Only weeks after Glee producers announced that Cory Montheith would be taking a sabbatical from filming, sources are now reporting that Dianna Agron will be leaving the cast for good, later this season.

Apparently, the stunning 26-year-old has been unhappy on set for a while, and wants to free up more of her time to pursue her burgeoning film career.  A source close to the star revealed,

Dianna was unhappy and had been trying to get off the show for a while… She and producers came to an agreement where they let her go. That’s what she wanted.

Could her unhappiness have anything to do with the show’s breakout star Lea Michele’s dive-esque attitude?  She did steal Dianna’s on-screen BF - maybe the blonde bombshell is finally getting fed up with being upstaged by her costar!

Well if that is the case, it certainly won’t be for long!  Dianna is currently filming the movie Malavita alongside HOllywood heavyweights Robert De Niro,Michelle Pheiffer and Tommy Lee Jones, so her name will certainly be mentioned among the A-list crowd in no time!

After spending the 4th of July partying it up with besties Taylor Swift and Patrick Schwarzenegger, Glee star Dianna Agron took some time to give back, by hanging out with her pals at L.A.’s Wildlife Waystation.

The 26-year-old actress stopped by the oldest animal sanctuary in the US to hang out with her pal Rowdy the monkey and share an important call-to-action with her fans.

Hey guys, can you help? I have been lucky to spend some time with the animals at the Wildlife Waystation. It is the oldest nonprofit animal sanctuary in the U.S., and they have been without red meat for a few weeks now due to the supply company having none.

They are now needing to go to the store and buy red meat for 4-6 times the amount they normally pay, because not only do some of the animals need red meat for a proper diet, some will not eat anything else.

Va-Va-Va-Voom!

Glee stunners Lea Michele and Dianna Agron looked unbelievably gorgeous last night at the 2012 Metropolitan Museum’s Costume Institute gala in New York City.

Mrs. Monteith -er- Lea, was dripping in glam in her floor-length, skin-tight, navy gown by Diane von Furstenberg.  Her DVF Tonda Stingray clutch added a touch of function to the otherwise uber-sexy look.  We dig!

For her part, Dianna chose a bright green gown by  Carolina Herrera and killer heels by Sergio Rossi (although you can’t really see them under all that dress…)

Both girls looked picture perfect on the Met red carpet, but our vote goes to Agron.  The subtle hair and makeup really compliment her natural beauty and her dress’ plunging neckline adds just a touch of scandal to an otherwise demure look.

Taylor Swift pulled out all the stops for bestie Dianna Agron’s birthday bash over the weekend.  And wouldn’t you?  There was a major chance that Mark Salling was going to be there!  He’s no Harry Styles, but still!

The 22-year-old country superstar traded in her cowgirl boots for a tiger-print jumpsuit and whiskers for the Glee star’s circus-themed soiree and somehow looked even cuter than her feline BFF Meredith!

Tsweezy tweeted the above pic of her and her gal pals enjoying some fun under the big top, along with the caption,

The most magical night at Dianna Agron’s circus themed birthday party!

No word yet as to whether Lea Michele showed up dressed as a ringmaster, but we’ll keep you posted

The beautiful Dianna Agron, who’s rocking a shorter new haircut, dared to wear a radiant blue gown by Roksanda Ilincic on the red carpet of the 2011 Emmy Awards held at the Nokia Theatre LA Live in Los Angeles, California on Sunday (September 18) – more pictures below.

Before the show, Dianna tweeted, “Nervous jitters like I’m going back to Prom. Don’t know why. Feeling like a little girl in big kids clothes. #funtimes.”

Later, she thanked everybody for her Emmys look: “You know it takes an army! Big thank you to Roksanda Ilincic, Fred Leighton & Roger Vivier for such beautiful pieces to wear yesterday.”

Dianna Agron lands the September cover of Cosmopolitan showcasing her latest hair cut.

The 25 year-old from Savannah, Georgia expressed her desire to keep her life private because it can affect your ability to work.

“It’s really sad looking at people like Lindsay Lohan. She’s an amazing actress, but you see what happens when people know too much about your personal life,” the Glee actress shared.

“They start not being able to look at you the same way professionally. I don’t want that to happen to me.”

Well, DUIs and stealing things don’t help either.

Agron, who’s messy public split from actor Alex Pettyfer is behind her now, is currently rumored to be keeping company with Sebastian Stan.

Marie Claire is Gleeking out the cover of their May 2011 issue! The girls of Glee, Lea Michele, Amber Riley and Dianna Agron, got their own cover and the posed for a group cover of the upcoming issue of the magazine (individual covers below).

The girls have different styles, but they are really good friends contrary to what people might think. The girls look glamorous and fabulous in blue together. In the interview, they talk about the show and reveal Lea and Dianna are rumored to be in a lesbian relationship. GASP!

Marie Claire: – Your character’s friendship with Kurt is so special. Who’s your Kurt in real life?

Amber Riley – “Kurt! Chris Colfer really is my Kurt. That’s my baby. Having his character at that other school – Dalton Academy-this season is driving me up the wall.”

Dianna Agron – “Everybody is convinced that Lea and I are in a relationship. There are forums with photos of us hugging.”

Marie Claire: – You famously got into a car accident on the way to your Glee audition, ditched the rental and ran to the Fox lot anyway. Were you at all afraid they would think you were nuts?

Lea Michele – “I was more afraid that they’d think I was using that as an excuse for being late. Because at first they were like, “Oh, my God are you OK?” But after a while they were joking, “So that ‘car crash’ you were in….” I literally had chunks of glass that I pulled from my hair and put on the table. I look back on that day and think, I can’t believe I did that. I left the car on the side of the road. But something came over me.”
