Evan Rachel Wood has been hired by legendary fashion house Gucci to be the spokesperson for their new women’s fragrance. Frida Gianni, the creative director of Gucci  had this to say about Evan:

“Evan Rachel Wood is such a talented and beautiful actress. I have always admired her confidence and her ability to transform herself in front of the camera. Even though she can appear shy at times, when the camera starts rolling, she becomes animated and vivacious. She is incredible, very sexy, and her eyes and face really attract the people of her generation.”

The launch of the new perfume and when the ad campaign featuring Wood will hit is still being kept a secret.

The actress is currently filming Mildred Pierce for HBO with Kate Winslet.

Inspire magazine has a great group of up-and-coming teen actresses as the focus of it’s February issue. These seven young actresses are ready to step into the big time limelight.

Since 2008, Inspire magazine has been striving to reach teenagers across the globe in pursuit of inspiring the generations to be great and to do great and also keep readers entertained through popular culture. Spiderman is getting the Broadway musical treatment and Evan Rachel Wood will be on board. ‘Spider-Man: Turn Off The Dark’  will begin preview performances in February of 2010 at the Hilton theater in New York City. Wood will portray Mary Jane, spidey’s girlfriend. No word yet on the casting of the radioactive spider bitten guy Peter Parker, who woos Mary Jane and fights crime but we will keep you posted.

Wood also joins HBO’s vampire series ‘True Blood’  for a couple of episodes later this season.
