If there was a way to write out in words the way Bugs Bunny looks when he sees a beautiful women – well, we’d do that here.

American Idol winner Jordin Sparks looked absolutely gorgeous at Tuesday night’s premiere of her latest film Sparkle.  The 22-year-old star, who’s currently dating hip hop artist Jason Derulo, showed off her newly svelte figure in a red peplum sheath with matching patent leather stilettos.

When asked about her secret behind her recent 50-pound weight loss, the affable singer replied,

There is no secret… It’s just better eating and working out! It’s definitely a daily thing.

My mom’s best friend is a Zumba instructor and I loved it… I started with walking then went to jogging and then Zumba… I started [working with a trainer] and we did 30 minutes of circuit training… So I didn’t feel like I needed to be in the gym for two hours.

The now-film star’s work(out) ethic has certainly paid off – Jordin landed the cover of this month’s Shape Magazine!

I could only dream of having a cover and looking like that… I thought, ‘I did it!’ I had to walk back to my dressing room and . . . pull myself together because I was overwhelmed. I cried. I shed a little tear.

Way to go Jordin!  We’ve been rooting for you since A.I. Season 5!

American Idol alum Jordin Sparks made a delightful appearance on Today with Kathy and Hoda last week to discuss her career and blossoming relationship with fellow artist, Jason Derulo.

You know, the guy that says his name at the beginning of all his songs?

The newly svelte 22-year-old looked absolutely beautiful as she chatted it up on the early morning talk show and didn’t bat an eye when Hoda brought up the purity ring she famously wore during her run on Idol.

You know what, I switch it from day to day — I don’t wear it exactly every day anymore. . . I can’t say what’s going to happen a couple months from now, or whatever. People grow, you know.

We think it’s cool that Jordin has enough conviction to rock the ring at all - and apparently NFL star Tim Tebow agrees.  Last week, the Denver Bronco’s quarterback Tweeted a picture of he and Sparks along with the caption, “Absolute pleasure meeting @JordinSparks! Awesome girl!”

Whatever your belief system, you have to admire someone willing to stand up for their convictions – especially in Hollywood.

We just thought we should start this post out the same way as Mr. Derulo starts all his songs.

Despite reports that hip-hop artist, the aforementioned Derulo, is dating American Idol winner Jordan Sparks, the 22-year-old insists that they are “just friends”, Tweeting,

Jordan Sparks is an absolute sweetheart. She’s a very nice girl. We’ve been friends for a while now. We’re just friends.

But a source close to the Derulo says the two have had eyes for each other since Sparks lost over 30lbs and started turning some serious heads in Hollywood.

She lost over 30 pounds and looks amazing – and he told her. It started there and they have been really reconnecting, now as lovers and not just friends.

Ew.  Don’t say “lovers”.

Will we see a Derulo/Sparks mashup sometime soon?  Stop that.  I meant on the radio.  Get your heads out of the gutter!

Jordin Sparks shows off her impressive weight loss in a twitter self-portrait she posted last week wearing mismatched bikini pieces.

The 21 year-old American Idol winner has lost a reported 30 pounds in the recent months by changing her way of living and was, maybe, perhaps, just a little inspired for some revenge.

Sparks phoned into On Air with Ryan Seacrest on Friday and the host asked her if the revenge bit was true.

Jordin told Seacrest ”you know what, it was just one of those things and it just started instead of just talking about being active, I made it a priority.”

Adding, “I was talking to somebody and then we just decided we would be friends and it was one of those things were I was turning 21 and New Years was coming and it was like I’m not going to start my resolution on New Years day, I’m going to try to start it early and just stick to it.”

Sparks is very smart and doesn’t completely deny she wants someone else to know what they’re missing.

“Well if I had revenge, I hope it worked!” she said.

Indeed!

American Idol alum Jordin Sparks is taken to a magic world in the music video for “The World I Knew”, released as the theme song of Disneynature’s new movie “African Cats” (watch video below).

The music video features some exclusive scenes from the movie. If you haven’t watch it, you don’t know what you are missing. The movie tells the story of a lion cub (it’s the most adorable thing ever!) and a cheetah mother, who will do anything to protect her cute cubs.

African Cats Official Synopsis:

African Cats, referred to as a “true life adventure,” tells the true story of two animal families in the wild by using real-life footage. The film focuses on a young lion cub named Mara being raised by her mother, Layla, a mother cheetah named Sita who is raising five newborns, and Fang, the leader of a pride defending his family from a banished lion. With so many species competing for space and food in the savannah, the animals must figure out the best way to survive.

Jordin Sparks slipped into a little black dress and amazed the crowd with her fabulous figure.

The American Idol season 6 winner attended the Muhammad Ali Fight Night XVII charity event in Phoenix, Arizona over the weekend and chose a black mini with a deep v neckline and lace insert, highlighting her curves.

The 21 year-old, who used to model for plus-size line Torrid, is rumored to have lost 30 pounds and 6 dress sizes! Fantastic! Jordin always looked great and if she’s happier and healthier than before, even better.

Singer Jordin Sparks shinned in a red hot Zang Toi gown on the red carpet of the 2011 Grammy Awards held at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, California on Sunday (February 13)- more pictures below.

The 21 year-old American Idol season 6 winner confessed she would work again with Chris Brown, who she believes deserves a second chance after what happened with Rihanna. Chris and Jordin made sweet music together and the 2008 song “No Air” was born.

“I love Chris, I think he’s amazing. He was such a gentleman, he was bouncing off the walls,” Jordin said of her time working with the artist. “I know people are very critical, but I think he’s really tyring and he’s getting there. He’s doing things that he says he’s going to do. I think everyone deserves second chances. I’d love to work with him again.”

Jordin was also asked about what she thinks of Idol’s new judges, Steven Tyler and Jennifer Lopez. Here’s what she had to say:

“I love Steven Tyler and Jennifer Lopez – she was a mentor on my season so I felt it was a perfect mix and a perfect fit. Steven says the most hilarious things, he’s so funny. I’m excited to see what Jimmy Iovine will bring on the artist development side of it.”

Lea Michele and Jordin Sparks were among the many singers and musicians who came out to celebrate the 2011 MusiCares Person of the Year Tribute to legend Barbra Streisand at the Los Angeles Convention Center.

American Idol winner Sparks hit the red carpet of the event with very cute purple streaks in her hair.

Glee star Michele performed for Streisand and took on the classic number My Man.

Disney opened a brand new store in Time Square in New York City today and American Idol alum Jordin Sparks belted out a couple of songs for the ceremony. Disney Times Square property is 20,000 square foot and is their largest retail store.

Sparks attended with NYC Mayor Bloomberg and sang her rendition of the classic Disney tune “Beauty and the Beast.”

American Idol winner Jordin Sparks officially threw her musical hat into the celebrity fragrance ring when she launched her scent “Because Of You.” Sparks’ perfume is aimed at her fans and has fruity, floral, girly ingredients like clementines, orange blossom, vanilla, amber, peony and orchid.

In this economy especially, my fans deserve a high-quality, reasonably priced scent,” Sparks revealed in a chat with Women’s Wear Daily this month. “I looked at some other celebrity fragrances and they were like $80. Even now, I look at a fragrance that’s $80, and I can’t bring myself to spend that much.”

Jordin’s eau de parfum is reasonably priced and exclusive at Dots until November 5th.
