After being granted a leave of absence from performing community service at the LA Coroner’s Office to shoot a spread in Playboy Magazine, Lindsay Lohan is finally back at work and has apparently hit the ground running!

According to sources, LiLo has already finished 10 of the 12 shifts she’s required to complete before December 14th and is trying to get a jump on the hours she must finish prior to her second status hearing.

I know, I’m as shocked as you are.

Insiders report that not only is Lindsay showing up, but she’s actually doing a good job.

Whaaaaaat!?

LA law enforcement says that she’s been “polite, hard-working and never complains about the work,” which is a lot more than they could’ve said about her a few short months ago, when she couldn’t even find the entrance to the joint.

Glad to see that our girl is making some steps in the right direction!

Can things get any worse for Lindsay Lohan?  First her probation is revoked, then she’s told that none of her hours working for the American Red Cross count towards her mandated community services hours and now she can’t even have cupcakes on the job!?

What’s next!?

According to sources, a delivery man from L.A’s Magnolia Bakery showed up at the L.A. County Coroner’s Office with 36 cupcakes for Lindsay and her “friends” at the morgue.  The cupcakes were promptly turned away by Assistant Chief Coroner Ed Winter who said of the delivery, “It’s unacceptable. We’re not here to accept food,” and added that there are not 36 parolees in Ms. Lohan’s program and that some of the goodies must have been meant for the coroner’s staff.

Sounds like someone is trying to butter up her bosses…

Lindsay denies ordering the cupcakes, but we all know how good she is about telling the truth.
