“True Grit” star, Hailee Steinfeld, who was nominated for an Oscar of Best Supporting Actress, is set to become Sleeping Beauty in a new movie take of the fairy tale of the sleeping princess written by Lindsay Devlin.

In this movie, the story is told from the princess’ point of view as she enters the dream world  and desperately tries to escape (Inception-style). The 14 year-old actress lands her first major leading role after losing the lead role of “Hunger Games” to an older actress, Jennifer Lawrence.

Hailee was also recently cast in “Forgotten”, a movie about a girl who loses her memory every day at 4:33 pm. This is going to be Hailee’s year!

Actress Hailee Steinfeld, who is nominated for the Oscar of Best Supporting Actress, attended a special screening of her movie “True Grit” with her co-stars Josh Brolin and Jeff Bridges at the 61st Berlin International Film Festival in Berlin, Germany on Thursday (February 10)- more pictures below.

The 14 year-old said about her breakout role, “Everything about it…the movie is such an adventure. My character, Mattie, she’s on this journey trying to find her father’s killer and I, myself, am on this journey or filming this film. It was a really amazing experience.”

Actress Hailee Steinfeld looks beautiful and super classy at the 2011 Academy Awards Nominee Luncheon held at the Beverly Hills Hotel in Beverly Hills, California on Monday (February 7)- more pictures below.

The 14 year-old, who posed with her co-star Jeff Bridges, made quite an impression with her big screen movie debut performance as Mattie Ross in the Coen Brothers’ 2010 adaptation of “True Grit”, which earned her an Oscar nomination for Best Supporting Actress.
