Daniel Radcliffe Wishes Prince William & Kate Middleton ‘All The Happiness In The World’
Written by Violet on April 25, 2011 – 9:31 pm -Working on a hit Broadway musical with 8 shows a week leaves you little spare time so it’s no big surprise that Daniel Radcliffe won’t be up Friday to watch the wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton.
“I won’t be getting up at 4AM to watch the wedding. I’ll catch the highlights on CNN because they’ll be running something 24/7,” the Harry Potter actor told Celebuzz.
The British actor does send out well wishes for the famous couple.
“I am very happy for them. I wish them all the happiness in the world,” Radcliffe said.
While he wasn’t invited to the wedding and will sleep through it, Daniel did get some other good news today.
The 21 year-old is among the nominees for a 2011 Drama League Award for his role in the revival of the musical How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying.
Congratulation to Daniel.

Daniel Radcliffe Is Dressed For ‘Business’ Success
Written by Violet on March 27, 2011 – 9:38 pm -Opening night on Broadway is getting to be old hat for actor Daniel Radcliffe, however this time, he added the challenge of song and dance to his live performance.
The Harry Potter actor took to the stage for the revival of How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying in the Al Hirschfeld Theatre on Sunday, March 27th.
Playing J. Pierrepont Finch from the 1961 musical comedy, Radcliffe is charming critics and the audience with his turn as the always-in-the-right-place-at-the-right-time kinda guy.
The 21 year-old has taken on theater before. He was very well received both in London and in New York City for his role in the psychological drama Equus.
Photos of Daniel’s opening night bow are under. Read more »

Daniel Radcliffe Is Colorfully Dazed & Confused
Written by Violet on October 11, 2010 – 12:56 am -Daniel Radcliffe is undergoing a transformation for the November issue of Dazed & Confused. (The editorial photo above gives off a Joker/demented King vibe and has a great creative/artsy feel to it.) The actor is headed back to Broadway to star in How To Succeed In Business Without Really Trying and says he is glad to be unattached:
‘I’ve been in relationships from the age of 14 and now I’m single. I said to a friend the other day, ‘Dude, I’m doing a show with dancers. I’ve got to be single.’ He was like, ‘Don’t sleep with anyone in your show. That’s a mistake.’ It’s good advice. But I’m not sure I’ll stick to it.’
Below is the cover for the issue (low quality scan – I’ll keep looking for a better one to update the post with) and there is a photo of the actor on his first post Harry Potter film, The Woman in Black.
Of course Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1 opens November 19th! Read more »

Daniel Radcliffe September Cover Of Out Magazine
Written by Violet on August 12, 2010 – 11:25 pm -Daniel Radcliffe lands on the cover of Out magazine. The Harry Potter actor is truly committed to his work with The Trevor Project and talks with Out about his passion for the organization:
“When I got to have a tour of the New York [Trevor Project] call center, my admiration for the project, but also for the place and the people, tripled. The systems they have in place, the actual way the call center works on a practical level, is so brilliant and efficient. It’s something I’m very proud to be able to be involved with.”
Radcliffe is heading back to New York City for the Broadway revival of How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying but there is something Daniel says he has to try for success at: dating!
“I was in a relationship with somebody for just about three years, and we broke up just shortly before we hit that mark. But [the breakup] was very amicable. At the moment, I’m just being single and running around chasing girls. (Laughs) I’m not getting too many responses, but, yes, I’m having a go. I’m also starting to go on dates for the first time. I’ve never really done it because all my girlfriends that I’ve ever met, I’ve met through work. So we got to know each other really well at work and then kind of ended up going out.”
He has a great attitude and is so open I’m sure he’ll have quite a few girls chasing him now that everyone knows he’s single.

Daniel Radcliffe’s New Horizons
Written by Violet on July 30, 2010 – 7:48 pm -Gaining acceptance in roles other than as Harry Potter is something that is clearly on Daniel Radcliffe’s mind at the moment. The just turned 21 year old has spent a decade as one of the most recognized literary-turned-big-screen wizards in the world wide phenomenon created by author J.K. Rowling and brought to film by Warner Bros. Feeling adrift after filming ended, the talented actor is keeping busy to ward off getting the blues:
“Working is how I will best get through a very weird time,” Radcliffe said. “I know it’s the most constructive thing I can do because otherwise I’d be moping around and being a bit like, ‘Oh, I miss everyone … ’ So I’m quite pleased to go on to the next thing and the next challenge.”
Thankfully for Radcliffe, he has a lot of great projects lined up for quite a while. A return to the stage for the Broadway revival of the musical How To Succeed In Business Without Really Trying is his first theater gig post HP.
He is also signed on for three flicks: a gothic Victorian horror/suspense film The Woman In Black; a modern version of the classic All Quiet on the Western Front and The Journey Is The Destination - the story of Dan Eldon, the young British photojournalist who was killed in Mogadishu covering the civil war and devastating famine of Somalia in 1993.
Radcliffe has signed on to a diverse set of material that should transition him into older roles and keep him from being typecast. I am particularly interested in the Eldon movie. It is an amazing story of a young man who was just reaching his potential when his life was cut short.
I absolutely enjoy everything in the Harry Potter universe, but I hope to see more of Radcliffe and his talented costars Emma Watson, Rupert Grint, Bonnie Wright and Tom Felton in the future.

Vanessa Hudgens Goes To The Hollywood Bowl For ‘Rent’
Written by Violet on April 9, 2010 – 8:46 pm -Vanessa Hudgens will be in the Hollywood Bowl production of the Broadway hit musical Rent. The actress will be working again with her Beastly costar, Neil Patrick Harris who is directing the live performance.
“She came in for a work session, and I must say, Vanessa really impressed. She looks amazing, has great vocal chops, and seems really committed to honoring the somewhat iconic role of Mimi. I look forward to audiences seeing a dark, edgy, and very different side of Vanessa Hudgens this August.” said Harris.
Vanessa makes her debut August 6th through August 8th.

Abigail Breslin In Nylon Magazine
Written by Violet on January 30, 2010 – 2:34 am -Abigail Breslin has had a string of hit movies at a young age and can make you forget how young she really is (much like Dakota Fanning.) The Zombieland and Little Miss Sunshine star, who is only 13 years-old, is just like lots of other teen girls; having sleepovers with her cousin, loves the Jonas Brothers and is interested in all things Twilight. The actress caught up with Nylon magazine and shared her Twilight love:
“I’m a crazy, obsessed fan. I went to see the first one on opening day,” she says. “But I felt left out because everyone in the audience had Twilight T-shirts and I didn’t. So I have Twilight T-shirts now. And have you seen those Twilight water bottles? I have one of those.”
Currently Breslin is in New York City prepping for her debut on Broadway as Helen Keller in The Miracle Worker. Check out the February issue (with The Vampire Diaries cast on the cover) for more with Abigail.
