On-again/Off-again celebrity couple Katy Perry and John Mayer have called it quits… again.

According to sources, the pair, who’ve been steadily dating since September 2012, are no longer an item, but are keeping their options open.

It’s sad… It’s not over until it’s over. You have to see how things play out.

A second source added,

She’s leaving the window open. They have both been so focused on work.

So, basically what we’re saying is get ready for another Mayer/Perry reconciliation in about oooooh three weeks

Despite the fact that both Mayer and Perry have openly discussed how “happy” they were with their relationship, things appeared to have taken a turn for the worse earlier this week when Perry Tweeted,

ATTENTION: Mercury is OUT of retrograde today. Thank GOD.

We have absolutely no idea what that means, but it definitely doesn’t sound like a good thing…

After John Mayer and Katy Perry were spotted having a romantic meal at The Cut in L.A.’s Brentwood neighborhood on Valentine’s Day, rumors swirled that the pair are finally taking their relationship to the next level!

So, was it the couple’s intense levels of PDA that got the rumor mill a-spinnin’? Or perhaps a certain twinkle in their eyes?  Maybe – but our money is on the giant, ruby ROCK on Katy’s engagement ring finger.

Although neither celeb have confirmed or denied an engagement, ring designer Daniel Gibbings said that Mayer picked out the bling himself and was ”really super nice” while shopping for his GF.

While Perry’s, whose marriage to comedian (and all-around disgusting human being) Russell Brand ended in divorce last summer, may be ready to settle down again, we’re kind of surprised that Mr. Mayer seems ready to take the leap as well.

When asked about his relationship with the “Firework” singer during an interview with CBS This Morning, Mayer responded,

I don’t feel like I’m in a celebrity relationship… For the first time in my life I don’t feel like I’m in a celebrity relationship. I really don’t. I’m not in a high profile, I know it’s high profile. It’s hard to explain.

Sounds promising, but is the former playboy really ready to get married and be a one woman man?

Of course.  I mean, I’m still the kid from Connecticut. That’s what you do.

Rihanna and Chris Brown’s reunion during the 2013 Grammy Awards on Sunday night has caused quite a stir – especially among the couples’ celebrity friends.

A source close to the ‘Stay’ singer revealed that she and longtime pal Katy Perry are on the outs due to her relationship with her on-again/off-again beau.

They aren’t tight anymore because Katy doesn’t approve of Rihanna dating Chris Brown.

And this is surprising news!?  We’re still in shock that Chris Brown is allowed out in public after the way he treated his so-called girlfriend.

According to reports, Chris and Rihanna were ”getting very affectionate” throughout the awards ceremony and were caught whispering sweet nothings into each others’ ears at the Zing Vodka Post Grammy Party at Hollywood’s Supperclub.

On-again/Off-again Pop power couple Katy Perry and John Mayer spent this Christmas giving back to the less fortunate when they visited patients at a local hospital on behalf of The Dream Foundation in Katy’s hometown of Santa Barbara.

We love to see celebs giving back – Especially around the holidays!

It appears that the couple spent Christmas together with Katy’s family and we’ve got to assume that these two lovebirds are officially back ON… at least for now.

Another pal of the couple added,

John has proved he’s matured and learned from his mistakes . . . Katy is blown away.

Blow away enough, in fact that the 28-year-old singer shared the photo below, along with the caption “Santa Baby” with the 30-million Twitter followers on Christmas morning!

Some people just never learn…

Wide Awake singer (yes, we’re aware of the irony dripping from this sentence) Katy Perry is apparently back “on” with her on-again/off-again love interest John Mayer.  The two were spotted canoodling at a music festival over the holiday weekend listening to bands and stealing a few not-so-private kisses.

Are we surprised that Katy’s gotten back together with her ex?  Nah, not really.  Do we think John Mayer should shove that cowboy hat way up his butt where it belongs?  Absolutely.  Do we think the chick on the far left of this photo is freaking fantastic?

You better believe it.

