Daughter of former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin, Bristol Palin makes her acting debut, playing herself as she welcomes Amy (Shailene Woodley) to a music camp for teen moms on an upcoming episode of “The Secret Life of The American Teenager”, which will air on July 5.

The 19 year-old teen mom did a pretty good job. Everybody’s saying Bristol can’t act, but we can’t be too harsh on her. She is not an actress! Bristol did improve a lot from her teen pregnancy PSA (watch video here) to her role in the show. Congrats Bristol!!

Shailene Woodley will have a pretty infamous guest appearing on her hit ABC Family TV show. The Secret Life Of The American Teenager will see Bristol Palin in a cameo spot this summer during the show’s third season. The daughter of former Alaska governor Sarah Palin, Bristol will play a friend of Amy’s (Woodley) at a music program for teen mothers. No word on Levi Johnston (Bristol’s baby’s daddy) showing up to spoil the scene.

The cable channel Disney XD has scored a coup from rival Cartoon Network by landing rights to Naruto: Shippuden and will begin showing episodes in early October. The original series, Naruto, has been on Cartoon Network since 2005 and is wildly popular.

The Japanese anime is based on the manga written by Masashi Kishimoto and follows the story of Naruto Uzumaki as a tween. With the Nine-Tailed Demon Fox sealed inside him, he strives to become the strongest ninja (Hokage) in his village. Shippuden picks up the story in the fictional universe with Naruto as a teenager. I’m looking forward to this.

The never ending thirst for all things ’Twilight’  related have now brought about a television show for the truly twi-hard fans. ReelzChannel will be adding ‘Twilight Weekly: Spotlight’  to it’s cable programming for your viewing pleasure. From the press release:

On “Twilight Weekly: Spotlight,” an expansion of ReelzChannel’s popular movie documentary series “Spotlight,” viewers can tune in to see the most buzzed-about news, behind-the-scenes coverage and footage of The Twilight Saga: New Moon and Eclipse, interviews with key cast members and fan-favorite characters, not to mention a series of special events that could land some lucky fans on the show.

Starting August 10th at 10pm EST - watch for all the ‘New Moon’  and ‘Eclipse’  info they will have.

MTV is teaming up with Emma Roberts to produce and possibly star in a show for the television channel. The cable channel is trying to revamp and reinvigorate it’s programming and has lots of new talent lined up, including Roberts. With more layoffs announced again yesterday, Viacom, MTV’s parent company, has lots of work ahead of itself to produce some unique new shows for the once innovative channel. Let’s hope Emma ends up in something good and not another lame ‘reality’ show that the channel is now known for.
