X Factor judge Demi Lovato and gossip columnist Perez Hilton are in a drop down, drag out Twitter war over the media’s handling of Lindsay Lohan’s recent arrest.

After news of LiLo’s run in with the law went public, Demi took to her Twitter account to voice her disgust with the media circus surrounding the arrest.

I really wish we could go back in time when artists were known for their work. Not their personal lives.

And when was that again Demi?  The middle ages?  Yeah, no – artists’ private lives weren’t even private way back then.  If you want out of the spotlight, you’re going to have to move out of L.A.

Celebrity blogger Perez Hilton appears to agree with us, because he sounded fired off this Tweet:

@ddlovato Do you really think @LindsayLohan wants the media to not write about her? She needs attention and creates drama to get it. #Truth

To which Demi responded,

@PerezHilton The media (not just you) don’t realize when you need to stop. This isn’t a headline for your readers. This is someone’s life.

Perez fired back:

@ddlovato The media (me) is not harming Lindsay. She is doing that to herself. She needs to take #accountability before she will get better.

And the 20-year-old former Disney star got the last word when she Tweeted:

@PerezHilton hey how about you just leave her alone? Instead of kicking someone while they’re down?

Wow.  We see your point Demi, but then again… we see your side too Perez!  But no matter who is “right”, hopefully we can all agree that we want Lindsay to get better!

After being arrested Wednesday night for allegedly punching a woman in the face, Lindsay Lohan is attempting to avoid some serious jail time by heading to rehab for up to six months.

Sounds like a good plan LiLo.  We think you could really benefit from some serious R&R far, far away from the bright lights of Hollywood.

According to sources,

Lindsay’s manager and agent have been telling her for months that she must go to rehab to save her life… Until now she has resisted, but after her arrest this morning she realizes she needs help.

It’s very likely that Lindsay won’t fight the probation violation charges and throw herself at the mercy of the court and hopes to avoid jail time by going to rehab for at least six months.

The sources also added that the Liz & Dick star could face up to 237 days behind bars due to her string of parole violations, however the actress serving that entire length of time is pretty unlikely.

Because of jail overcrowding in Los Angeles though she would only serve 25 percent of that time… The City Attorney will ask the judge to max Lindsay out and send her to jail.

We think that the best course of action would be for Lindsay to spend the next six months in a rehab facility and hopefully get herself back on track.

After her latest movie (and we are using the word “movie” very loosely here) Liz & Dick was panned by viewers and critics alike, troubled starlet Lindsay Lohan is looking to do anything to revitalize her career.  And we do mean anything.

Even make the transition to – gasp - television!

According to sources, after a string of run-ins with the law and failed film projects, the 24-year-old redhead is looking to get her own TV sitcom to help win back fans,

Lindsay has asked her manager and agent to look into getting her own television sitcom… Lindsay feels that the small screen would be a great way for her to revitalize her acting career and that a comedy would be the best bet.

Lindsay feels most comfortable doing comedy and it was Charlie Sheen that told her she should do it. Charlie told Lindsay that it was an easy way to make very good money and help her to get her movie career back on track.

She is loving the idea of having her own sitcom and would love to play someone in a story based on her crazy life.

We’re happy to see that Lindsay appears to want to sing for her supper and not just hire a crew of reality show cameras to follow her around a la the Kardashian crew.  Who knows, maybe a sitcom is exactly what LiLo needs to get her life back on track!

Police were summoned to Lindsay Lohan’s Hollywood home yesterday afternoon when her father, Michael Lohan, attempted to stage an intervention.

According to reports, the 25-year-old actress did not show up to post-production work on her new film The Canyons, leading her father to assume that she had fallen off the wagon again.  Apparently, when Michael showed up at Lilo’s house, a man claiming to be his daughter’s BF, told him to leave the property and the police were called.

A source close to the family revealed,

Lindsay doesn’t want her dad anywhere near her right now… And Michael’s always trying to put himself in the middle of whatever is going on in her life. He’s been worried about her ever since the fight she had with Dina last week.

Something tell us that if someone is going to get through to Lindsay, it’s not going to be her rehab dropout of a father…

In the wake of last night’s Vice Presidential debate between current VP Joe Biden and Congressman Paul Ryan, Hollywood bad girl Lindsay Lohan has officially announced her endorsement of 2012 presidential candidate Mitt Romney.

I just think employment is really important right now… It’s a long story.

We’re with ya on that issue LiLo!

Only trouble is, the 26-year-old won’t be able to vote for the Republican candidate, as she is not registered to vote.

Oh come ON, Lindsay!  You have time to get in multiple car accidents and party until all hours of the night, but you don’t have time to fill out your voter registration card?  Give us a break!

While the Liz & Dick star did take the time to vote in the 2008 election, she has since moved from her primary residence and officials from the Los Angeles Country Voter Registration office say that forms mailed to that address were returned and no forwarding address was provided.

Lindsay has until October 22nd to submit her forms to be allowed to vote in this year’s Presidential election.  Clock’s ticking Linds!

Is it still cool to say, “DUH!”?

Friends of Hollywood bad girl Lindsay Lohan are claiming that the 26-year-old should not be held accountable for her actions.  Specifically for accusing Christian LaBella of assaulting her at the W Hotel.

