You can mark this day in your calendars Twi-hards!! “The Twilight Saga New Moon” will be out on DVD and Blu-Ray on Saturday, March 20, 2010, at 12:01 am and you can expect some crazy midnight release parties.

The 2-disc special edition, which includes audio commentary with director Chris Weitz, a 6-part behind-the-scenes documentary plus three music videos, will be available at the price of $32.99 (DVD) and $34.99 (Blu-Ray).

The Jonas Brothers’ hit series JONAS will be available on DVD on January 26 in time to be the perfect gift for Valentine’s Day. The DVD will include seven of the most romantic episodes of the show and a special exclusive feature, “You’ve Just Been Jo Bro’d”, where the brothers, Kevin, Joe and Nick, prank fellow teen stars like Jordin Sparks.

Ready to be released to DVD just in time for The Twilight Saga: New Moon to hit theaters, Robsessed will hit stores in November for all who want more info on Robert Pattinson. From Entertainment Weekly:

It’s not the slightly shell-shocked image of Pattinson: That amuses me. It’s the tag line: “Inside the life of Robert Pattinson.” According to a rep for the release, the documentary features people Pattinson’s worked with talking about his life, as well as “industry commentators” and “a couple of diehard fans.”

What hasn’t he told us or we haven’t heard about him already? Other than not confirming his off screen relationship with Kristen Stewart publicly (which he’s entitled to NOT do) what else do fans want from the guy? Is anyone interested in this? Tell us what you think!

Earlier today I posted about the contest celebrating the DVD orders of Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince. Actors Matthew Lewis (Neville Longbottom) and Evanna Lynch (Luna Lovegood) were on hand launching 1000 balloons from the Millenium Bridge in the UK. Here are some photos from the event. Celebrating the upcoming DVD release of Harry Potter and The Half-Blood Prince on December 7th, Warner Bros. UK is launching 1000 balloons from the Millenium Bridge in London today. Evanna Lynch (Luna Lovegood) and Matthew Lewis (Neville Longbottom) will be there and you can win a chance to visit the set of the last HP movie: The Deathly Hallows. Each balloon will have a tag on it with a code that you use to register online at www.warnerbros.com.uk/harrypotterballoon and if you are a resident of the UK and 18 or older, you could win:

The grand prize draw will take place on December 7, 2009 – being the date on which Harry Potter & The Half-Blood Prince is released on Blu-ray and DVD.The first prize winner will embark on a tour of the Harry Potter & The Deathly Hallows film set before they head off to make-up and wardrobe.

They will then step on to a set for a unique and exciting filming experience, where they will be filmed in the role of one of the magical framed “moving” portrait characters that have adorned the walls of Hogwarts in all of the Harry PotterTM films.

First prize is pretty cool - a chance to be a magical portrait in the castle is sweet. Too bad I don’t live in the UK.

Oliver Irving directed a small independent film How To Be that featured Robert Pattinson before he exploded in popularity as Edward Cullen of the Twilight series. Pattinson had been a part of the Harry Potter phenomenon with his role of Cedric Diggory in Goblet of Fire, however his fan base was nothing compared to what it became with his vampire role. Irving cast Pattinson in between those two blockbusters for the part of Art, a 25 year-old guy stumbling through life confused and without much direction. Irving got very lucky and thanks to Pattinson’s fan base, How To Be is being seen by a wider audience than it probably would’ve been otherwise. With the upcoming DVD release on November 17th - right around the premiere of New Moon - the director is praising Pattinson’s ability to inhabit the character he developed for the film.

How was Robert Pattinson chosen for the role of Art? Did his musical ability play a role in his casting?
“We found him after a year and a half’s worth of casting calls. He just seemed the right person for the job. He was interesting to look at – but down to earth enough to play the part. He really seemed to “get it” – he knew people like the characters in the script, and understood the main character ‘ART’. Not having gone through drama school, Rob’s acting and response to direction fit in well with other main cast members who were not trained actors either. Rob actually underplayed his musical ability in the auditions, as he knew the character was meant to be rough around the edges when it comes to musical ability – but it actually was invaluable in the end that he understood the music references and had the technical ability to pull off what we were asking from him.”

I look forward to catching this on DVD and want to see his flick with Pierce Brosnan and Emilie de Ravin Remember Me when it comes out in February of 2010.

Forks, Washington is now a very famous tourist destination on the northwestern coast of the U.S. The town of 3100 people was once very similar to a lot of smaller towns - until the Twilight phenomenon hit. How has all this attention affected the residents and the day-to-day living? Director Jason Brown made the documentary Twilight in Forks to show the vampire and werewolf fans just what this town was before and after.

“One of the things that you’ll see in the film is how vampires actually relate to Forks, and whether there’s some truth to the characters that you’re familiar with,” three-time Emmy winner Brown told MTV recently about the film, which was shot with high-definition cameras to capture the region’s unique, rain-soaked beauty. “You’ll see shots of the forest and some shots of signs about vampires. … You’ll meet a real-life Bella and a real-life Alice that are in Forks.”

Quite a change from the Salmon Run Derby Days and the old fashioned Fourth of July celebration. Now the Chamber of Commerce offers maps on it’s website and Twilight based events (such as Stephanie Meyer day!) Houses and landmarks that the novels feature are now highlighted on maps, restaurants serve the ‘Swan Sandwich’ and ‘Jacob Black Shake.’ Not that any of these things are bad or negative, just very different from the town before. The documentary will be attached to The Twilight Saga: New Moon when it is released on DVD in 2010.
