Blake Lively arrived to the 2011 Costume Institute Gala at the Metropolitan Museum in New York City in very fashionable style.

The Gossip Girl star chose a stunning goddess inspired dress from Chanel’s 2009 collection and posed with Karl Lagerfeld, the designer of the famous French fashion house and the photographer of her new Chanel handbag ad.

The bodice of gown is nude with silver sequins and beading. She wore only earrings and one cuff as accessories and kept her new strawberry blonde color hair down and wavy.

The 2011 Met Gala, as it’s more commonly known, featured an exhibit Alexander McQueen: Savage Beauty which honored the late designer’s body of work.

Blake Lively is joining some Hollywood heavyweights for her next film.

The 24 year-old actress has joined director Oliver Stone’s film Savages, based on the novel by Don Winslow. By accepting this part, Lively cannot take the role of Glinda the Good Witch in Oz: The Great and Powerful, which she was considering. Both are scheduled to begin shooting in June.

In the film the Gossip Girl actress will play Ophelia, the girlfriend and accomplice of two local, small time California marijuana dealers who try to stay under the radar of the big drug cartels. Ophelia is eventually kidnapped and held for ransom.

John Travolta, Uma Thurman, Taylor Kitsch, Benicio del Toro and Salma Hayek are just some of the big names attached to this project with a few roles still left to cast.

Blair has a really tough choice to make. Who will she chose? The rich and handsome Prince or the love of her life Chuck Bass (Ed Westwick)? And what the heck is going on with Dan? Did that kiss mean anything? Blair seems to trying hard to ignore her feelings for Dan.

With Nate’s (Chace Crawford) help, Raina (guest star Tika Sumpter) decides to go on a search for her long-lost mother. Chuck’s (Ed Westwick) hopes about his legacy are dashed with the reveal of devastating information from the past. Liz Friedlander directed the episode written by Amanda Lasher (#419).

Actress Blake Lively looked absolutely stunning in the most beautiful asymmetrical blue dress by Emilio Pucci on the red carpet of the 2011 ELLE Style Awards held at the Grand Connaught Rooms in London, England on Monday (February 14)- more pictures below.

Gossip Girl gets a visit and a performance from Florence and The Machine tonight. Episode 4.14 “Panic Roommate” also gets Blair and Nate together to scheme a little and Chuck continues to woo the competition.

FLORENCE AND THE MACHINE PERFORMS / ANDREW MCCARTHY DIRECTS — Blair (Leighton Meester) enlists Nate’s (Chace Crawford) help to win over her high-strung boss, Epperly (guest star Caitlin Fitzgerald), at W Magazine. Damien (guest star Kevin Zegers) stirs up more drama on the Upper East Side. Chuck (Ed Westwick) finds himself torn between business and pleasure. Florence and the Machine performs an acoustic version of “Cosmic Love.” Blake Lively, Penn Badgley, Kelly Rutherford and Matthew Settle also star. Andrew McCarthy directed the episode written by Jake Coburn.

All of our favorite CW shows are back this week and Gossip Girl leads the week off with episode 12 “The Kids Are Not All Right.”

When we left GG before the holidays Nate (Chace Crawford) was preparing for dear ol’ dad’s prison release, Serena (Blake Lively) discovered why Juliet (Katie Cassidy) was so intent on destroying her, Chuck (Ed Westwick) was caught off guard as Lily (Kelly Rutherford) tries to sell off his family company and there was some flirty looks between Dan (Penn Badgley) and Blair (Leighton Meester.)

The second half of the season looks good! Can’t wait for it to start tonight.

In early December it was announced that Taylor Lautner landed the lead in Incarceron – the movie to be based on the popular book by Catherine Fisher.

The story of the Finn, the teen raised in a futuristic prison, he discovers a way to communicate with Claudia, the daughter of the Warden of Incarceron.

So who is going to be Claudia? Deadline is reporting that Emma Watson, Blake Lively and Jennifer Lawrence are the top three contenders for the coveted part.

Watson just finished the Harry Potter films and has a small part in the upcoming My Week With Marilyn. Lively will be in the Seth Rogen superhero flick Green Hornet (and of course on Gossip Girl). Lawrence was in Winter’s Bone last year and is rumored for a part with Jackson Rathbone in the upcoming Truckstop.

Chuck (Ed Westwick) begins to suspect Lily (Kelly Rutherford) isn’t telling him the full truth. Kevin Zegers guest stars as Damien. Blake Lively, Chace Crawford and Matthew Settle also star.

Blake Lively cozied up to her favorite shoe designer Christian Louboutin at Footwear News 24th Annual Achievement Awards in New York City. Fashionable Blake wore a Prabal Gurung shimmering green dress with (you guessed it!) Louboutin heels.

Lively recently got her hands on a lot of Louboutin heels at a designer sample sale and made off with 40 pairs (see that story here.) The Gossip Girl knows what looks good on her!

Taylor Momsen is back in tonight’s new Gossip Girl. Episode 4.10 “Gaslit” is the last episode Jenny will be in through January. Last week it was reported that Momsen has been sidelined by the show for a while. There are conflicting reports as to why – was she that much of a pain to the show or was it just because her storyline dictates her absence – but none the less, this is it for Jenny Humphrey through the January episodes at least.

TATE DONOVAN DIRECTS THE EPISODE: Chuck (Ed Westwick), Serena (Blake Lively), Blair (Leighton Meester), Dan (Penn Badgley), Jenny (Taylor Momsen) and Eric (Connor Paolo) find themselves faced with a crisis when a member of one of their families is hospitalized.  Meanwhile, Nate (Chace Crawford) attempts to help his parents, The Captain (guest star Sam Robards) and Anne (guest star Francie Swift), put their complicated past behind them and reconcile.  Katie Cassidy guest stars as Juliet.  Jessica Szohr, Kelly Rutherford and Matthew Settle also star.
