Chord Overstreet At Lotus Car Launch
Written by Violet on November 14, 2010 – 1:38 pm -Chord Overstreet attended the Lotus Car Launch at a private residence in Beverly Hills on Friday, November 12th. The actor got to hang with Demi Moore, Alec Baldwin and Olivia Munn as the celebs got to peek at the new offerings from the famous British car brand.
Overstreet and the rest of his Glee cast mates will get mini-me versions of themselves in the Tuesday November 16th episode “The Substitute.” Gwyneth Paltrow guest stars as Mr. Schuester (Matthew Morrison) gets ill and hallucinates the child alter egos of his teen show choir team. Check out the great photo and behind the scenes video of that here.

TeenNick’s HALO Awards
Written by Violet on December 11, 2009 – 8:39 pm -
Nick Cannon is hosting some amazing teens tonight for TeenNick‘s HALO Awards. HALO stands for ‘Helping and Leading Others’ and this generous group understands that reaching out is an everyday occurrence, not just at the holidays. Justin Timberlake, LeBron James, Alicia Keys and Hayden Panettiere suprised the four teens honored by their efforts and handed each a silver baton award. Cannon gave each a check for $10,000 to continue their efforts and a matching check to continue their education. The four winners were:
- Leah Stoltz, 17 for Curvy Girls of Long Island – a support group for people with scoliosis.
- Darrius Snow, 18 for working with kids in tough areas using sports as an outlet.
- Megan Kilroy, 17 for her environmental and community activism.
- Brryan Jackson, 18 for HIV/AIDS outreach and education.
Congratulations to all the recipients.
Did you catch the show? I thought it was great. I hope they do it again next year with more teens who are so inspirational.

Selena Gomez: Being Green is Challenging
Written by Violet on June 25, 2009 – 10:19 pm -
Selena Gomez is working hard at being green and environmentally responsible. Not only is the Disney star involved in Friends For Change, the ‘Wizards of Waverly Place’ star is trying to better herself and change her habits.
“What’s really bad about me is I leave the lights on everywhere I go,” she confesses, adding that she’s trying to improve that with self-reminders via post-it notes.
Gomez does say she has a green thumb that comes from her grandmother and enjoys plants and gardening and she loved biology and botany.
Selena has a packed summer and little time for horticulture. Her movie with Demi Lovato, ‘Princess Protection Program’ is airing on Disney June 26th and she begins filming season 3 of ‘Wizards’ next month. Her WOWP movie airs in August on the mouse network and she just completed ‘Ramona and Beezus’ in theaters March of 2010.