After only a few brief months of courtship, pop stars John Mayer and Katy Perry have split.

According to an insider, the Queen of California singer was the one to pull the plug on the summer romance.

John did a real number on Katy. She held off from his advances for the longest time, but he laid on the charm thick and promised her he was a changed man. She eventually gave in, fell head over heels for him and then – yep – once he had made his conquest, he dumped her.

Sounds like a real charmer!

While many would expect the Part of Me songstress to fall apart after being dumped (yet again), and according to reports, that’s not that far from the truth.  When Katy and John both attended a dinner party of a close mutual friend, the two avoided each other like the plague.

It was so weird! Katy stayed in one room the whole night and John stayed in the other and when they passed each other they both just kept their head’s down. It was like they had this incredible animosity for each other and everyone else at the party could feel it.

Ew.  In our opinion,  Katy shouldn’t waste another moment on that womanizing excuse for a man.  Onward and upward Katy!

Eyewitnesses have spotted recently divorced pop star Katy Perry looking more like her old self these days!  Maybe it’s because the 27-year-old singer has been flitting around Hollywood, being “affectionate, holding hands and cuddling,” with fellow pop artist John Mayer.

Thursday evening, just three days after Katy’s divorce was finalized, she was spotted at Hollywood’s Soho House with Mayer.  The pair was also spotted the following evening having a romantic pizza date for two at Katy’s house.

We’re just going to come right out and say it – that sounds downright adorable!

While according to reports, Katy has also been dating Florence & The Machine guitarist Robert Ackroyd, Katy is super psyched to have “…nailed down her crush!”.

She’s had her eyes on Mayer for years!

It’s been a roller coaster year for Katy Perry: an A-list divorce, a slew of hit singles and now a 3D docu-concert set to hit theaters this July.  Does this girl ever sleep?

In a never-before-seen teaser for the film, Katy is shown hitting a water park during an off day on her recent California Dreams tour, while her sister Angela explains their “professional” relationship.

We always kind of had this deal that when she made it big, that I was going to work with her and we were going to be together…Anytime we go to a city when we have a day off, she always likes me to explore something fun with her… Katy likes to work hard while on tour, but she also likes to play hard.

Part of Me promises a behind-the-scenes look at the good (and the bad) of being on of the world’s biggest pop stars, and we’ve got to admit, we’re pretty stoked to see it!

Pop star Katy Perry pulled out her razor-sharp claws during a recent interview with BBC Radio 1, and took a swipe at fellow diva Beyonce and her 2007 hit “Beautiful Liar”.

According to the interview, Perry and her bestie Rihanna, are currently working together on a duet to be released later this year and they are absolutely not using Beyonce as their muse.

We’ve collaborated on a lot of things, but just not songs yet… It’s one of those things that’s got so much build up that we have to deliver… I want it to be like that Eurythmics and Aretha Franklin song ‘Sisters Are Doin’ It for Themselves… Not ‘Beautiful Liar.’

Katy are you sure you really want to go on the offensive with Ms. Beyonce Knowles?  Not only could she probably beat you to a pulp, but she’s got a new baby and those mama bear hormones are not something you want to mess with.

Just a little friendly advice.

Nothing screams “lover scorned” like an international pop star in the midst of a very public divorce.  Enter Katy Perry and her dirtbag of a husband, Russell Brand (sorry, did I just say that?  I mean this divorce has to be his fault, right?  Maybe it’s not – okay, I take back the “dirtbag” remark) who’ve now taken their disdain for each other to the cyber level.

According to Twitter.com, Katy has unsubscribed from Russell’s Twitter feed, which is not all that surprising considering the pair don’t even speak face-to-face anymore.  A source close to the 27-year-old Perry says that,

She’s limiting those interactions… He’s being so atrocious that she feels like she never really knew him.

While Brand continues to follow Perry in the Twitterverse, he may just be doing it to dig up more dirt for his forthcoming tell-all book about his 14-month marriage to the “Firework” singer.

Oh by the way, I un-take back the previously retracted “dirtbag” comment.
