Taylor Swift’s Former Manager Files Lawsuit
Written by Violet on October 10, 2010 – 10:44 pm -Taylor Swift is being sued by her former manager Dan Dymtrow and it’s possible she could end up owing millions if a judge sides with the music talent agent. Dymtrow alleges that Swift’s parents, Scott and Andrea, dismissed him after he signed her when she was 14, spent time developing her talent and hooked Taylor up with her current record company Big Machine Records.
“They delayed and delayed [the deal] and got rid of my client and subsequently signed the deal and kept his commissions for themselves,” Dymtrow attorney Fernando Pinguelo said.
Swift’s attorney begs to differ. They say he never obtained the correct legal documents to represent a minor and they fired him months before she signed on with Big Machine Records.
“For him to claim that her success and her major contracts were procured by him is ludicrous,” said Swift’s lawyer, Paul LiCalsi of Mitchell Silberberg & Knupp. “And even if there were some merit to his claims, paying him on the contract would defeat the whole purpose of the law in New York, which is to protect minors who sign contracts.”
This legal fight has been going on since 2007 and the judge has dismissed some of Dymtrow’s claims. With so much money at stake this battle is long from being over.

Written by Violet on August 11, 2009 – 7:08 pm -For an alleged auto accident that happened back in 2006, Zac Efron will have to answer to Katie Porter in Small Claims Court in Beverly Hills, CA. Porter’s suit claims her vehicle was struck from behind by a Checker Cab that Efron had hit and pushed into her car.
The accident occurred in June, 2006. Porter claims she’s out $3,319.76 and here’s how its broken down — $1,200 for repair costs and $400 for a rental car. As for the remaining damages, Katie’s dad is also a plaintiff and lives in Oklahoma. He’s suing for plane and motel costs for making the trek to small claims court.
Katie’s mom told TMZ.com that the insurance companies of Efron and the cab company could not agree on who should pay the damages and that is why her daughter hasn’t recovered her monetary losses 3 years later.

Jamie Lynn Spears Decoy Is Fighting Mad
Written by Violet on January 6, 2009 – 10:57 pm -
Adessa Eskeridge is used to going about her business with no one paying attention, however when she got off a plane at Los Angeles International airport, she was used as a decoy for Jamie Lynn Spears to distract the paparazzi, without her consent. According to Eskeridge, she was not told the specifics of what airport security wanted her to do – she just followed their directions as a good citizen, not realizing the “pushing shoving and possible humilation…” she was about to endure. Her attorney, RJ Molligan states that Eskeridge was:
“never informed that upon deplaning, she would be mobbed by the paparazzi, that she would be in fear of her well-being, that her picture would be taken and that video of her would be all over the internet.”
And lastly, the woman says she has “suffered and continues to suffer great humiliation” as a result of that day.
Her attorney is asking for a $2 million dollar payout for Adessa’s troubles. That would be a lot of money for a short walk amongst the photographers…
