Former High School Musical sweetheart Ashley Tisdale stepped out in North Hollywood this week sporting a pink tank top, white mini-skirt and sky-high stilettos – definitely not her usual ultra-tendy look!

Thankfully, the sudden wardrobe change isn’t due to a major lapse in fashion sense, but rather for a two-episdoe stint Tisdale is filming for the hit FX drama Sons of Anarchy.  According to sources, Tisdale will be portraying, “a desirable, high-priced escort who complicates the club’s life…”

The role is a far cry from The Tis’ days prancing around the halls of East High, but the 26-year-old actress couldn’t be more excited about landing the part Tweeting,

Knowing this is my favorite show I’m completely star struck by everyone that walks by… Act cool.

The fifth season of Sons of Anarchy premieres this fall on FX .  Will you tune in to see Ashley in her new “adult” role???  Sound off below!

The blue carpet was rolled out on Wednesday afternoon for the premiere of the Disney Channel Original Movie Phineas & Ferb: Across the 2nd Dimension at the El Capitan Theatre in Hollywood with Ashley Tisdale attending.

Tisdale wore a very cute All-Saints Aztec print shift dress (see AnnaSophia Robb in the same cute frock here) and kept her hair casual and pulled back on the sides.

The 26 year-old spoke about how her family helps her and being grateful for everything that comes her way.

“I don’t know what it take to be an “it” girl myself. I think my family grounds me a lot, definitely,” Tisdale said.

“I don’t take anything for granted. I’m always excited for everything that I do; it’s like the first time. Which is something that is always fresh feeling, I love that. I never want to get jaded like that.”

Phineas & Ferb: Across the 2nd Dimension premiered tonight on Disney and runs all weekend long.
