Kristen Stewart fantasy fairy tale film has finally found it’s leading man.

The upcoming Snow White and The Huntsman has gone through a few possible actors to fill the role (Viggo Mortensen, Hugh Jackman) but Thor star Chris Hemsworth has grabbed up the role of Eric the Huntsman.

Hemsworth will be a bounty hunter working for Ravenna, the Evil Queen (Charlize Theron) who needs Snow White (Stewart) killed to remain fairest in the land. When Eric learns of the Queen’s involvement in his own wife’s death, he helps Snow escape and trains her to fight back.

The film is scheduled to be released in December of 2012.

Robert Pattinson is headed to Cosmopolis. The big screen adaptation of the 2003 Don DeLillo novel has found a director in David Cronenberg and it’s lead actor: Pattinson.

The Twilight actor will be Eric Packer, a Manhattan financial manager who starts out one morning in April wealthy, married and headed downtown for a haircut but ends up being followed by assassins and in financial ruins by the end of that same day.

Filming is set to begin in late spring of 2011.

Pattinson is currently finishing The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn in New Orleans.

Political satire of the 2008 election wrapped up in a butter carving competition may not sound like a compelling movie until you hear the cast that is attached: Ashley Greene, Jennifer Garner, Alicia Silverstone, Hugh Jackman and Olivia Wilde. Here is a synopsis of the movie:

“Jennifer [Garner] is the leading lady Laura — the Hillary Clinton of this scenario who is poised to win the butter-carving competition. Her husband, played by Ty Burrell, is a term-limited butter carving champ who picks up a stripper mistress [Wilde] along the way. While that is developing, Laura finds her plans to win the competition thwarted by a young African American upstart, played by Yara Shahidi. Ashley is playing one of the other competitors (Kaitlen Pickler.)”

This has potential, taking it out of the male dominated field of election campaigns and making the potential candidates women could be great. Let’s hope it’s smart and witty and not trite and catty.

The theatrical release of The Twilight Saga: New Moon is still a month away yet from the amount of press Summit Entertainment is having the film leads do (Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart & Taylor Lautner,) you’d think it was only a week to go. That being said here is yet another interview with Robert Pattinson. Not too much new information from the guy – he’s still uncomfortable with the media frenzy that surrounds him and he’s relieved to not be in New Moon as much as he was in Twilight. He does however delve a bit into another project he has coming up with Hugh Jackman; Unbound Captives. The actor hung out with Jackman in Japan (both were promoting movies) and Pattinson said:

“We went karaoke singing,” he laughs. “We were singing Abba songs, it was pretty funny. It was sort of an Abba song sing-off, you know, last man standing.”

Who won? “I think he did, only because he can drink more than me and still sing in tune. He’s a cool guy and I’m really looking forward to that film.”

Captives sounds like a great departure for Rob. The film is a western set in the late 1800′s about a woman who has to search for her two kidnapped sons. It will also star Rachel Weisz and is currently slated to begin filming at the end of the year.

Pattinson’s other non-Twilight project, Remember Me with Emilie de Ravin and Pierce Brosnan is due out in February of 2010. In case you’ve forgotten, New Moon is due out November 20th.

The new movie Personal Security may or may not have teen star Miley Cyrus attached to it, but now we know for certain, Hugh Jackman will not be playing her bodyguard in this particular film. Just before the 4th of July, news leaked of a business dinner between Jackman and Cyrus and multiple studio execs. The resulting story was of an updated version of The Bodyguard starring Miley and Hugh – minus the love story angle. Interestingly enough, it’s taken Jackman’s reps a month to finally say “totally false” to the rumoured pairing.

Who would you like to see play Cyrus’s security? And don’t say Robert Pattinson – be creative!

Miley Cyrus is reportedly set to star with Hugh Jackman in the new movie ‘Personal Security.’  This is an updated version of the Whitney Houston/Kevin Costner film ‘The Bodyguard.’  There will be no love story between the headliners as was in the original and Jackman will play a hard-boiled New York City detective forced to protect Cyrus’ bratty heiress after she receives kidnap threats. Jackman and Cyrus were spotted having dinner with movie executives in Los Angeles and it has been taken as a sign that the movie is a done deal, however imdb.com is still listing it as ‘in development’ with no cast or director attached.

The off-screen ‘High School Musical’ couple of Vanessa Hudgens and Zac Efron will be together on stage at the 81st Academy Awards show in Los Angeles. The Disney duo will present an award and they will be part of a musical number with host Hugh Jackman and Amanda Seyfried and Dominic Cooper of ‘Mamma Mia!’  Should be fun as Amanda and Dominic are also romantically involved after starring together in a movie. The Oscars are Sunday evening February 22nd.

Britney Spears celebrated her birthday and the release of her comeback album “Circus” earlier today at Good Morning America. Britney performs her new songs “Womanizer”, “Circus” and receives a special message from some celebrity friends/fans like Hugh Jackman, Reese Witherspoon and Taylor Swift.
