The last couple of years may have been a low point for former Disney star Demi Lovato, but at least she’s using her struggles to help others who may be going through the same thing!

In a recent interview with Fabulous Magazine the 19-year-old pop star opens up, albeit reluctantly, about her experimentation with illegal drugs.  Namely, her use of cocaine.

It’s something I don’t really want to talk about… What I can say is that I was depressed. I would come off stage in front of 18,000 people and suddenly be alone in a hotel room. I’d come crashing down and would try to find a way to recreate that feeling, to stay ‘up’.

Lovato went on to add that getting her hands on drugs and alcohol was never a problem.

Promoters gave me drugs and alcohol in restaurants or clubs. They wanted me to come back so I would be seen there. They were basically kissing my as… I thought they were my friends. I thought I was having fun. Being a celebrity can be dangerous. Nobody says ‘no’. That’s why so many end up overdosing and dying. It could definitely have happened to me.

As Demi’s days of partying were coming to an end, the Camp Rock actress decided it was time to check herself into a rehab program – and it was the best and hardest decision she ever made.

It was really, really hard and scary. I was homesick and lonely and several times I thought [bleep] it, I’m leaving… I had 14 hours of therapy a day. I listened to music and learned to knit. When I finally left, it was like being let out of prison… I’m not saying I’m perfect, or fixed, but I am learning to love and accept myself… My outlook is more positive and I am happy.

During a webchat interview with MSN Music UK yesterday, pop star Demi Lovato revealed her secret (or not so secret) crush on 1D member Niall Horan.

We think the bigger shocker would be that she doesn’t have a crush on at least one member of One Direction!

The 19-year-old, who’s been linked to hollywood hunks Joe Jonas and Wilmer Valderrama, gushed that Niall is so “adorable” and that he is definitely her current celebrity crush.

Can celebrities have celebrity crushes?  That sort of seems unfair…

For his part, Niall appears to um… tolerate being the object of Demi’s affection, saying, “I’d like to see her, alright.  She’s of similar age, she seems to be a nice girl.”

Wow Niall.  Slow down there.  You don’t want to scare her off with all that mushy romantic stuff…

After signing off from social media nearly a week ago, former Disney star Demi Lovato  has finally decided to make her dramatic return to the Twitterverse.

Hooray!

And it  seems that, at least for now, Twitter is the only thing the 19-year-old will be returning to – that’s right everyone, the social media sign off was not due to the Skyscraper songstress landing herself back in rehab.  Demi told E! News that “all the treatment rumors are utterly false.”

Phew!

However, although Demi has us all pleased as punch that she’s rejoined the world of the Tweeting, we weren’t exactly overjoyed to hear that she won’t be returning to the screen anytime soon.  In an official statement made to UK Glamour, the pop star shared the following:

Right now I don’t need to get in front of a TV camera which adds 10 pounds and makes you feel more self-conscious about your body image… Being on camera makes me nervous. It takes a level of confidence and security which I’m still working on. I’m walking with my head held high, but I never forget that I’m a work in progress. When I’m ready, I’ll find the right role and get back into it, but for now, I’m being cautious.

Good for you Demi!  We’ll all be here waiting for you whenever you decide the time is right!

Pop star Demi Lovato dazzled on the 2012 People’s Choice Awards’ red carpet in a jewel-encrusted, floor length, peach gown from Marchesa.  Her fashion sense has been right on point lately – and we love it.

The 19-year-old stunner had her hands full Wednesday night, performing her latest single “Give Your Heart a Break” and taking home the award for Favorite Pop Artist, which she dedicated to her fans saying,

I dedicate this to you… You guys are absolutely amazing. I love you guys so much.

Oh Demi – you are SO welcome!

Just days after ripping out one of her own extensions while performing, singer Demi Lovato suffered another wardrobe mishap during her concert in Dallas, Texas on November 26th.

The 19-year-old, who was wearing “a vintage-inspired dress with tiers of ruffles and a plunging neckline”, showed a little more skin to her fans than she intended when her “plunging neckline” plunged just a little too low, if you catch our drift…

But like any good performer, Lovato didn’t let one little nip-slip stop her from putting on a great show for her adoring fans – even though she was feeling a little under the weather.  Prior to her Dallas show, the headliner Tweeted,

Woke up so sick this morning but I WILL NOT let it stop me from putting on a killer show in my hometown tonight!!! Come on Dallas TX!!!

Thankfully, the ailing Demi will now get some much-needed downtime, she wrapped her 11-city tour, “A Special Night with Demi Lovato,” in Chicago, IL on Saturday night.

Whoaaaaaa Nelly!  Or should I say, Demi…

Demi Lovato looked absolutely smashing on the Latin Grammy Red Carpet in Las Vegas last night.  Her plunging neckline, coupled with a 40′s inspired ‘do and bright red lips took the 19-year-old singer to a whole new level of not being a Disney star anymore.

According to reports, Lovato is actually wearing the cranberry Roland Mouret gown backwards, which is actually very fashion forward.

Sorry.

Disney’s new fashion line D-Signed is based on the unique style of Sonny Monroe, who is portrayed by Demi Lovato in “Sonny With a Chance”. The clothing line, which is promoted in Demi’s “Me, Myself & Time” music video, will be available (price range: $4.99 – $19.99) at Target stores across the country on August 1, 2010.

Demi Lovato, who just got brand new hair highlights (more photos here), looks absolutely stunningly beautiful and gorgeous in the picture above, which she posted on her Twitter page with the caption, “Me wearing white….. This is rare. Very rare.”

Demi should definitely wear more white. She looks so beautiful. REALLY! We are jealous not only because she looks like one hot chick, but also because she is enjoying a well deserved vacation in Mexico paradise.

‘Sonny With a Chance’ star Demi Lovato is one of the most adorable, talented teens in the business. She also has her very own sense of style and she is sexy but still age appropriate… we cannot forget Demi is only 16!!

Demi on her career: Acting is just kind of a way to pay for the singing. I mean, not anymore. Acting now is like a new challenge, new hobby, a new passion even.

Demi on fashion choices: [I] wear and do what I want. Sometimes, when I want to wear a really hot skirt or something, I think, ‘Would you want your little sister to wear that skirt in two years? No.

Demi on her age: I wish I was older a lot of the time. Because I feel like an adult and I’m working like an adult, but then I wake up and I’m 16 and it’s weird.
