The Veronicas and Metro Station also performed at the London O2 Arena Jingle Bell Ball over the weekend.

Metro Station guitarist, Trace Cyrus, was on hand to support his sister Miley as she also was part of the Christmas concert.

The Veronicas, sisters Jessica and Lisa Origliasso are now both brunettes!

Wizards of Waverly Place actress Selena Gomez has a big surprise for the girls of the Scott family on this week’s episode of Extreme Makeover: Home Edition. The Disney Channel star will give  the Scott kids an awesome behind the scenes look at her show as their home is being rebuilt. Gomez says of her involvement with the show:

“The little girls in this episode were big fans of the show. They didn’t know where they were going and they just pulled up [to the Wizards set] and were completely surprised. We gave them a huge tour of the set. It was awesome.”

The Jonas Brothers were forced to cancel a tour date in Zurich, Switzerland due to Nick Jonas’s upper respiratory infection so the remaining brothers sat down with an interviewer to talk music. Joe and Kevin were polite and happy to talk about their music only - when asked about their celibacy vows, Joe refused to answer any questions. Perfectly within their right to do so. (The guys have become such seasoned vets at deflecting questions they don’t want to answer.)

The funniest thing of the chat was the mention of Bonus Jonas - Frankie. “Pre-teen audiences of the world: resistance is futile.”

Cam Gigandet was out for lunch in Beverly Hills with Dominique Geisendorff and their baby daughter Everleigh. I always enjoy pics of Cam and his girls.

Gigandet, the original Twilight baddie, has a number of new movies coming out including Priest which I am looking forward to the most. Has anyone seen his last film, that just came out a couple of weeks ago - Pandorum - if so what did you think of it?

As I’ve mentioned before, I just adore Cam Gigandet. Can’t help it - the guy is just seriously hot. That being said, I also happen to love seeing pictures of him with his girlfriend, Dominique Geisendorff and their cute as a button daughter Everleigh. He always seems genuinely happy to be with his family.

Gigandet has a few movies upcoming that I am looking forward too: The Roommate with Leighton Meester and Priest and with Paul Bettany.

Looking lovely in an elegant and lacy black pantsuit, (very old-school Katherine Hepburn glamour) Rumer Willis walked the red carpet for her latest film, Sorority Row - the remake of the 1983 slasher flick. Willis posed with her mother, Demi Moore and the two looked happy and beautiful together in the spotlight. The movie co-stars Briana Evigan, Audrina Partridge and Jamie Chung.

Check out the pic of her braids - so milkmaid-ish. I love it! I do wish she’d stop with that pose she does - (second pic below) it’s so stiff and unnatural looking.

Because things like this don’t happen to you or me, (and I certainly don’t wish it on anyone, let alone my most favorite redheaded royal) I thought I would recap what a strange week it must have been to be Prince Harry.

Starting off his week, a pair of inept burglars attempted to break in to the home he shares with his brother, Prince William, as they complete their military training in the Shropshire area of the UK. The wannabe thieves are believed to have been clueless to who lived at the special house with 24 hour surveillance and armed guards. Seriously… duh!

Then comes word the brothers may have had their phones hacked by journalists. Two years ago, a private investigator and a former editor from England’s News Of The World magazine were sent to prison for the breach of privacy of some aides and secretaries to members of The Royal Family including their father, Prince Charles. New evidence is suggesting that the princes’ phones may have been compromised as well.

Detective Chief Superintendent Philip Williams, from the Metropolitan Police, raised the possibility at the Commons Culture, Media and Sport Select Committee.

When asked if he suspected journalists had hacked into the princes’ mobile phones, Mr Williams told the committee: “Yes, I think they may well have done.”

While that is disturbing and creepy, Harry can breathe a bit easier as the Taliban chief who threatened his life has been assassinated. A member of the Australian military found his approved target and killed Mullah Abdul Karim. Karim stated that Harry was “… our special enemy” when the prince was deployed to the Helmand province of Afghanistan in March of 2008. Karim was reported to be a heavy recruiter for the Taliban, disrupting election procedures and directly responsible for many attacks. The Australians ended his life on August 10th, but are just releasing the information now.

On top of all of that, Princes Harry and William have the anniversary of the fatal Paris car crash that took the life of their mother on August 31st, 1997. Princess Diana is missed by many people all over the world but certainly no one feels the loss more than her two sons.

After all that, kudos to Harry for keeping a low profile and his head on straight while all the madness and sadness erupts around him.

Being a top musical act isn’t enough for teen Taylor Swift. Branching out as an author, the country music star is reportedly getting ready to write a cookbook featuring her family’s traditional recipies.

“I’m writing a cookery book with all of my family’s recipes!” Taylor is quoted as telling Sugar magazine. “My mum’s teaching me her brisket later on today. I’m going to throw a dinner party for all my friends and teach them too!”

Earlier this year, the singer/songwriter already stepped out of music and into fashion with L.E.I. sportswear sundresses sold exclusively at Wal-Mart.

Sugar Magazine is a top selling British teen mag and while the quote may (or may not) be accurate, the phrasing was most like changed (cookery and mum are not used in the US by teens very often.)

Emma Watson may have a magical history to her family tree. According to Ancestry.com, the young actress is related to a 16th century woman who was convicted of being a witch.

…English records show Watson’s distant relative was Joan Playle of Essex County, England, a 16th-century English woman convicted of witchcraft in 1592.Details are sketchy — naturally — and Playle’s conviction remain a mystery. She was unmarried, which often led to witchcraft accusations. During the Elizabethan era, poor, homely, old, widowed single women were often declared to be witches.

Apparently Playle was not executed but instead excommunicated (basically blacklisted/thrown out of) the Church of England.

Interesting bit of trivia on Emma’s family.

The Harry Potter star Emma Watson is furious with the reports coming out of a fake Twitter account that she is supposedly going to Yale University.

A statement on her official website said: “There have been several rumors spreading recently that Emma has accepted a place at Yale University after ‘telling her fans via her Twitter account’.

“Emma does not have a Twitter account and these rumors are false. Emma is still trying to decide whether she wants to attend university in the UK or the USA and hasn’t accepted any placements at this time.”

Emma is planning on going to college and has applied to various universities but there is no official word on where and what she is going to take.

She is beautiful, smart and incredibly talented and now has to choose which college she will attend. Emma Watson has made the cut for both Cambridge University in the UK and Yale here in the US. Cambridge is where her family is and it has been said she is leaning towards the prestigious academic institution. Yale would certainly give her an American point of view and is another world class college.

Watson has a tough choice in front of her, like many other teens, but either choice will give her a fantastic opportunity to discover what she wants from life.

Out for a fun family day, Miley Cyrus and her boyfriend Justin Gaston went to a skating rink with her parents and siblings on sunday afternoon. All the girls had on super stylish headbands and Miley had a pair of cute retro 80’s shiny leggings - perfect for the rink. Mom and dad (Tish and Billy Ray) were on hand as well and everyone went out to grab a bite to eat afterwards.