According to LiLo’s pal Claus Hjelmbak,

It’s not because of health issues. She’s not in a good place, because people around her keep throwing her under the bus. Lindsay is a sweet girl and is very open and nice when people come over and talk. In this case, she thought it was somebody her friends know.

Hjelmbek is of course, referring to the fact that LaBella shocked Lindsay by taking photos of her with his cell phone during a private party, which understandably upset the Liz & Dick star.

She was visibly shaken already at that point. She was shocked. At that moment, you feel betrayed when you are in a private space and you realize someone has documented the entire night on the phone. Look at her art. And stop focusing so much on her private life. That would be a big help to her getting back to a really good place.

Good point.  However, maybe if Lindsay took a step back from the L.A. party scene for just a few minutes, there wouldn’t be anything to “document” – if you catch our drift!

Either way, this LaBella character is a boob and should have his cell phone privileges revoked!

After her numerous run-ins with the law of late, former Nickelodeon sweetheart Amanda Bynes is choosing her company a little more carefully.  According to insiders, the 26-year-old actress did her best to stay away from fellow cop-magnet Lindsay Lohan during a recent trip to New York City.

Amanda had contemplated staying at the Dream Hotel, but when she was told that Lindsay had been hanging out there, and it had been the scene of her most recent arrest, she crossed it off her list and is instead staying with some friends…

Apparently, Bynes was pretty upset by a Tweet Lilo posted regarding her recent arrests, which read:

Why did I get put in jail and a nickelodeon star has had NO punishment(s) so far? +

These are the moments that I appreciate my life experiences, living without regrets and Disney for supporting me as an actress-night all*

Um, Lindsay?  You got put in jail because you are an absolute train wreck and we’re sure Amanda won’t be far behind if she keeps up with these kind of antics.  Wow, how old did we just sound there… 83, 84?

For her part, Bynes says that her missteps are a far cry from Lindsay’s patterns of erratic behavior.  A source close to the star revealed,

Amanda knows the press would go into a feeding frenzy if she and Lindsay were in the same place, so she is calling ahead to restaurants and stores to make sure that Lindsay isn’t there… Amanda just wants nothing to do with Lindsay and doesn’t know why she was commenting on her legal troubles when Lindsay is no saint herself.

Sources confirm that Amanda plans to relocate to the Big Apple permanently, to begin a full-time career as a fashion designer and we wish her the best of luck.  Just try and steer clear of smoking joints in Mexican restaurant parking lots – we hear the NYPD frown on that…

Consummate Hollywood troublemaker Lindsay Lohan was rushed to the hospital last night with what sources are claiming was a lung infection.  Apparently, the Liz & Dick star has been suffering from a case of walking pneumonia, which insiders say is most likely the cause of the infection.

But while this over-blown case of the sniffles has landed LiLo in a hospital bed, it hasn’t seemed to slow down her partying ways.  The 26-year-old actress was seen getting after it at several L.A. nightclubs over the past week and has apparently let her social life get in the way of yet another movie role.

Sources from the set of Scary Movie 5 are saying that Lindsay’s out of control antics have her costars worried about her dedication to the project.

Lindsay missed every meeting she had for the film, including script reads and wardrobe meetings… Then she missed her flight to Atlanta on Sunday to shoot the movie. The producers had been getting signs Friday that she was a mess, and would not be fit to work.

If you’re being called “not fit to work” on Scary Movie 5 - well, there’s just no coming back from that.

Oh Lindsay, Lindsay, Lindsay – when will you ever learn?

During a birthday bash at Bootsy Bellows, for E! star Francesca Eastwood, 26-year-old starlet Lindsay Lohan apparently caused quite a scene by bum-rushing the very unsuspecting birthday girl.

According to reports, upon hearing of the birthday celebration, LiLo rushed back to the private area where Francesca was celebrating with a small group of friends (including her photographer BF Tyler Shields) and shouted,

I’m a star, she’s a nobody, get her out of here!

Nice Lindsay, real nice.  It was her birthday for goodness sake – give the girl a break!

Tyler Shields released the following statement to E! News regarding the incident:

We were celebrating my girlfriend Francesca’s birthday at Bootsy Bellows, and it was a blast… Suddenly, there was a burst of chaos, and as quickly as it started, it was over. After the fact, we were all a bit confused about what just happened.

Francesca added:

I’m not sure what exactly sparked Lindsay’s outburst… Regardless, I still had an amazing birthday and Parent Trap is still my favorite movie.

Oh my gosh – LOVE that.  Let’s get together Yeah Yeah Yeah!  Think of all that we could share!

In a business sense!  Jeez, you guys!  Get your heads out of the gutter!

According to reports, since having their little “sleepover” at the Chateau Marmont last month Lady Gaga and Lindsay Lohan have been in talks to start up a friendly little business arrangement.

Lady Gaga and Lindsay caused a stir last month when they had their ‘sleepover’ at the Chateau [Marmont] and now it turns out that Lindsay will be starring in Gaga’s new video from her upcoming album.

This is a pretty big deal for the former freckle-faced darling, as those in-the-know are speculating that the video for Gaga’s upcoming album “ARTPOP” will be one of the biggest roles of LiLo’s career!

Celebs are so funny – why can’t they just be like the rest of us and get some BFF necklaces and call it a day?
