Going for a dramatic turn, Miranda Cosgrove gets to play an out-of-control pop star in an episode of the legal drama The Good Wife on CBS. Miranda’s character Sloan, gets arrested and needs Alicia (Julianna Marguiles) to get her out of legal hot water. Here are new photos of Miranda on set as the teenager who hits a telephone pole after a night of drinking and gets slapped with a charge of attempted murder.

Hollywood business arrangements are often complicated and messyand now Disney starlet Vanessa Hudgens is embroiled in a lawsuit with a former producer who she feels is misrepresenting his status with her. Producer Johnny Veira had orignally sued the High School Musical  star however that suit was settled on April 29th, 2009. Hudgens legal action contends:

[...] false advertising and appropriation of name and likeness, by using photographs of Hudgens on his company MySpace page, ones that suggest she’s an active client.  Viera is also accused of violating their prior settlement agreement.

He’s also banned from “falsely holding himself out to the public as someone with whom Hudgens is currently signed.”

Injunctions, damages, and other serious monetary penalties are being asked for as compensation for Hudgens. We will keep you updated as we find out more.

Is ‘Hannah Montana‘ star Miley Cyrus really taking the big legal step and getting herself emancipated from her parents, Billy Ray and Tish Cyrus? Rumors had been running around the internet for a long while, but according to Janet Charlton’s Hollywood site, the announcement will be made next week.

“Has Miley been so swept away by her twenty year old boyfriend Justin Gaston that she wants to move in with him, or what?”

I have to say I hope this isn’t true. High profile Disney stars do not always do well on their own and Miley’s parents seem very protective of her and do not see her as a walking paycheck.
