Emma Watson Snags Singapore Seventeen Cover
Written by Violet on November 27, 2010 – 10:46 pm -Emma Watson scored the Singapore cover of Seventeen magazine for December 2010. The Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Part 1 actress has a fresh holiday look for the year ending issue.
Emma is always stylish and fashionable but one popular bandwagon the Brown University sophomore will not jump on is the celebrity fragrance train. Watson said:
“I can’t understand this fragrance thing. Why would you want to smell like somebody else? Don’t you want to smell like yourself?”
Watson is committed to continuing in the fashion industry in a capacity that helps others or the environment (such as her People Tree collaboration or her more recent pairing with Alberta Ferretti.) She is so strongly opposed to celebrity branding she said:
“The idea of making my own perfume makes me want to vomit.”
That’s pretty definitive. No Emma scent for the masses.

‘Eclipse’ DVD Behind The Scenes Of Taylor Lautner’s Wolf Transformation
Written by Violet on November 21, 2010 – 8:33 pm -Taylor Lautner and Kristen Stewart are sharing a serious moment together in this behind the scenes DVD extra of The Twilight Saga: Eclipse.
The featurette shows how the film makers get Lautner in the scene as Jacob the wolf, while Stewart interacts with the real deal in a gray bodysuit. The special effects crew “erases” human Taylor and digitally inserts him in his much hairier form. Check it out below.
Eclipse is out on DVD and Blu-Ray on December 4th.

‘Breaking Dawn’ Casting News: Maggie Grace & Mackenzie Foy Added
Written by Violet on September 28, 2010 – 9:24 pm -The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn cast has just gotten a little larger.
Maggie Grace and Mackenzie Foy join the roster for part one of the final films in Stephanie Meyer’s popular series.
Grace will get the unenviable job of playing the Denali clan vampire Irina – the one who turns in Edward (Robert Pattinson) and Bella’s (Kristen Stewart) freaky kid to the Volturri. Grace is best known as the kidnapped daughter in Taken and of course, Shannon on LOST.
Foy is a newcomer who steps into the role of the weirdly aging vampire-baby Renesmee.
BDawn is set to start production in October and the casting news should start rolling in fairly frequently now.

Emma Roberts ‘Scream 4′ Is “Going To Be Really Fun”
Written by Violet on September 27, 2010 – 8:08 am -Emma Roberts is excited for movie goers to catch the Scream 4 when it hits theaters on April 15, 2011. The actress feels this film is better than the 90s super popular trilogy. Roberts says:
“It’s going to be really fun. I think that this is the best one, dare I say. It’s amazing because they have the original cast—Courteney Cox, David Arquette, Neve Campbell—and then we have this whole new young cast we’re introducing that’s, to name a few, me, Hayden Panettiere, Rory Culkin who I’ve done a few movies with, which is great, and Wes Craven’s directing this one, and he’s just one of the coolest people I’ve ever met.”
Unfortunately the plot is being kept super secret but we do know Roberts is playing Jill, the cousin to (Campbell’s) reporter Sydney. In addition to Roberts and Panettiere, Lucy Hale, Shenae Grimes and Aimee Teegarden are part of the huge ensemble cast.
Are you excited for another Scream movie?

‘Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows’ Epic New Trailer
Written by Violet on September 26, 2010 – 10:27 pm -Warner Bros released a new trailer for Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows Part 1 earlier this week and WOW! does it look amazing! This trailer gives a fantastic preview of the epic battles we will see on screen in November. The official synopsis:
Part 1 begins as Harry, Ron and Hermione set out on their perilous mission to track down and destroy the secret to Voldemort’s immortality and destruction—the Horcruxes. On their own, without the guidance of their professors or the protection of Professor Dumbledore, the three friends must now rely on one another more than ever. But there are Dark Forces in their midst that threaten to tear them apart.
Meanwhile, the wizarding world has become a dangerous place for all enemies of the Dark Lord. The long-feared war has begun and Voldemort’s Death Eaters seize control of the Ministry of Magic and even Hogwarts, terrorizing and arresting anyone who might oppose them. But the one prize they still seek is the one most valuable to Voldemort: Harry Potter. The Chosen One has become the hunted one as the Death Eaters search for Harry with orders to bring him to Voldemort…alive.
Harry’s only hope is to find the Horcruxes before Voldemort finds him. But as he searches for clues, he uncovers an old and almost forgotten tale—the legend of the Deathly Hallows. And if the legend turns out to be true, it could give Voldemort the ultimate he seeks.
Little does Harry know that his future has already been decided by his past when, on that fateful day, he became “the Boy Who Lived.” No longer just a boy, Harry Potter is drawing ever closer to the task for which he has been preparing since the day he first stepped into Hogwarts: the ultimate battle with Voldemort.

Elle Fanning Is ‘Somewhere’
Written by Violet on August 31, 2010 – 7:12 am -Elle Fanning has grabbed a plum part in director Sofia Coppola’s latest film Somewhere. Dakota’s younger sister is poised to shine on her own in the father/daughter drama set in Los Angeles. Fanning is the 11 year-old Cleo, who gives her father (played by Stephen Dorff) a reason to change. Here is the official synopsis:
Johnny Marco (Stephen Dorff) is a bad-boy A-List actor stumbling through a life of excess while living at Hollywood’s legendary Chateau Marmont Hotel. His days are a haze of drinks, girls, fast cars and fawning fans. Cocooned in this celebrity-induced artificial world, Johnny has lost all sense of his true self.
Until, that is, his 11-year-old daughter Cleo (Elle Fanning) unexpectedly shows up and unwittingly begins to anchor him. Johnny’s fragile connection to real life slowly revives in her presence. So when the time comes for Cleo to leave, his sense of loss is palpable, but the gift of hope she has also brought him leads to a beautiful, poetic denouement imbued with all of Coppola’s remarkable powers to conjure mood and atmosphere.
Quiet and understated, Coppola’s movies are magnificent hidden gems to discover and she brings out wonderful performances in the actors she casts (think Scarlett Johannson and Bill Murray in Lost In Translation.) I look forward to seeing Elle and Stephen light up the screen. Check out the trailer below.

‘Scream 4′ Adds ‘Pretty Little Liars’ Lucy Hale
Written by Violet on August 28, 2010 – 8:16 pm -Cameos are plentiful in Scream 4 as Pretty Little Liars star Lucy Hale is added to the expanding cast. Shanae Grimes of 90210, Kristen Bell and Anna Paquin are also popping in to the ultra successful movie franchise created by The Vampire Diaries head writer Kevin Williamson.
Filming has been underway in Michigan with Emma Roberts, Hayden Panettiere, David Arquette and Adam Brody.
So who is going to be killed in the opening scene? Oh, Mr. Williamson – what trick do you have up your sleeve?
So much fun trying to guess but we will have to wait until April 2011 to find out for sure.

‘Detention’ Nails Josh Hutcherson
Written by Violet on August 4, 2010 – 10:30 pm -Josh Hutcherson has been a bad boy. He’s getting Detention.
In this case, it’s actually a good thing. The actor is adding producer to his resume with Detention; a teen comedy/horror flick that will see Hutcherson star in as well as produce. What’s the big D all about? Surviving the last year of high school and not getting killed of course!
Filming starts next month in LA and then the Kentucky Colonel (yes, he is an honorary Colonel) heads off to to film the second Journey to the Center of the Earth in October.
