Grammy golden girl Taylor Swift had a great Sunday night at the 52nd Annual Grammy Awards in Los Angeles on January 31st. The Fearless songwriter picked up a number of trophies, including Album of the Year and Best Country Album at the Staples Center ceremony.

Swift, who wore a beautiful blue Kaufman Franco dress on the red carpet, also performed with Stevie Nicks during the show.

Taylor Swift has grabbed the GL (Girl’s Life Magazine) cover spot for their February/March issue. The singer shares her philosophy on being single:

“I typically don’t ever have a boyfriend on Valentine’s Day. I see it as an opportunity to just hang out with my other single girlfriends,” she recently
told Girls Life magazine. “Being single is something that I have never looked at as being a curse. It’s that time for you to figure out what you like and how you like to spend time by yourself. That’s a gift.”

The singer, who has remained friend with her ex Taylor Lautner, will share the big screen with him (and lots of other Hollywood superstars) in the film Valentine’s Day, opening February 12th.

She’s only 20 but Taylor Swift is planning ahead. The country superstar is preparing her autobiography to be written (someday) by keeping track of her daily life so she has instant recall of all the fabulous happenings she’s a part of.

She tells Britain’s OK! magazine, “Years from now it would be cool to write a book about all the crazy stuff and the insane things I’ve gotten to do. My life moves so fast, I have to write it all down; otherwise I can’t remember where I was yesterday. I will write my biography (sic) for sure.”

Smart! Now she won’t have to rely on her memory.

Superstar Taylor Swift turned 20 earlier this week and to mark her milestone birthday, the singer donated $250,000 to schools around the country

“Something I wanted to do at the end of this amazing year and especially on my birthday was give back to something I really believe in, which is education,” says Swift. “The schools that I went to and the amazing people I got to learn from really turned me into who I am, and I wanted to give back.”

The generous gift will be used to at schools Swift has either attended or worked with in the past and will buy books, pay teacher’s salaries and pay for other educational programs in need. One more reason to love Sweetheart Swift.

Taylor Swift appeared on The Jay Leno Show and answered his 10 @ 10 questions. She has some great stories and this was a nice way to for Taylor to let fans get to know her a little better.

Country singing may be in the cards for actress Leighton Meester as she tackles her next big screen role in Love Don’t Let Me Down. Costarring with Gwyneth Paltrow and Tim McGraw, Meester will play a former beauty queen turned country crooner. Filming for the flick starts in January in Nashville, TN.

Also listed on Leighton’s imdb.com page is another country-ish sounding title: The Uncatchable Cowgirl Bandits of Nottingham, Texas with Amber Heard. Both are big departures from her New York City Gossip Girl character Blair Waldorf.

Superstar Taylor Swift could be under your tree this year, whether you are naughty (Joe Jonas - she’s looking at you) or nice (Taylor Lautner.) The singer’s likeness is being turned into a doll by Jakks Pacific. Ok, so it’s technically not Barbie from Mattel, but you get the idea.

The plastic versions of Swift sing snippets of her hit songs, have cute little mini guitars and are available at Amazon.com for holiday giving.

Taylor Swift was both host and musical guest for Saturday Night Live this past weekend. The country superstar really showed her sense of humor in her SNL opening song. She did briefly mention Kanye West and the VMA’s, Taylor Lautner and Joe Jonas! Funny stuff from the teen.

Taylor Swift and Taylor Lautner have been spotted together again - this time in Los Angeles at The Staples Center as they take in a hockey game. The Fearless singer and Twilight Saga teens were later seen together in the lobby of a Beverly Hills hotel. The duo first met on the set of the movie Valentine’s Day, where they shared an on screen kiss and Lautner was spotted in Chicago to see Swift on her concert tour. They seem genuinely happy together. Let’s hope the media & public scrutiny doesn’t force them to hide like Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart.

Taylor Swift’s new video ‘Fifteen’ premiered Friday morning on CMT. It has a fairytale/dreamy look to it.

The superstar also brought back more of a country sound with this single and it’s great! She definetly straddles the line between country and pop perfectly. What do you think of her video?

Country singing sensation Taylor Swift was recently quoted as saying she would be designing a line of clothing for British retailer Marks & Spencer. Swift told SplashNews via MSN:

“Yeah, I’m coming out with dresses that are inspired by the sundresses I wear.”If I was going to put out dresses, I wanted them to be affordable, especially with the economy doing what it’s doing, so I’m really excited that we’ve accomplished that.”

However, the powers that be at M & S seem to be unaware of the possible partnership. Company reps told SplashNews the following:

“M&S currently have no plans to collaborate with Taylor Swift on a range of summer dresses as misreported in a recent interview. We always look to bring the most exciting and innovative ranges to suit our customers and such collaborations may be something we look to do in the future.”

Well, which is it? Perhaps Taylor just got ahead of herself or the deal fell through - whichever, for now it seems no clothing line coming from her, other than her L.E.I. sundresses.

Taylor Swift is used to the single life but don’t pity her - she doesn’t feel sorry for herself. The teen star says:

“I wasn’t really popular at high school. I’ve never really been sought-after by guys, but I don’t wallow in it. It’s my comfort zone, being single.” An optimistic Swift adds: “I feel that a lot happens to you when you’re not looking for it so I’m not actively looking for a boyfriend.”

She is bright, talented, young and beautiful. Many guys dream about her. It’s only a matter of time before she’s off the market again.
