American Idol season six winner and ‘Battlefield’ singer Jordin Sparks has been announced as the opening act for the 2nd half of Britney Spears North American Circus Tour.

“Britney’s show is incredible and for me to be a part of it is a great opportunity,” Sparks said in a statement.

‘Love, Sex and Magic’ singer Ciara had toured with Spears in the UK and was thought to be the opening act for the rest of the US dates, but she is no longer mentioned. Kristina DeBarge will also appear on all dates as well as Girlicious for some special shows.

Britney Spears celebrated her birthday and the release of her comeback album “Circus” earlier today at Good Morning America. Britney performs her new songs “Womanizer”, “Circus” and receives a special message from some celebrity friends/fans like Hugh Jackman, Reese Witherspoon and Taylor Swift.

Britney Spears Circus

Britney Spears talks for the first time in an exclusive interview about her new album and tour. Brit’s favorite song of the new album to be release on her birthday (December 2nd) is “Circus” so that’s how she decided to name it Circus too! Britney confesses that her next tour will also include songs from her “Blackout” album.
