Selena Gomez performed in Los Angeles at the 2010 KIIS FM Jingle Ball at the Nokia Theater on Sunday December 5th. The “A Year Without Rain” singer performed her hit as her Wizards of Waverly Place costars David Henrie and Jake T. Austin looked on. Gomez had lots of support from her Ramona & Beezus pal Joey King too.

The 2010 Hollywood Christmas Parade was held Sunday evening through the streets of Tinseltown and lots of young stars were a part of the annual kick off to the holiday season. Chelsea Staub, Kyle Massey, Molly Quinn, Taylor Spreitler, Jake T. Austin, Rico Rodriguez, Ashley Argota and Boo Boo Stewart all spent their night riding down Hollywood Boulevard for the celebration.

The 31st Annual Young Artist Awards, held by the Young Artist Foundation, will take place April 11th at the Beverly Garland in Studio City, California. The foundation, which offers support and scholarships to financially and physically challenged young people who want a future in the entertainment industry, announced it’s nominees for this year’s ceremony.

Demi Lovato, Emma Roberts, Taylor Lautner, Miley Cyrus, Dakota Fanning, Selena Gomez, Miranda Cosgrove, Abigail Breslin, Saoirse Ronan, and Jake T. Austin are among those up for awards.

The end of 2009 is here today so let’s take a look back at the best TV shows aimed at and about teenagers. Some are more realistic than others and some are just downright guilty pleasures, but here are the Top 10 of 2009.

10. Gossip Girl - CW

Based on the books by Cecily von Ziegesar, the series about spoiled NYC teens on the Upper East Side was launched in 2007 and has been a favorite ever since. While ratings have slipped this year, it is still talked about. The cast (Leighton Meester, Blake Lively, Chace Crawford, Taylor Momsen, Jessica Szohr, Ed Westwick, Penn Badgley) is super hot and garners lots of press. Hopefully the storylines will pick up and get it back on track.

9. Make It Or Break It – ABC Family

Chelsea Hobbs, Josie Loren, Ayla Kell and Cassie Scerbo are the gymnastic Olympic hopefuls at “The Rock” in Boulder Colorado, training for their shot at the big time. ABC Family’s hit show (scoring their second best premiere) gives athletic teen girls a chance to see and strive for something more than boys and clothes.

8. True Jackson, VP - Nickelodeon

Keke Palmer is terrific as the Vice President of a teen clothing line and her navigation in the world of business and all the normal drama that comes from being a teenager. Palmer is funny, charming and talented. Her costars Ashley Argota and Matt Shively play off her well and the premiere set lots of ratings records for the network.

Madame Tussaud’s in Hollywood hosted a big bash for the great under-25-volunteer organization DoSomething.org. The ‘Power of Youth’ event was attended by tons of teen celebs: JoJo, Corbin Bleu, Debby Ryan, Abigail Breslin, Ashley Greene, Maggie Grace, Christian Serratos, Victoria Justice, Jake T. Austin, Shenae Grimes, Lucas Till, Chelsey Staub, Shailene Woodley, Drake Bell and Josh Hutcherson. The stars were out on the red carpet Saturday night.

Selena Gomez, David Henrie and Jake T. Austin were on the daytime talk show ‘The View’ this week chatting about their upcoming Disney Channel movie and the special effects, their Emmy nomination and Jake being the voice of Diego on ‘Go Diego, Go.’ Don’t forget – The ‘Wizards of Waverly Place’ first ever movie airs Friday August 28th.

Selena Gomez, David Henrie and Jake T. Austin are all part of DCOM’s behind the scenes peek of the upcoming ‘Wizards of Waverly Place’ movie. The WOWP movie premieres on the Disney Channel, Friday August 28th. Who’s planning on watching?

With her movie Hotel for Dogs, that opened last weekend, actress Emma Roberts is bound to get lots of questions about the pets in her life. Yes, she does have a dog and her long haired chihuahua, Twiggy, is one very spoiled little pup.

“My dog has a dog bed in every room in the house,” she tells me [writer Valerie Nome]. “I have little dog beds everywhere. She’s really cute. My sister goes and pushes her around wherever in her baby doll stroller. My sister’s 7, so she loves playing with the dog.”

Jake T. Austin co-stars with Roberts in the movie and has two dogs, Bogey and Beju, who are also pampered canines.

“My dad owns a restaurant, so we joke that my dogs eat like kings and queens,” the Wizards of Waverly Place star, 14, tells me. “He’ll take home spare filet mignon, and my dogs will eat that. They eat and live like kings. We have a huge property and a really nice house. I don’t think they realize how lucky they are.”

Austin also mentions that his WoWP buddy, Selena Gomez has learned to surf quite quickly as he’s been teaching her, but David Henrie is not as fast picking up the sport.
