After months of speculation, FOX officially announced that pop stars Demi Lovato and Britney Spears will be joining L.A. Reid and Simon Cowell, as the newest hosts of The X Factor.

Doesn’t it just feel so good to finally have some closure!?

Show creator and judge, Simon Cowell (who’s usually such a grouch…but love him for it!) says that he is thrilled that Demi and Britney are joining the show and that they will be welcomed additions to the judges table.

I’m absolutely delighted that Britney and Demi are joining us… Britney Spears remains one of the biggest stars in the world, she’s talented, fascinating – and I believe she knows exactly how to spot The X Factor…. Demi’s had an amazing career in music, TV and film for someone her age. She’s young, confident, and enthusiastic… It’s important that she speaks to our younger audience. The new panel will be dynamic and will work really well with the changes to the show.

The newly married Spears also spoke out about her excitement over teaming up with Cowell and the entire cast of The X Factor,

I’m a huge fan of the show and now I get to be a part of the action. Simon and L.A. better watch out!

Watch out?  Watch out for what exactly Britney?  Please don’t tell us you think you’re going to go head-to-head with Simon in a battle of wits.  We just don’t think we have the stomach for that…

Move over Miley, there’s a new X Factor judge in town!

According to reports, former So Random star Demi Lovato is in talks with Simon Cowell about becoming the next celebrity judge on the Fox hit show.

If Demi signs on, she will mostly likely join fellow pop star Britney Spears as the shows two female panelists, replacing Nicole Scherzinger and Paula Abdul, who were axed from the reality series after the show’s first season.

We think Demi would be awesome as an X Factor judge.  She’s honest, but knows how it feels to be on the receiving end of some pretty tough criticism – so we don’t think she would be too harsh towards the contensants.

That show doesn’t need anymore brutal honesty (-cough- Simon -cough-)!

Some girls have all the (bad) luck…

Former Disney star Demi Lovato was attacked by a group of slightly over-zealous fans during a concert in Paraguay this week, during a leg of her South American tour.

According to sources, Demi was whisked off-stage by security, after she was bombarded from all angles by fans who ran up on stage during her show.  Lovato eventually returned to the stage, but apparently told fans they needed to “chill out”, if the show was going to continue.

This isn’t the first time the “Give Your Heart a Break” singer has been on the receiving end of abuse at the hands of her fans.  Just last week she got her hair pulled during a riot in Venezuela…

The last couple of years may have been a low point for former Disney star Demi Lovato, but at least she’s using her struggles to help others who may be going through the same thing!

In a recent interview with Fabulous Magazine the 19-year-old pop star opens up, albeit reluctantly, about her experimentation with illegal drugs.  Namely, her use of cocaine.

It’s something I don’t really want to talk about… What I can say is that I was depressed. I would come off stage in front of 18,000 people and suddenly be alone in a hotel room. I’d come crashing down and would try to find a way to recreate that feeling, to stay ‘up’.

Lovato went on to add that getting her hands on drugs and alcohol was never a problem.

Promoters gave me drugs and alcohol in restaurants or clubs. They wanted me to come back so I would be seen there. They were basically kissing my as… I thought they were my friends. I thought I was having fun. Being a celebrity can be dangerous. Nobody says ‘no’. That’s why so many end up overdosing and dying. It could definitely have happened to me.

As Demi’s days of partying were coming to an end, the Camp Rock actress decided it was time to check herself into a rehab program – and it was the best and hardest decision she ever made.

It was really, really hard and scary. I was homesick and lonely and several times I thought [bleep] it, I’m leaving… I had 14 hours of therapy a day. I listened to music and learned to knit. When I finally left, it was like being let out of prison… I’m not saying I’m perfect, or fixed, but I am learning to love and accept myself… My outlook is more positive and I am happy.

While in Venezuela yesterday promoting her latest single “Give Your Heart a Break”, pop star Demi Lovato was attacked by a hoard of crazed fans!

We’ve never really understood why fans go crazy and attack the very people they worship and adore…  Wouldn’t it be more productive to like, we don’t know, just snap a photo or something?

After recovering from nearly being smothered to death by her adoring fans, the newly light-haired Lovato took to her Twitter to vent about the attack.

17 freaking bodyguards yesterday and I STILL got my hair pulled!!! Hahahahaha Venezuela you are INSANE!!! I love you guys.

Pop star Demi Lovato flashed a sultry, makeup-less grin for her Twitter followers last night and can we just say – NO FAIR!

The 19-year-old looked absolutely flawless in the Twitpic and we’d like to know just who she thinks she is making the rest of us feel like ugly trolls!

Demi included the caption “No makeup! Goodnight. xox,” along with her pic, just to make sure we all know how absolutely stunning she is -without even trying.

You win again Lovato.  You win again.

Can we just say – FINALLY!

Demi Lovato has released the music video for her awesome single “Give Your Heart a Break” and the 19-year-old pop star could not possibly look more rockin’ in it!

In the vid for Demi’s second single off her Unbroken album, the former Disney sweetheart really shows off a her abilities as a progressive pop songstress and definitely doesn’t disappoint those of who thought that any followup to “Skyscraper” would fall short.

Sorry about that Demi… We’ll never doubt you again!

In an interview with E!, Demi opened up about her thoughts behind portraying her song’s strong female character,

The song is about not wanting to break the other person’s heart, and really letting them know that you’re not in this to play games, or to hurt them—just that you’re there to love them… I want to put it out there and show that women can be independent on their own…I think that’s the best lesson that I’ve learned—to love myself before any other person,

Love it.

During a webchat interview with MSN Music UK yesterday, pop star Demi Lovato revealed her secret (or not so secret) crush on 1D member Niall Horan.

We think the bigger shocker would be that she doesn’t have a crush on at least one member of One Direction!

The 19-year-old, who’s been linked to hollywood hunks Joe Jonas and Wilmer Valderrama, gushed that Niall is so “adorable” and that he is definitely her current celebrity crush.

Can celebrities have celebrity crushes?  That sort of seems unfair…

For his part, Niall appears to um… tolerate being the object of Demi’s affection, saying, “I’d like to see her, alright.  She’s of similar age, she seems to be a nice girl.”

Wow Niall.  Slow down there.  You don’t want to scare her off with all that mushy romantic stuff…

Pop stars Demi Lovato and Big Time Rush’s Logan Henderson were spotted canoodling last night at the premiere for BTM’s new movie (Big Time Movie) in NYC.  Apparently, the dynamic duo appeared quite smitten with each other and was even seen holding hands as they left the theater!

It’s a match made in GossipTeen heaven!

According to a source, handholding wasn’t the only thing going on between the 19-year-old Disney sweetheart and her man candy.

I saw Demi and Logan kissing at the Ritz Carlton Hotel…
