Heroes star Hayden Panettiere, who is currently single, attended a meeting on teen pregnancy prevention for National Teen Pregnancy Awareness Day in NY and spoke her mind about the difficult subject.

Hayden said: “I don’t think it’s something that’s talked about enough and I think that it’s just human nature to not realize the severity of an issue until it happens to you, until it directly impacts your life. And you go, ‘I’ll never get pregnant. It will never happen to me. I know it happens but it won’t happen to me. I’ll never get in a car accident, I know it happens, but it won’t happen to me.’ Until it happens and then it’s too late.”

So teens, if you are really doing it just put it on!! Safe sex is cool!! Buy a condom or lots of condoms… it even comes in different flavors! Hayden also revealed she wants a big family but only when she feels she is ready for it.

Hayden confessed: “I want a family. I want kids. I actually want a lot of kids. Not like ten, like four. And if it’s something that you go, ‘Oh I can’t wait to be a mom,’ that’s great, but think about it for your child and go, ‘I want to be a mom but I want to be the best mom I can be. And the only way to be the best mom I can be is by waiting until I’m no longer a child and waiting until I can teach them the best morals and raise them the best I can with a good education and a good platform. ‘ ”

Hayden sounds so mature for her age!

On her insecurities: “I’m getting there, but I think I have the same insecurities as most girls. I’ve never had really skinny arms, so whenever I do photo shoots, it becomes a lot about the angle that work with my arms. Also, I’ve a bit of a rounder face, so I work the angles there too.”

On growing up in the public eye: “It definitely make life more difficult. There’s a lot of criticism. It blows my mind that people want to find flaws and things to pick at. Growing up with the pressure to be thin and the fact that TV adds at least five pounds… it was tough.”

On what bothers her: “The thing that bothers me the most is when people make up stories about me being rude or unpleasant. I don’t think I’m an unpleasant person, but you’ll run into somebody in a restaurant and, completely out of nowhere, they make up a story that you were rude in some way.”

Approaching various media outlets, she snapped again: “You all make my life miserable” and refused to answer any questions.

It’s official our favorite Heroes stars Hayden Panettiere and Milo Ventimiglia are no longer dating. The reason for the split was obvious, Hayden likes to go out and live the glamorous Hollywood lifestyle while Milo is more private and doesn’t like to go out and be seen in public displays of affection.

“It was a lifestyle conflict,” a source close to the couple tells Us, adding that the split happened within the last week. “They were in very different places.” Adds the insider, “They are still on friendly terms. There are no hard feelings.”

Milo and Hayden made such a cute couple, we are sad they broke up. But girls, Milo is single again!! YAY!

You can never do wrong with a black dress! Heroes star Hayden Panettiere hosted the NBC Universal’s pre-Super Bowl party in Orlando on Saturday night. She looked great – just simple and classy.

What the 19 year-old actress didn’t know was that she was flashing the cameras a little more than she sought! Milo Ventimiglia is one lucky guy – he landed a hot girlfriend with sexy lingerie!!
