The search for the next Peter Parker is over. According to The Cineman Source, Logan Lerman has been tapped to play the awkward teen bitten by a radioactive spider who develops superpowers and becomes the crime fighting Spider-man.

The role was widely sought after and lots of stars had been rumored to take on the action franchise, including Kellan Lutz, Chace Crawford, Daniel Radcliffe and Zac Efron. The director of (500) Days of Summer, Marc Webb is planning on this film being 3-D with the technology from James Cameron’s film Avatar.

Assuming this is true: Who should play his sweetheart, Mary Jane Watson?

Selena Gomez? Demi Lovato? Emma Watson? Tell us who you’d like to see Logan paired with.

Twilight hunk Kellan Lutz hit Cosmo Magazine’s radar as a Fun Fearless Male for their February issue and the actor stopped by to party with the other guys Monday night in NYC. While Breaking Dawn is rumored to start filming this fall (and will be split into two films - just like the Harry Potter series finale) the Emmett Cullen actor isn’t resting on his vampire laurels. The actor is costarring with another Twi alum, Ashley Greene in Warrior and the latest Nightmare on Elm Street reboot. Oh yeah, and there are those hot hot hot seriously sexy Calvin Klein underwear ads…

The Vampire Diaries star Paul Wesley got the ‘Fun, Fearless Male’ nod from Cosmopolitan Magazine for their February issue and the actor dropped by the party Monday night to celebrate. Held at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel in New York City, the actor posed for the photographers solo and with Kellan Lutz, the other vampire actor on the scene.

Gossip Girl star Ed Westwick was named a Fun Fearless Male by Cosmopolitan Magazine for the February 2010 issue. Westwick, who will play Heathcliff in the big screen movie version of Wuthering Heights, attended Cosmo’s dude bash on Monday March 1st in New York City at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel to celebrate with other fun, fearless guys. The Vampire Diaries is heating up after it’s long winter nap and just in time for the new episodes, Nina Dobrev, Paul Wesley, and Ian Somerhalder have scored the cover of Nylon Magazine for February. Here is an excerpt:

The show is hot hot hot and after this past week’s return with “Bloodlines” and all the reveals - the show is just getting better. Actor Taylor Lautner, who is the highest paid teen star in Hollywood, was seen out and about looking smoking out in jeans, black shirt and sunglasses. Taylor has a fabulous new ride, a sports car, but not any sports car, an Audi R8. HOT!

Earlier in the week, Nobu hosted the 2nd Annual Golden Globes salutes Young Hollywood Party in California. The December 8th event had the super hot cast of the CW show The Vampire Diaries including Katerina Graham, Nina Dobrev, Kayla Ewell and Ian Somerhalder.

The Vampire Diaries on CW is so hot and so is Katerina Graham who attended Damiani Diamond & The Hollywood Reporter’s ‘Power 100 Women in Entertainment Cocktail Party.’

Graham is also costarring with Leighton Meester and Cam Gigandet in The Roommate due out in September of 2010.

While TVD is on hiatus and no new episodes until January 2010 (boo hiss boo!), enjoy the pics of Graham working her style for the event.

Kayla Ewell attended the TV Guide Magazine Hot List Party in Los Angeles Tuesday night at the SLS Hotel The Bazaar in a sizzling hot dress. The actress was recently killed off the super hot show ‘The Vampire Diaries’ by Damon (Ian Somerhalder) but Ewell looks like she hasn’t missed a beat in her slinky fire engine red number.

His transformation and keeping the pivotal role of the popular teen movie franchise is the kind of story Hollywood loves. As for Lautner, he’s already looking ahead to the next installments to be filmed:

“My character continues to grow, so I’d like to pack on at least a few more lean pounds,” he says.

If you haven’t started watching The Vampire Diaries, what are you waiting for? The CW Network has a juicy hit on their hands and has extended the show another 9 episodes for the year. With all the deaths of the peripheral characters, there has to be an injection of fresh blood (pun intended!) for the thirsty Damon (played so deliciously by Ian Somerhalder) to snack on.

Enter Sean Faris and Malese Jow as new additions to the cast.

EW.com is reporting Faris will be a buddy of Matt’s (Zach Roerig) who will bartend at the only place in town where everyone goes, Mystic Grill. A possible romance/hook-up could be in the future for Faris’s character Ben. Sean also starred with another former vampire, Cam Gigandet, in the flick Never Back Down.

TVGuide.com says Jeremy (Stephen R. McQueen) will get a gorgeous friend in newcomer Malese Jow. Jow will play Anna and give Jeremy some friendship, comfort and perhaps something more. The pair are expected to uncover a mystery. Jow is no stranger to TV with roles in Unfabulous with Emma Roberts, Hannah Montana with Miley Cyrus and iCarly with Miranda Cosgrove.
