Bandslam! stars Vanessa Hudgens and Gaelan Connell were in Boston to judge a bandslam competition. The winner won a meet and greet and photo with the stars and a private vocal lessons. Sweet!

If Vanessa Hudgens does get you into the theater to see Bandslam in August, how about a brand new trailer for that new film you might have heard about: Twilight Saga: New Moon. The Hudgens film begins August 14th and for the opening weekend, this as-yet-unseen trailer for the movie will appear with the other previews. Your chance to see Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner before their movie opens in November.

Vanessa Hudgens stars in a new movie titled “Bandslam”, which tells the story of a high school outcast (Gaelan Connell) that bonds with a popular girl (Aly Michalka) over their shared love of music and results in them assembling a rock group that looks to win their school’s upcoming battle of the bands competition.

Vanessa Hudgens has a lot of movies coming up. Bandslam  is due out in July of this year and she will begin working on Beastly  and Sucker Punch,  both films due in theaters in 2010. Check out what’s she has to say.

Looking beautiful on the cover of Self Magazine for May 2009, High School Musical star Vanessa Hudgens tells of her admiration for Angelina Jolie and how she wants to do action films just like the Tomb Raider star.

“I’m in love with Angelina Jolie,” Hudgens reveals. “Everything she does, I adore.”

Her next movie, Bandslam, is coming out in July but she wants to move onto films with more intensity.

“I’d like to do an action film where I could kick someone’s ass.  I want to be strong and empowered. I want to shock everybody.”

I’m not sure when she gave this interview (print magazines typically work 4 to 6 months in advance of the actual release date,) but she is rumoured to be part of negotiations for the film Sucker Punch  by Zack Snyder and that should whet her appetite for action movies.

A brand new photo for the Vanessa Hudgens summer movie Bandslam has shown up on the net. Due out July 31, 2009, Hudgens co-stars with Alyson Michalka, Gaelen Connell and Lisa Kudrow about a high school misfit and the popular girl who form a friendship and get together a group of teens to compete in a battle of the bands.
