53-year-old pop superstar Madonna took to the stage at Lucas Oil Staduim last night to perform the halftime show at Super Bowl XLVI along with special guests L.M.F.A.O, M.I.A., C.E.E.L.O and N.I.C.K.I M.I.N.A.J.

Oh, you mean that’s not how everyone is required to spell their names now?  Our bad.

Madonna looked “good”.  She looked as good as any 53-year-old woman who does Pilates eight times a week and plumps her face with fillers can look – and we must concede that we caught ourselves toe tapping at least once or twice during the 12-minute medley of hits that included “Vogue,” “Like a Prayer” and “Music.”

All in all, we gave this Super Bowl halftime show a B.  We miss the days of over-the-top, mashup, poptastic performances like this one…

New products are coming for the successful fashion line Material Girl, by Madonna and daughter Lourdes Leon.

Starting with intimates and sleepwear this month, Macy’s will add outerwear, party dresses and more denim options in the coming weeks.

Be on the lookout for bras, bustiers, sweatpants and boxer shorts hitting shelves first.

Beginning in August the beauty and make up starts to roll in. Nail polishes and lip glosses, body sprays and lotions arrive by August 15th and eye shadow palettes are available by September 15th.

Lourdes got the enviable job of choosing names for the beauty products.

”It was so much fun getting to pick all of my favorite scents for the Material Girl body products and lip glosses,” she told WWD. “The body products have fun names like Wicked Watermelon, Flirty Fruit, Midnight Magnolia and Sinful Sugar. I chose scents that I loved.”

The new clothing and beauty products are aimed at teens and young women, expanding the line from tweens to a little older customer as well.

Justin Bieber fans will have to wait if they want to see Glee tackle more than one JB song.

The rumor circulating around the net had the hit FOX show tackling a tribute episode, similiar to the Madonna and Britney Spears themed shows but it’s simply not true.

However it’s not all bad for Bieber fans. The teen pop star will get a nod in the February episode called “Comeback.” Show creator Ryan Murphy says:

“Bieber comes up in episode 13 as a small plot point. Sam (Chord Overstreet) sings a JB song to win Quinn’s (Dianna Agron) approval.” (and yes, I fixed the misspelling of Dianna’s last name.)

No word if there is a Selena Gomez song in that same show. Now that would be funny.

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1 premiered in New York City on Monday November 15th at Alice Tully Hall and Lourdes Leon hit the black carpet for the event.

The 14 year-old daughter of Madonna was casual cool in a blue dress with a skull print scarf and union jack clutch. The teenager is currently in the drama program at LaGuardia High School of Performing Arts and works with her famous mom on the line of juniors clothing, Material Girl, sold at Macy’s. Gossip Girl star Taylor Momsen and her band The Pretty Reckless performed one of the songs, “Zombie”, off their debut album entitled “Light Me Up”, during the launch of the Material Girl collection at Macy’s Herald Square in NYC, NY last week (watch video below). Taylor Momsen is the face of Material Girl, the new juniors line of clothing debuting at Macy’s this August.

The clothing line developed by Madonna and her daughter, Lourdes Leon, is a family affair even when it comes to advertising pics as the OG Material Girl took to the lens herself to shoot Momsen for the new ad campaign. Madonna’s 13 year-old daughter, Lourdes Maria Ciccone Leon aka Lola, landed her first magazine cover. The beautiful young fashionista graces the cover of June 2010 issue of Quality Magazine.

Yeah, we have never heard of that magazine before either. And Lourdes most probably did not pose for the unknown mag, but to be considered for the cover at such a tender age is quite an accomplishment.

Lourdes Leon accompanied her mother, Madonna in New York City to the 2nd Annual Bent on Learning Benefit. The event was sponsored by chic designers Alice + Olivia and had a performance by Ghost of the Saber Toothed Tiger (Sean Lennon and Charlotte Kemp Muhl’s band.)

Bent on Learning is an organization that provides yoga and meditation instruction to children in grades K – 12 to help with concentration, self esteem and overall health in New York City.

Lourdes really has a great sense of style. Love her look.
