Justin Bieber Book Signing In NYC

Written by Violet on November 27, 2010 – 1:21 pm -

Justin Bieber had a glorious day off on Thanksgiving – but only one day of rest for the busy multi-media tycoon. Bieber had a book signing scheduled on Black Friday (November 26th) at Barnes and Noble in New York City and as you can guess, it was jam packed with throngs of kids waiting to see their idol.

The 16 year-old superstar was so appreciative of the sheer number of fans that came out to support him that he decided to stay longer and let 1,000 extra kids come in and get a copy of Justin Bieber First Steps 2 Forever: My Story signed by him.

Justin is always awesome to his fans!

‘Glee’ Clothing Line: Heading To A Locker Near You

Written by Violet on March 4, 2010 – 7:38 pm -

Inspired by Fox’s hit show Glee, creator Ryan Murphy is working to get gleeked out clothing to a store near you just in time for back to school. Hoodies, bags, tees and more will certainly be on the fashionable menu – hopefully minus the slushie facials.

What do you say? Would you buy something inspired by Rachel, Finn, Mercedes or Kurt? What would you like to see made?

Taylor Swift Designs Greeting Cards

Written by Violet on February 4, 2010 – 5:59 pm -

After dominating the music world in 2009, Taylor Swift is branching out in a decidedly unconventional way – by launching a greeting card line with American Greetings. Swift, who recently won four Grammy Awards, is heading for new venues in 2010 and the quirky-cute line of cards is just the beginning.

Says Swift: “My idea of a great song is a song that says how I feel better than I could,” she says. “I feel the same way about greeting cards. I’ve always been fascinated by feelings and how we express them to each other. Getting to write and design these cards is a wonderful experience.”

Check out a preview of her upcoming cards here and tell us what you think of them.

Ava Anderson: Teen Launches Skincare Company

Written by Violet on January 29, 2010 – 8:42 am -

It isn’t often that you find a fifteen year-old as CEO of their own company but Ava Anderson is the exception. The high school-er has launched her own skincare line after finding out that many brands labelled as ‘natural’ were anything but.

After becoming a toxic ingredient junkie and sweeping the cosmetic aisles for pure choices – not to mention Mom and Grandma’s makeup bags – frustration led the precocious blonde to invent her own products that passed all non-toxic standards.

“Through a family friend, we found a manufacturer with research facilities that could develop and produce products to my standards. It was a great challenge to develop these revolutionary formulas and I had to reject many proposed formulations,” says Anderson.

The non-toxic beauty line, called simply Ava Anderson, is available online at her website or you can start your own Ava business, selling her line and making some cash for yourself. Check out this if you are interested in sharing the non-toxic message.

Fashion Future For Rihanna

Written by Violet on January 3, 2010 – 6:38 pm -

Rihanna, who works couture fashion like no other, is contemplating a more hands on fashionable future; possible designer. The Rated R songbird is open to possibilities and fashion is just one front.

“I’ve taken some acting lessons so hopefully one day I will have time to do something like that. There is so much I want to do, something in fashion as well. I just want to keep getting better.”

Rihanna turned heads at the Paris Spring/Summer 2010 runway shows this past October.

A clothing line launched by Rihanna would be fantastic.

“It’s really lighthearted, fun and stylish,” says Ashley.

Taylor Swift Designs For Marks & Spencer – Maybe Not

Written by Violet on October 7, 2009 – 9:59 pm -

Country singing sensation Taylor Swift was recently quoted as saying she would be designing a line of clothing for British retailer Marks & Spencer. Swift told SplashNews via MSN:

“Yeah, I’m coming out with dresses that are inspired by the sundresses I wear.”If I was going to put out dresses, I wanted them to be affordable, especially with the economy doing what it’s doing, so I’m really excited that we’ve accomplished that.”

However, the powers that be at M & S seem to be unaware of the possible partnership. Company reps told SplashNews the following:

“M&S currently have no plans to collaborate with Taylor Swift on a range of summer dresses as misreported in a recent interview. We always look to bring the most exciting and innovative ranges to suit our customers and such collaborations may be something we look to do in the future.”

Well, which is it? Perhaps Taylor just got ahead of herself or the deal fell through – whichever, for now it seems no clothing line coming from her, other than her L.E.I. sundresses.
