New York City is in full Glee-mania.

The cast of the hit TV show are filming the finale (the New Directions group is headed to Nationals) on the East Coast and Mayor Bloomberg took time out to welcome them at a press conference held at the Gershwin Theater.

Joking with the cast, the Big Apple Mayor said “Mayors don’t get a lot of time to watch television, so I don’t know much about this season’s plot but actually it would be great to see what happens with Finn and Rachel.”

“We’ve been filming ‘Glee’ in Los Angeles for two years. We’ve never met the mayor there,” said executive producer Dante Di Loreto.

The show is filming the season two episode (to air May 24th) and they will be around until the 29th. They are scheduled to shoot scenes at some of the major landmarks, including Lincoln Center, Times Square and Central Park.

So far, most of the cast has been spotted, papped and twitterazzi’d all around the city.

Charice performed in New York City on Tuesday (February 8th) at the Woman’s Day Red Dress Awards & Campbell’s AdDress Your Heart at Jazz at Lincoln Center.

The benefit was held to honor women with outstanding contributions to heart-related medical issues like Hota Kotb and Barbara Walters. Natasha Bedingfield and Cee-Lo sang as well as Charice for the event.

On the way into the celebration, Charice did confirm that her character, Sunshine Corazon is returning to Glee for four episodes but couldn’t say more about storyline or when. Finally!

Sunshine will return to ‘Glee’ but the wait continues for a little while longer.

Charice has confirmed she is returning to the show as everyone’s favorite Rachel (Lea Michele) rival. What episode she returns is not confirmed however it is likely to be the super-sized episode following the Superbowl.

What the singer did reveal is that she found out she got the part from fans on twitter. The producers sent her an email, but the news hit the social network faster than the email hit her inbox!

Glee is all new tonight and after last week’s emotional “Furt” when Kurt (Chris Colfer) left New Directions to join the zero tolerance to bullying Dalton Academy, the show choir heads off to sectionals. Good news! Blaine (Darren Criss) returns tonight as Kurt joined the Dalton Academy Warblers and the choirs sing it out at the competition.

Principal Figgins is back as Coach Sue (Jane Lynch) stepped down from the head chair and John Stamos popular Dr. Carl also returns as his relationship with Emma (Jayma Mays) moves along. I wish they’d get Sunshine (Charice) back!

Jesse McCartney was one of many celebrities at the 2010 Annual Tree Lighting Ceremony and Concert at the Los Angeles shopping center The Grove.

McCartney, along with David Archuleta, Charice and Corbin Bleu performed for the audience that included California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger and his family. Jesse sang his hit single “Shake” and you can check the video below.

Performing together in Los Angeles on Saturday night, November 21st, teen stars Charice and David Archuleta gave the crowd a good dose of early holiday cheer for the 2010 Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony at The Grove in Los Angeles.

American Idol alumni David and Glee’s Charice were perfectly paired in red and black and sang the holiday classic “Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas.”

Glee returns Tuesday, November 9th with a brand new episode “Never Been Kissed.” This is the episode we finally meet Blaine (Darren Criss) the out and proud student of the Dalton Academy Warblers who becomes sort of a mentor to Kurt (Chris Colfer) and is Kurt’s possible love interest creator Ryan Murphy has been teasing us with all year long. Puck (Mark Salling) returns and becomes friends with Artie (Kevin McHale) as both want to get their girls back: Quinn (Dianna Agron) and Tina (Jenna Ushkowitz.) Charice also pops up again.
