I guess you can only push a rich, L.A. socialite so far before she pushes back.

After being burned in the media for months following her divorce from NBA star Kris Humphries, 31-year-old Kim Kardashian appears to have had enough of the media trashing her and her family.

The middle Kardashian sister took to her website yesterday, to vent about her frustrations with the “lies” being spread about her and her family and their financial well being.

We face adversity every week and as you all know, we have always tried to take the high road and continue to work hard… But when the media try to manipulate things and write things that are untrue about our business ventures and our shows, it’s time to step in and correct the lies.”

As a family we work extremely hard and we are very proud of what we have achieved, and it’s disappointing to see people try to tear that down… We understand that news organizations have to do their job and report on what they feel their readers want to know about, and we appreciate and respect the ones that actually do their homework and release accurate information.

Rumor has it that Kim’s rant was due to a January 13th New York Post article which insinuated that the Kardashian empire was finally crashing to the ground.

Would that be such a bad thing?

It seems like the recently divorced Kim Kardashian has no intention of letting bygones be bygones in the new year.  The 31-year-old reality star, who announced her new year’s resolution “to [move]forward … and never [look] back,” rang in the new year Saturday night alongside family members at Tao nightclub in Las Vegas, where she rocked a short white minidress and blunt bangs.

Despite being surrounded by friends and family, Kim’s mind seemed to be elsewhere, as she took to her Twitter during the final minutes of 2011 to trash her ex Kris Humphries, writing,

Who else is soooo ready to let go of 2011 and have the best 2012 ever!!!

Passive aggressive much?  No wonder these two couldn’t stay man and wife for more than three months…

Here’s hoping 2012 brings better things for the whole Kardashian klan!

Newly separated socialite Kim Kardashian says that after ending her relationship with NBA star husband Kris Humphries she’s not ready to to find another man just yet and is eager to focus on taking time for herself.

That’s probably a good thing, because I can’t see any guy in his right mind going after a gal who just called it quits after only 72 days of marriage, but then again, I’m not sure the guys who go after the Kardashians are in their right minds.

In an interview with US Magazine the 31-year-old shared her plans for finding herself in the new year.

I’m really thinking that 2011 was a lot of learning lessons… 2012, I’m just excited for the New Year and the new me.

Despite the fact that the reality star says that she “believe[s] in love…always,” she is simply “…not looking,” for a new ex-husband, excuse me, husband, just yet.

After reports surfaced yesterday that NBA star Kris Humphries is seeking an annulment from estranged wife Kim Kardashian, longtime friends have come to his defense claiming that the Net’s forward was morally opposed to divorce from the beginning.

Sources close to Humphries have reported that,

[Kris] has deep-seeded feelings — rooted in religion — against divorce. He’s filed for an annulment because it wipes the slate clean by erasing the marriage.

Fair enough.

Kris’ feelings regarding divorce seem to run so deep that he’s willing to do anything to avoid signing the papers that will end his 72-day marriage.  Apparently, Kris is prepared to ask a judge for an “extended separation” that will extend his marriage indefinitely.  This, of course, would mean that he would not legally be allowed to remarry, but it would save him from the dreaded D-word.

Socialite Kim Kardashian is furious over her soon-to-be ex-husband Kris Humphries’ allegations that she used their 72-day marriage as a ploy to increase her marketability.

According to sources, the 31-year-old is denying Kris’ claims, saying that,

She and her mom are marketing geniuses, so why would she set herself up to be skewered in the media by dumping her husband after only 72 days?

Because it’s free publicity? Because she’s been on the cover of scores of magazines since she dumped her the NBA star?  Because she’s had her name on the lips of every news magazine show host since the split?  Because the Kardashians will stop at nothing to remain in the public eye?

Take your pick.

Sources close to the E! star say that Kim has admitted that if the wedding was truly made for TV, she would have made it “way better, adding,

I’m no dummy.  The divorce would have been just as dramatic and dragged out as the wedding.

Wait, it’s not dramatic and dragged out?  Could’ve fooled me.

NBA star Kris Humphries is seeking an annulment of his 72-day marriage to socialite Kim Kardashian and according to sources, the Nets forward believes, “he was just slotted in the plot line of Kim Kardashian’s latest headline and newest business venture.”

Ya think!?

Apparently, Humphries feels that Kim K never planned to see their marriage through and just used him to boost ratings for her E! reality shows, Keeping Up with the Kardashians and Kourtney and Kim Take New York.  A source close to Humphries even went so far as to say,

Once they were finished taping, she just didn’t need a groom anymore.

I’ll say it again: Ya think!?

Kris is devastated by the ending of his marriage and by the allegations that he was a part of the sham, but a childhood pal of the groom says that there was no way Kris had any inclination that the marriage wasn’t forever when he said “I do.”

He would have never flown in his childhood pastor to marry them and involve his church.

After all the efforts I’ve seen Kris make to attempt and reconcile, I have to believe he’s telling the truth here.  It seems like Kim just threw in the towel from the very beginning.  In the court of public opinion, I say we give the kid a clean slate!

Kim Kardashian boarded a plane bound for Minneapolis-St. Paul early this morning, to meet with estranged husband Kris Humphries.  According to sources, the socialite booked her ticket on a commercial flight last minute because she felt she “owed it to Kris to talk things through with him face-to-face.”

While this meeting is in no way supposed to be a “reconciliation” between the two former lovebirds, Kim and Kris have planned to meet with the pastor who married them to “talk about the marriage, the divorce, and their feelings.”

Hopefully this meeting will bring some much needed closure to this whole escapade.

Kim Kardashian has put the kibosh on filming for her hit E! reality series Keeping Up with the Kardashians until all of the “divorce drama” surrounding the ending of her 72-day marriage with husband Kris Humphries, has run its course.

According to sources, Kim does not want cameras to “exploit the real moments of the divorce” by putting them on TV and will not consider filming again until after the new year.

So now it’s not okay to exploit a divorce for profit, but it is okay to do it to a marriage?

Amidst all the drama surrounding sister Kim Kardashian’s divorce, aspiring model and star of Keeping Up with the Kardashians, Kendall Jenner is celebrating her 16th birthday!

So what do the parents who can afford everything get the daughter who already has it all?

According to mom Kris Jenner, a car!

Every teenager wants a car when they turn 16 because it gives them that sense of freedom… Kendall has to ask to be driven everywhere and her school’s kind of far away from where we live so I think it would be a good thing for Kendall to have some wheels. So it just depends. She’s such a great kid.

After filing for divorce from husband Kris Humphries yesterday, socialite Kim Kardashian headed to LAX to board plane bound for Australia.  Nothing like running away from your problems, eh mate?

The marriage, which banked Humphries and Kardashian a cool $17 mil, only lasted for 72 days and is causing quite a bit of controversy in the pop culture media – and rightly so.  I mean, talk about ruining the sanctity of marriage.

Not that it’s really any of our business, but if I’m going to be forced to watch Kim Kardashian’s “Fairy Tale” wedding every time I turn on E!, I at least want a follow-up series about their lives together a la Khloe and Lamar!

Of course, I kid.  You couldn’t pay me to watch a show starring Mrs. White Bread and her husband Mr. Lamesville.
