GossipTeen Pick:  Adele should get the nod on this one, but I have a sneaking suspicion that Gaga will be walking away the winner of AOY.

GossipTeen Pick:  SUCH a tough call.  For me, it’s a toss up between Bon Iver’s “Holocene” and Mumford & Sons’ ”The Cave”, but with “Rolling in the Deep’s” huge radio success, Adele  will most likely be the victor for ROY.

Song Of The Year:

GossipTeen Pick:  I’m not overwhelmed by the rock category this year.  If I had to choose, which I do for the sake of this post, I’d go with Jeff Beck’s ”Rock ‘n’ Roll Party Honoring Les Paul”, just because he’s reDICULOUSLY talented – but truthfully, none of the nominees blew me away this go-around.

R&B Album:

GossipTeen Pick: It’s either going to be “Watch the Throne” or “My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy”.  Either way Kanye West comes out a winner, so his ego should be about the size of mainland China by the end of the night.

GossipTeen Pick:  Again, totally underwhelmed by the nominees this year for Country Album of the Year.  The safe pick would be to go with Taylor Swift, but hopefully Lady Antebellum’s “Own the Night” will walk away a winner.

Although Katy Perry and husband Russell Brand have gone very public in recent weeks about wanting to start a family, the pop star swears that she’s not pregnant… yet!

According to an interview with The Insider, Katy insists that she’s not quite ready to give up her party girl ways for motherhood.

I still love drinking alcohol so [I'm] not [pregnant] yet. I like In-N-Out Burger and Taco Bell and if you want to make that pregnant that’s your problem.

Whoa there Katy.  Retract those fangs!  No one’s saying you’re chubbing out – relax and go get yourself a double-double animal style, guilt-free!

As GossipTeen previously reported, pop artist Katy Perry is anxious to start a family with husband, actor Russell Brand - we just didn’t know how anxious!

According to an insider, the star is planning on wrapping her American Dreams world tour in a few short days and then will be taking an “extended hiatus“.

Katy Perry is taking time off to work on her family… She informed her managers that after that, she’ll take a year off to spend time with husband Russell Brand and to start a family.

For some reason, I’m picturing little baby Brand popping out sporting a full, shaggy head of hair, scruffy beard and some sort of raunchy punchline about where he’s been for the last nine months.  I wonder why that is…

Pop star Katy Perry stopped by The Ellen Show yesterday to chat with, well, Ellen, about her Teenaged Dream tour and starting a family with husband Russel Brand.

I would love to have children. I think that’s one of the reasons you get married. Especially to the person that you marry. You think, that person is going to be a good partner, a good parent. But, I’m not sure it’s yet. We’ll see, ya know.

Wow.  I don’t know about you, but the idea of Russel Brand as a father seems a little bit terrifying.  Although, I bet he’d give some pretty rockin’ piggyback rides.

Whenever these two newlyweds do decide to put a bun in the oven, I am going to be chomping at the bit to check out what kind of awesome maternity threads Katy sports!

Rihanna and her flaming red hair take the September issue of Glamour and turn up the volume on the color. Her bright crimson hair contrasting with the bold fuchsia pink typeface make for an unusual attention grabbing cover.

The singer gives the mag her take on style, perfection and drama and how her friendship with Katy Perry:

On style: “Getting dressed, I want to pick the most bizarre pair of shorts so I can figure out how to make it look right, or work an outfit that will make people go, “What the hell is she wearing?”

On hating drama . . . and perfection: “I hate drama. But at the same time, nothing bothers me more than when life’s perfect. And that’s the sick part. I just love a challenge, whether it’s a relationship, my career, clothing . . . ”

On her friendship with Katy Perry: “All my friends are guys, to be completely honest. But when I met her, it was such a breath of fresh air. I just couldn’t believe this chick had no edit button. . . . Katy and Lady Gaga came out of the gate exactly the way they think, the way they wanna dress, the way they wanna speak.”

YES, the California Gurls rendition will include blue wigs, sexy cheerleader uniforms and pyrotechnics… lots of pyrotechnics! What else can a Super Bowl fan ask for!?! Sue Sylvester (Jane Lynch) is the only one who doesn’t seem to be happy with the girls’ performance.

Selena Gomez hit the stage of Madison Square Garden in New York City on Friday to perform at Z100′s Jingle Ball 2010. Gomez was introduced by Flo Rida and she started her performance with “Round and Round.” Gomez and her band The Scene then went to “Rock God” (which she collaborated with Katy Perry on) followed by “A Year Without Rain” and closed out her set with “Naturally.”

Justin Bieber gave a concert at the Palais Chaillot in Paris, France on Tuesday November 30th. The teen singer is overseas still touring for My World 2.0 (see his Madrid, Spain photo call pictures here.) He will return to the U.S. for a concert in NH on December 9th and the Z100 Jingle Ball in NYC with Katy Perry and Selena Gomez on December 10th.

Selena Gomez and the Scene are confirmed for the annual radio station holiday concert, Z100 Jingle Ball at Madison Square Garden in New York City. The event will take place on December 10th with Selena’s Rock God collaborator, Katy Perry and Paramore also making an appearance.

More performers will be announced each week – is that a Justin Bieber silhouette in the far right of the photo? That would be one great addition if it turns out to be JBiebs…

Singer Katy Perry, who just released a new album titled “Teenage Dream”, confessed that she was a very depressed teenager in an interview for the upcoming issue of New Zealand’s Creme Magazine (October 2010).

“When I was younger I would be so emotional about things to the point that if there was a breakup, I would stay in bed for a week and a half,” Katy says. “I was really depressed and nobody could get me out of the house.

“I would want to sleep, sleep, sleep, thinking that maybe that would change the seasons, or somehow change my life. My advice would be to look at the bigger picture and don’t ever invest all of your emotions in a guy – you have to save some for yourself.”

Katy is right. You cannot hide from the world no matter how embarrassed or hurt you might feel. And remember high school does not last forever. You just have to survive those years with some dignity without jeopardizing the bright future in front of you.
