Sam & Cat, the fantastic iCarly/Victorious spinoff show starring Jennette McCurdy and Ariana Grande has been picked up by Nickelodeon for a full 20-episode season!

The show, which follows Sam (Jennette’s iCarly character) and Cat (Ariana’s character from Victorious) as two unlikely roommates who start their own after-school babysitting business, will air on Nick in 2012.

According to a source,

This show promises to deliver on what our audience loves most about these two favorite characters — laugh-out-loud humor and non-stop adventure, and is sure to be a compelling new chapter for our new comedic duo.

Ariana and Jennette are more than excited to get the opportunity to reprise their beloved characters.  In a recent interview, Ariana revealed that,

‘Sam & Cat’ shows new sides of both Sam and Cat,… We get to show more of what we’re like at home and Cat’s somewhat responsible, so it’s cool.

Jennette also opened up about why she is so pumped to continue playing Sam.

The character lives on and that makes me happy because Sam is just too fun to not play…

The 2011 Angel Awards for Project Angel Food were held on Saturday night in Hollywood with two Nickelodeon stars supporting the cause: Jennette McCurdy and Ariana Grande.

McCurdy, 19, wore a short sleeveless dress with red, white and black patterns and Grande, 18, wore a blue floral patterned, cap-sleeve dress from Tibi.

The iCarly and Victorious cuties posed together at the celebration which included celebs Jennifer Love Hewitt, Pauley Perrette and Jessica Lange.

McCurdy and Grande posed with NCIS star Perrette for a pic she posted to twitter saying they were “Sweet Beautiful Girls.”

“@PauleyP it was so wonderful meeting you! You’re so warm and funny. We have your show on at our house all the time!” Jennette tweeted.

Project Angel Food delivers meals to people suffering from HIV/AIDS, cancer and life threatening illnesses. The healthy meals are prepared and delivered in the Los Angeles area and the organization serves more than 13,000 meals a week.

Girls just wanna have FUN! iCarly star Jennette McCurdy dared to have some fun and wore a super cute Mandalay short black dress to attend the 2011 Academy of Country Music Awards held at MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas on Sunday (April 3)- more pictures below.

The 18 year-old singer/actress just won the award for Favorite Sidekick for her role as Sam Pucket in Nickelodeon’s iCarly during the 2011 Kids’ Choice Awards over the weekend (photos here). The show iCarly starring Miranda Cosgrove also won the Best TV Show KCA.

iCarly star Jennette McCurdy is currently busy promoting her debut country album titled “Not That Far Away”. The 18 year-old worked with some big names in country music to deliver something that would “strike a chord” and touch people, while staying true to herself as an artist. Jennette is proud to be a country star!

On why she chose country over pop: “It’s always been my favorite. I found that I could relate to it more than any other genre and I felt like it was so honest. It told stories like nothing else and it spilled everything right out on the table. There’s hardly a country song that plays that doesn’t make you smile and want to dance or want to make you have a tear trickling down your cheek, so for country music to evoke those kinds of emotions, I guess that’s what drew me towards it.”

On her album telling people who she is: “I really wanted to just be honest to myself, stay true to myself with every song and deliver a CD that I felt reflected who I am as a person and tell the stories of my life because I feel that that’s what people will relate to the most. Country music strikes a chord in peoples hearts that makes you think ‘wow! I know exactly what they’re talking about. I felt that before.’ I wanted people to be able to feel the same thing and I felt that could only be accomplished if I really wrote what I knew.”

iCarly star Miranda Kerr and her sidekick Jennette McCurdy look absolutely adorably beautiful in matchy blue dresses while filming a scene for the upcoming season of the popular Nickelodeon show. Nathan Kress and Jerry Trainor also look rather elegant in the picture.

Actress Jennette McCurdy looked absolutely stunningly elegant at the red carpet of the 45th Annual Academy Of Country Music Awards held at MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas on Sunday (April 18). The 17 year-old iCarly sidekick released her first single about a year ago but she is working on a debut album since she signed a deal with Capital Records Nashville.

iCarly star Jennette McCurdy looked beautiful in a cute blue dress on the orange carpet of the 23rd Annual Kids’ Choice Awards held at the UCLA’s Pauley Pavilion in Los Angeles on Saturday (March 27).

Miranda Cosgrove and Jennette’s iCarly won the award for “Favorite TV Show”. Congrats to both because they are a fantastic duo and the show will not be so good without Jennette’s tendency to get into trouble!
