Katy Perry absolutely ROCKED it while attending her first red carpet since splitting with husband Russell Brand just last month.

The 27-year-old looked beyond fabulous in a bright blue bob and a body-hugging teensy black dress by McQ.  The Firework singer also had her pal and jewelry designer Markus Molinari in tow for a little added support as she helped raise money for his GiveLove Foundation, which aims “to provide temporary housing solutions and sanitation systems in earthquake-stricken Haiti.”

According to an insider Katy was “very bubbly and happy looking” as she hob-nobbed with party-goers and apparently tried to free her mind of her back-stabbing, SOB of an ex-husband.

Too harsh?  I think not.

Nothing screams “lover scorned” like an international pop star in the midst of a very public divorce.  Enter Katy Perry and her dirtbag of a husband, Russell Brand (sorry, did I just say that?  I mean this divorce has to be his fault, right?  Maybe it’s not – okay, I take back the “dirtbag” remark) who’ve now taken their disdain for each other to the cyber level.

According to Twitter.com, Katy has unsubscribed from Russell’s Twitter feed, which is not all that surprising considering the pair don’t even speak face-to-face anymore.  A source close to the 27-year-old Perry says that,

She’s limiting those interactions… He’s being so atrocious that she feels like she never really knew him.

While Brand continues to follow Perry in the Twitterverse, he may just be doing it to dig up more dirt for his forthcoming tell-all book about his 14-month marriage to the “Firework” singer.

Oh by the way, I un-take back the previously retracted “dirtbag” comment.

Talk about a power couple!

Since splitting with her “Shagger of the Year” husband, Russell Brand last week, pop star Katy Perry is already rumored to have moved on to greener, slightly “purer” pastures – namely Denver Bronco’s quarterback, Tim Tebow.

According to sources, the “Teenaged Dream” singer’s parents (who’ve voiced their understandably low opinions about Russell, since the split) are trying to set their 27-year-old daughter up with the former University of Florida star by inviting him to be a guest speaker at their Huntington Beach, California church.

Sounds like a pretty good strategy to me!

[Katy's] mentioned on more than one occasion how much she likes Tim… Katy’s mom firmly believes the best cure for heartache is to quickly fall in love again… In her mind, Tebow is the perfect guy for her daughter. He’s handsome, charming, intelligent and above all, a good Christian.

After formally announcing their divorce last month, A-list couple Katy Perry and Russell Brand have had to combat an onslaught of vicious rumors regarding the reason for their split.

For the most part, the couple has chosen to keep quiet about their reasons for ending their year long marriage, but after dealing with tabloid speculation week after week, Perry has finally decided to speak out via her Twitter account saying,

I am so grateful for all the love and support I’ve had from people around the world. You guys have made my heart happy again.

Concerning the gossip, I want to be clear that NO ONE speaks for me. Not a blog, magazine, “close sources” or my family.

I hear ya girl, but ummm, just between you and me – what really happened???

Funny man Russell Brand has filed for divorce from singer Katy Perry, his wife of just over a year.  According to court documents, Russell cites “Irreconcilable differences” as his reason for ending the marriage.  Can you really have “irreconcilable difference” after being married just 14 months?  What – was she not preparing the tea and crumpets just right Russell old boy?

And weren’t we just talking about these two taking time off to start a family like… a minute ago?

Earlier today, Brand released a statement regarding the divorce, which read:

Sadly, Katy and I are ending our marriage. I’ll always adore her and I know we’ll remain friends.

I don’t get it.  If you still adore her and want to “remain friends” – why are you breaking up?  I just don’t get these flash-in-the-pan celebrity romances and I guess I never will.

Pop star Katy Perry is known for keeping us guessing in the fashion department, and whaddya know – she’s gone and surprised us again!

The singer recently chopped off her flowing lavender locks and opted for a fresh blonde bob, courtesy of stylist Rita Hazen.  According to Hazen,

[Katy] wanted to do something different — an easy, effortless honey blonde… She’s having fun with her hair color now, which I love.

Of course, this isn’t your standard blonde “bob”.  Katy wanted something edgier to complement her personality and to achieve this look Hazen kept the ends of Katy’s “a little bit darker” to give it some dimension.

We didn’t want it too solid or boxy… She has to work something that’s cool.

Grammy nominated artists Nicki Minaj and Katy Perry can now add immortality to their list of 2011 accomplishments – not bad for two gals with pink hair…

Minaj and Perry are slated to become the newest additions to the Mattel family.  Production on the plastic likenesses of these two successful songstresses has already begun and sources say that they will be as realistic as possible.

Right, just like how the original Barbie is a “realistic” version of the typical woman?  Aaaand I’m getting off my soapbox.

Apparently the NIcki Minaj doll will have, “every signature detail, right down to the tattoo on Nicki’s left arm.”  No word yet regarding whether or not the Katy Perry version will have all the Teenaged Dream star’s tats in place.

According to sources, Mattel is only going to make one of each doll and will auction each of them off on December 7th to benefit the Project Angel Food organization.

Although Katy Perry and husband Russell Brand have gone very public in recent weeks about wanting to start a family, the pop star swears that she’s not pregnant… yet!

According to an interview with The Insider, Katy insists that she’s not quite ready to give up her party girl ways for motherhood.

I still love drinking alcohol so [I'm] not [pregnant] yet. I like In-N-Out Burger and Taco Bell and if you want to make that pregnant that’s your problem.

Whoa there Katy.  Retract those fangs!  No one’s saying you’re chubbing out – relax and go get yourself a double-double animal style, guilt-free!

As GossipTeen previously reported, pop artist Katy Perry is anxious to start a family with husband, actor Russell Brand - we just didn’t know how anxious!

According to an insider, the star is planning on wrapping her American Dreams world tour in a few short days and then will be taking an “extended hiatus“.

Katy Perry is taking time off to work on her family… She informed her managers that after that, she’ll take a year off to spend time with husband Russell Brand and to start a family.

For some reason, I’m picturing little baby Brand popping out sporting a full, shaggy head of hair, scruffy beard and some sort of raunchy punchline about where he’s been for the last nine months.  I wonder why that is…
