Darren Criss hit the red carpet for the 32nd Annual College Television Awards held at the Renaissance Hotel Hollywood in Los Angeles on Saturday, April 9th.

The competition is presented by the Emmys Foundation and recognizes excellence in college students who produce video, digital and film entries.

Criss told Access Hollywood he’s heard the rumors about the Warblers getting their own TV show and said he’s happy either way; staying on Glee or breaking off for the spin off.

“I’m just happy to be invited to the party. A spin-off, whatever they want, I’m happy where I am,” Criss said.

““I think Blaine serves a really cool function in the grander scheme of ‘Glee,’ so I don’t think we need to focus particularly — you know, but if they want to do it, hey, I’m down! Whatever they want,” he added.

Glee returns Tuesday, November 9th with a brand new episode “Never Been Kissed.” This is the episode we finally meet Blaine (Darren Criss) the out and proud student of the Dalton Academy Warblers who becomes sort of a mentor to Kurt (Chris Colfer) and is Kurt’s possible love interest creator Ryan Murphy has been teasing us with all year long. Puck (Mark Salling) returns and becomes friends with Artie (Kevin McHale) as both want to get their girls back: Quinn (Dianna Agron) and Tina (Jenna Ushkowitz.) Charice also pops up again. After Finn (Cory Monteith) and Sam (Chord Overstreet) find an unconventional way of controlling their urges, a few glee club members pick up on the strategy and start using it too. But when Coach Beiste (Dot Jones) gets wind of what they are up to, the glee club has some explaining to do.

One of the most anticipated plot lines for Glee’s second season is Kurt’s (played by Chris Colfer) boyfriend. When Chord Overstreet was cast as a new football player for McKinley High, the rumor mill kicked into high gear – the plot was supposedly to have Overstreet’s Sam as Kurt’s boyfriend and the two would be Homecoming King and King. That looks more and more unlikely as Colfer has told press that there is no romance for the duo in the first four episodes.

EW is reporting that Darren Criss is joining the show as Blaine, a rival show choir member and strike up a friendship with Kurt. However, the word is this is just a friendship for now, but it could, maybe, possibly, somewhere in the future be the couple everyone is hoping for.

Show creator Ryan Murphy is stringing us along but I can’t wait to see how this turns out.
