Kayla Ewell and Danielle Panabaker arrived for the Hallmark Channel’s TCA Winter Tour Evening Gala in Pasedena, California on Friday night to promote their upcoming TV movies.

Ewell stars in Randall Reunion Races for the cable channel. The former Vampire Diaries actress will play Alicia Crosby in Races, a fashion designer who meets her boyfriend’s family at their annual ‘Reunion Races.’ At the gathering, family members compete with each other in athletic challenges and she tries to win over his relatives.

Panabaker is starring in The Shunning, based on the 1997 novel by Beverly Lewis. Panabaker is Katie Lapp, a young Amish woman who finds out a family secret that changes her life forever.

Both TV movies are slated for spring 2011.

The Vampire Diaries doesn’t return until March 25th with a new episode but until then, here are a couple of hints about what’s to come in the final few episodes of the season. E!Online’s Watch with Kristen has some dish (get the spoilers by clicking the link below.)

Mae in Atlanta: Please tell me some of the sexy Vampire Diaries stars are hooking up in real-life!
Not so, says Candice Accola (Caroline). “There’s so much heat going on onscreen—we’re all just a family,” Candice tells us with a laugh. “I wish there was some juice or some crazy things going down, but not really. We disgustingly all just get along, and no one’s dating.” So apparently all the drama is happening on the show? Hmph!

The Vampire Diaries still has almost two weeks until new episodes return (January 21st) however, actress Nina Dobrev had something special to celebrate on the 9th – her 21st birthday. Here she is wearing a very cute tiara and pink boa with her former TVD cast member Kayla Ewell at Asa De Cuba in Hollywood.

Earlier in the week, Nobu hosted the 2nd Annual Golden Globes salutes Young Hollywood Party in California. The December 8th event had the super hot cast of the CW show The Vampire Diaries including Katerina Graham, Nina Dobrev, Kayla Ewell and Ian Somerhalder.

The Vampire Diaries premiered this week on the CW Network and now website The Smoking Gun has uncovered the arrest of the young stars of the new series. On August 22nd, actresses Nina Dobrev, Candice Accola, Kayla Ewell and Sara Canning were arrested outside Atlanta, Georgia on charges of disorderly conduct as motorists phoned in reporting the group hanging from Rumble Road Bridge.

According to a Monroe County Sheriff’s Office report, the actresses were being shot by photographer Tyler Shields, whose digital cameras were inspected by a cop who discovered numerous images showing “the females hanging, sitting and straddling the bridge.” One photo, a deputy noted, “even showed one female being held by her legs by the other females, as if they were trying to throw her over.”

The four were arrested along with another actress, Krystal Vayda and photographer Tyler Shields who was taking photos of the group. Whatever photo shoot this was for, it was poor planning on the part of the photog (or maybe it’s genius publicity!) Shields paid the $4000 fine and all were released.

Who watched TVD? I enjoyed it – hopefully they will spend more money on special effects in the next episodes but otherwise it was a pretty good start. Besides, it has Ian Somerhalder in it.
