Kristen Stewart and Dakota Fanning are in Park City, Utah at the Sundance Film Festival promoting their other film together The Runaways. The two teen costars popped in to a Joan Jett and the Blackhearts concert at Harry O’s on Sunday January 24th and appeared briefly onstage with Jett and former Runaways bandmate, Cheri Currie.

Fanning is portraying Currie in the upcoming movie and Stewart will be seen as Jett in the pic that chronicles the rise of the all teenage girl band of the seventies.

The flick opens Friday March 19th and will be talked about just for the kissing scene between Stewart and Fanning.

‘Little Ashes’ is set to release this Friday, May 8th, and Robert Pattinson is doing the publicity rounds to promote the independent biopic of artist Salvador Dali. Pattinson gave a two part interview (part one is here and part two here,) to Moviefone and opened up about how he enjoyed portraying the iconic artist and wants to continue doing more biographical work.

And then when you realize you’re walking right and stuff, and people — Spanish people! — know who you’re playing, without the moustache, they know immediately just by looking in your eyes, it’s very satisfying. I like the idea of that; I’d quite like to do it again. And I’m always quite attracted to playing real people.

Pattinson also mentions his admiration for Taylor Lautner’s athleticism and is looking forward to seeing what he does as Jacob Black in ‘New Moon.’

Perhaps she will join the cast of ‘New Moon’  as vampire Jane and work with Kristen Stewart, but right now Dakota Fanning is also in talks to join KS on another film, the Joan Jett biopic. If everything holds up and Fanning is signed on, she would play Cheri Currie, lead singer of the all girl group The Runaways. Stewart is already confirmed to play Jett and filming starts late spring. Hopefully they have a great working relationship.
