Taylor Momsen Dons Pink For Samantha Thavasa
Written by Violet on June 25, 2011 – 5:18 pm -Taylor Momsen is known for head to toe black clothing (when she chooses to wear clothes at all) but for handbag company Samantha Thavasa, the singer opted for a pretty shade of pink for a nice change.
Momsen, 17, is the new face of the Japan-based accessory brand and she took the stage modeling a large black satchel in a petal colored shift dress while most of the other girls wore outfits in her preferred shade of black.
The former Gossip Girl told the interviewer that she “didn’t follow trends” but she was into long skirts because she likes options.
See her first promo shot and the short video below. Read more »

Zac Efron Looks Lonely In ‘The Lucky One’
Written by Violet on November 12, 2010 – 11:57 pm -Looking like his luck just ran out, actor Zac Efron is working the hot, lonely guy angle for his new film The Lucky One.
Nicholas Sparks wrote the romantic drama and Efron plays Logan Thibault, a young Marine who returns safely home after three tours of duty in Iraq and spends his days searching for the unknown woman he believes was his lucky charm.
In these two photos that have popped up online, you can tell – the Charlie St. Cloud actor has certainly been hitting the gym!
Efron will not get to use those new arms in Akira. The actor was rumored to be in talks for a part in the movie Leonardo DiCaprio’s production company is working on, however it is now reported that Efron is out of the running for any role in the film.

Is Zac Efron Eyeing ‘Akira’ Role?
Written by Violet on November 6, 2010 – 8:06 pm -Zac Efron might be looking at a role in an American adaptation of the Japanese manga Akira. The actor has (possibly) been offered the lead role of Akira, the young man who develops paranormal/psychic abilities that he looses control over and devastates Tokyo in an apocalyptic explosion.
The movie has been in development for a while and Leonardo DiCaprio and Joseph Gordon-Levitt were also rumored to be attached to the film, but each have denied the casting rumor.
GossipTeen will keep an eye out for a confirmation or denial.

Disney XD Gets ‘Naruto: Shippuden’
Written by Violet on September 11, 2009 – 11:53 am -The cable channel Disney XD has scored a coup from rival Cartoon Network by landing rights to Naruto: Shippuden and will begin showing episodes in early October. The original series, Naruto, has been on Cartoon Network since 2005 and is wildly popular.
The Japanese anime is based on the manga written by Masashi Kishimoto and follows the story of Naruto Uzumaki as a tween. With the Nine-Tailed Demon Fox sealed inside him, he strives to become the strongest ninja (Hokage) in his village. Shippuden picks up the story in the fictional universe with Naruto as a teenager. I’m looking forward to this.

Noah Cyrus and Frankie Jonas Voice Ponyo
Written by Violet on July 10, 2009 – 8:27 pm -
Little siblings Noah Cyrus and Frankie Jonas were part of the American cast of voices for the Japanese animated film, Ponyo that premiered at a film festival in Los Angeles about 2 weeks ago. Hayao Miyazaki is a brilliant storyteller that Disney and Pixar now release his films in the US because they admire his work. Spirited Away, Howl’s Moving Castle, Princess Mononoke and Kiki’s Delivery Service are all part of Miyazaki’s long list of great films. The films opens all over the US on August 14th. If you’ve seen it already, let us hear what you think of the youngest Jonas Brother and Miley’s little sis.
