards ceremony tonight. Swift is ready to address the Kanye West incident (you know – the one where West infamously interrupted Swift as she was accepting an award… read it here if you need refreshing.)

Twilight star Kristen Stewart found herself in hot water this week for her comment to British Elle regarding how she feels with photographers documenting her every move. In her original quote to the mag, the actress said:

“All you see is an actor or a celebrity lit up by a flash,” she said in an interview with British Elle. “It’s so…the photos are so…I feel like I’m looking at someone being raped. A lot of the time I can’t handle it…It’s f—ed. I never expected that this would be my life.”

Stewart realized the analogy was over the top has offered up an apology for her ill-thought out wording.

“I really made an enormous mistake – clearly and obviously and I’m really sorry about my choice of words.  I’ve made stupid remarks before, and I’ve always reasoned: ‘Whatever. They can think what they want,’ ” she says.  But in this instance, the Los Angeles-born actress feels compelled to address the situation. ” ‘Violated’ definitely would have been a better way of expressing the thought,” she notes.

In the 2004 film Speak, Stewart, who portrayed a rape victim, acknowledges that what she said has serious repercussions and that sexual assault should not be spoken of lightly.

“People thinking that I’m insensitive about this subject rips my guts out. I made a big mistake,” says Stewart.

I’m glad she stepped up to the plate and admitted that she used a terrible analogy for her personal feelings. Her hatred of the paparazzi is duly noted and she needs to learn to deal with it (it’s not going to go away no matter how hard she wishes it would.)

I like Stewart and hope she continues to speak her mind. Even though this was not the smartest thing she could have said, I do want her to continue to talk openly and share her opinions and point of view. So many other actresses have the exact same answer for every reporter – you can tell it has been rehearsed repeatedly. Kristen gives you an uncensored version and a true sense of her self in each interview. Very rare these days.

Contrary to the rumors floating on the internet this past week, Taylor Swift will not duet with Kanye West on the re-recording of ‘We Are The World.’ The new version of the song is taking place on Monday, February 1st – the day after the Grammy Awards in Los Angeles, California and while Kanye may be there, Swift is headed down under to begin her Australian tour.

To mark the 25th anniversary of the song, the proceeds of this recording – which may include Miley Cyrus and Justin Bieber - will go to Haiti relief funds.

Taylor Swift made an appearance today on daytime talk show ‘The View’ and the country superstar talked about the Kanye West incident (Click here for all the links to the unfortunate events) from Sunday’s MTV Video Music Awards. The singer (who happens to be the first country star to ever win a VMA) gave the ladies of the show (including Kate Gosselin as fill in host) the rundown of her thoughts as she won the award:

“Wow, I can’t believe I won… This is awesome… Don’t trip and fall… I’m gonna get to thank the fans, this is so cool… Oh, Kanye West is here…Cool haircut. What are you doing there? And then ouch. And then, I guess I’m not going to get to thank the fans.”

At the time of the show, Swift said West had not reached out to her to apologize however, since this aired this morning around the country, TMZ.com is reporting that West has finally done the right thing and called her to offer his apology for his rude treatment of the young star.

Harvey Kindlon, the 11 year-old schoolboy who tried in vain to present actress Megan Fox with a rose will get his chance tonight in New York City. Fox was walking the red carpet at the London premiere of her latest movie, ‘Transformers: Revenge of The Fallen’  when Kindlon extended the rose. The actress was led past him and says she did not even see him thru all the flashes from the cameras.

Kodak Film offered a $5000 reward to anyone who could locate the youngster in the picture (see pic and story here) and he was found on Facebook. The London boy is being flown in to the Big Apple with his Mom and a friend to meet the actress Friday night and give her the flower, face to face.

Fox, for her part, has been extremely kind and truly seemed upset that this had happened. Can’t wait to see the pictures of their meeting!

Actress Megan Fox has made many a man weep because she doesn’t date them, however the actress accidently snubbed a young fan while walking the red carpet and now she is offering her apologies. While in London for the premiere of her movie Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, the red hot actress walked past a young boy trying very hard to give her a rose. With all the hullaballoo going on around her and the flashing lights aimed right at her, Fox has said she did not see him and feels awful about the unintended brush off.

The star is promising to make things right with the boy.

“If you know his name, I will send him a personal apology,” she says. “I’m horrified. I would never do that.”

“I’m sorry, sweet boy,” she goes on. “I would never do that to you, and I would gladly accept your rose if I see you again.”

That really is sweet of her to acknowledge him and offer an apology.
