Mary Kate Olsen has spent her entire life in front of the cameras and it wasn’t always confortable. The 24 year-old and her sister, Ashley, played precocious Michelle Tanner on Full House in the 80s and the duo now have their own legitimate fashion design company that is very successful with the public and critics alike.

Mary Kate has had her share of negative stories (an eating disorder, a penchant for partying and her friendship with actor Heath Ledger at the time of his overdose) and the very smart business woman has remained silent on these issues for the most part.

Marie Claire magazine has given Mary Kate three covers – and a chance to set the record straight – for September 2010. Here is what you can look forward to from MK in the upcoming issue:

Old photos of her as Michelle – not her favorite: “I look at old photos of me, and I don’t feel connected to them at all… I would never wish my upbringing on anyone…”

What she’s learned from her very public troubles: “I think it’s really important to be able to talk when something’s wrong. I learned at a really young age that if you don’t talk about it, it can drive you insane.”

Fashion is where her heart is: From the inception of The Row to their early successes — “It took us a year-and-a-half to make the first T-shirt,” she says — Mary-Kate takes it more seriously than anything else: “I still read scripts, and if something great comes along, that’s great … but this is my day job. The Row is where I go every day.”

Mary Kate will be seen with Neil Patrick Harris, Vanessa Hudgens and Alex Pettyfer in Beastly when it finally comes out March 18, 2011. Her clothing lines (with sister Ashley,) are The Row, Elizabeth and James and their latest venture Olsenboye - a lower priced teen oriented line at JCPenney.

Vanessa Hudgens and her Beastly costar Neil Patrick Harris are bringing the amazing musical Rent to the Hollywood Bowl for three nights starting August 6th. Entertainment Weekly posted the rehearsal pic of the duo as they prep for the show next weekend.

The musical is great and I hope Vanessa and Neil do it justice.

Taylor Momsen is the face of Material Girl, the new juniors line of clothing debuting at Macy’s this August.

The clothing line developed by Madonna and her daughter, Lourdes Leon, is a family affair even when it comes to advertising pics as the OG Material Girl took to the lens herself to shoot Momsen for the new ad campaign. Foam (Fashion Ocean Art Music) magazine has the ever beautiful Emma Roberts covering the August/September issue. The actress, who is contemplating college at Sarah Lawrence or NYU next year, gave up some deets about her love of author Joan Didion, her characters in the upcoming movies Twelve and It’s Kind of a Funny Story, and how much she loves Los Angeles.

Author, author: “If I could be anyone in the world for a day, I’d want to be Joan Didion. I think she is the most amazing female writer of all time. She is so original.”

On her character Molly, in the upcoming film Twelve: “I’m the moral compass of the movie. My character is the metaphor for everything that’s good, while everyone else is doing all this messed-up stuff. ”

Not so funny story of It’s Kind of a Funny Story: “It’s a comedy, but it’s really dark. (Roberts plays a teen who cuts her own face.) The cuts looked really real and creepy… It was something about her that was personal. It was there on her face but you never really talked about it, which was cool.”

Los Angeles is where her heart is: “I love the mix of being up in the hills like your in the middle of nowhere and then being down by the beach. There are so many different areas in LA that you get the best of everything. You live somewhere long enough you have your favorite spots. I’ve toyed with the idea of moving to New York but I have my spots here and it’s hard to give up your spots. “

Lots of Emma goodness in this issue. Foam is a great magazine (the mag’s twitter is here) and this is a nice interview with Roberts.
Emma is currently working on Scream 4 with Hayden Panettiere and Adam Brody.

Disney darlings Joe Jonas and Demi Lovato are no longer dating (so many Jemi shippers are so sad…) but while they were together, the duo worked together for this Teen Vogue cover shoot. At the time, they spoke freely about their budding relationship and Teen Vogue caught up with them more recently to ask the two about the break-up:

Whose idea was it to take the next step?
Joe: Mine.
Demi: I had always fancied him. Want to know what actually happened? One night I asked him, ‘What is the deal? We’re perfect for each other. What are you doing?’ And he was like, ‘This is really awkward. I have to go.’
Joe: I needed time to think.
Demi: And I thought, Great, I just ruined a friendship. But the next day, he came knocking at my door. Joe: Once she confronted me, I kind of confronted myself.

Was it hard to see each other with other people?
Demi, ‘Every girlfriend he had, I always wanted to have a friendship with, because I felt like if she was worthy enough to be with him, then she must be great. It sucked, watching, but I was always happy for him.’
Joe: It wasn’t easy.
Demi: Sometimes it was like, ‘So my boyfriend is so awesome.’ ‘Well, my girlfriend is really great.’ ‘Good for you!’ [laughs]
Joe wanted the breakup.
Joe “It could have been better timing, but there’s never really a good time for something like that. I really care about her.”
Demi: We haven’t spent any time together since everything, because that would be awkward, but I’m sure things will go totally back to normal once we’re on tour together. It’s just that at this point I’d rather be hanging out with my girlfriends than seeing my ex.
Joe: In this business, it’s really hard to find people who are going to be there for the rest of your life. When I met Demi, I knew right away that our friendship was really strong. I don’t want to lose that ever.

Movie Trailers – Movies Blog

Teaming up with her Beastly costar, Vanessa Hudgens says it’s “so fun” to work with Neil Patrick Harris again. Harris will direct her in the live performance of the musical Rent this summer and Hudgens will play Mimi.

Describing the sensibility she has in mind for Mimi, Vanessa explained, “I’ve been adding different emotions to certain lines that other people haven’t done before; that’s what we’re playing with. It’s so fun, it’s like a scene within the song.”

Rent goes on August 6th through August 8th at the Hollywood Bowl. Check out her chat with MTV above.

August, the Malaysian men’s magazine has chosen The Twilight Saga actor Kellan Lutz for it’s October cover. The actor who is currently filming Eclipse in Vancouver, tells the mag about how comfortable he is in front of the camera now and that he loves to work out. He looks great in these pics – you can’t deny it.
