Katerina Graham: 2011 Young Hollywood Awards
Written by Violet on May 21, 2011 – 7:39 pm -Katerina Graham popped up on the red carpet of the 13th Annual Young Hollywood Awards presented by Bing at Club Nokia in Los Angeles on Friday, May 20th.
The Vampire Diaries actress wore a red and blue color-blocked bustier top with a black leather skirt. She always looks fabulous at events and is one of my personal favorites because she has a distinct style – she dresses for herself and no one else.
Kat was asked about working with Justin Bieber when she was a back-up dancer in one of his videos and what he taught her.
“I’ve met him a couple times. He’s a great guy, great kid,” she told HollywoodLife . “I was in the room while he was blow drying his hair and it really showed me how to blow dry your hair the right way to get just that perfect swoop. That’s the only thing he’s taught me as of yet. Who knows what’s in store!”
Graham, 21, presented the Pretty Little Liars cast with the Cast To Watch award.
Catch the show on Thursday, May 26th on ION.
More Katerina pictures below and one of her TVD costar (again!) Malese Jow from the event. Read more »

Malese Jow: Could She Be Katniss In ‘The Hunger Games’ Movie?
Written by Violet on October 29, 2010 – 8:27 pm -The Hunger Games trilogy of books is finally getting it’s due and is going to be on the big screen in 2012. The lead role of Katniss Everdeen is highly sought after for any up and coming actress and is totally up for grabs.
Online sites have circulated the news that actresses Chloe Moretz of Let Me In, her Kick-Ass costar Lyndsy Fonseca (now on the CW’s Nikita) and Skins star Kaya Scodelario have been sent the script but another name is being tossed around: Malese Jow. The Vampire Diaries actress has gained quite a following since her character’s untimely death at the end of season 1 on the TV show as the beloved vampire Anna. Jow is a huge fan of the books and wants in on the casting. MTV’s Hollywood Crush caught up with Jow and asked Malese for her take on the role:
Why do you think you would be good for the part of Katniss?
I’m going to sound like I’m tooting my own horn! Looks-wise, I think I’m good for it. When people first meet me, they’re always like, ‘What are you?’ as far as ethnicity. And I’ve been pegged as ‘ethnically ambiguous.’ I think the years the “Hunger Games” takes place, everyone is going be ethnically ambiguous. Everyone is going to have some exotic flavor to them. Slap some gray contacts on me, and I’m good to go.As far as portraying Katniss and her strength, I feel like with “Vampire Diaries,” I got a lot of experience dabbling in that, and proving to people that I could pull that off. And I’ve grown so much since then. So I can only imagine what I could do if I was presented with the role of Katniss. I would do my absolute best. I would give it 2,000 percent for everyone. I know there are some die-hard fans out there.
Do you visit the fan sites?
I don’t have to go out and look for it. On Twitter and stuff, people have petitions going on that I see by default—things that are sent to me saying, ‘Oh my gosh! I want you as Katniss.’ The fan support for that is great. I feel like, online, I’m a pretty strong contender as far as who the fans want as Katniss, which is very encouraging. I think when it comes to something like this, a book series being turned into a movie, I think the people behind it should look to the fans and who they want. They’re the ones who’ve read it. They know Katniss; they know her personally. And for them to have favorites, that should definitely be considered.
I have to say, as a fan of the books (Suzanne Collins is fantastic!) this could be great. While I like Moretz as an actress, I just don’t see her as Katniss (Prim, perhaps – although I’m partial to Elle Fanning taking that part) and Fonseca is just too old to play 17. Scodelario has been a fan favorite for a long time, but I really like the idea of Malese taking on the Capitol and President Snow.
What do you think? Is Malese a good fit for the girl who outsmarts the political establishment? Who do you want for Katniss? Sound off below!

‘The Vampire Diaries’ Season 2 Scoop
Written by Violet on May 30, 2010 – 10:49 pm -The Vampire Diaries went out with a bang this season. Fingers and superpowered rings went flying, more burning vampires, the sad end of Anna (Malese Jow) and that kiss between Damon (Ian Somerhalder) and (Nina Dobrev’s) Elena, err Katherine… How does the show top all of that for season 2?
Executive producer Julie Plec gives up some serious sophmore year scoopage: Elena and Katherine (related? check!) Stefan (Paul Wesley) and Matt (Zach Roerig) forge a friendship and the werewolves are coming! the werewolves are coming!
Plec says writer Kevin Williamson is working on getting all our favorite characters more involved in the overall mythology of the show: Tyler Lockwood (Michael Trevino) and Jeremy (Steven R McQueen) will get more screen time – Yes!
I want to know – is there a Bonnie (Katerina Graham) and Damon romance in this season? I can wait for season 3, if I must, but I am totally on Team Bamon.
What do you want to have happen for season 2?
Check out more pics below of Ian, Nina and Paul when they were in New York City promoting TVD.

The Vampire Diaries Recap: Episode 12 ‘Unpleasantville’
Written by Violet on January 29, 2010 – 10:56 am -After watching The Vampire Diaries ‘Unpleasantville’ last night, I realized that Mystic Falls is the US headquarters of ‘Vampires-R-Us’ and there is some kind of super villain convention going on for the Free Katherine society – let’s make t-shirts! Here is a recap the fifties decade dance of death episode
Jeremy (Steven R. McQueen) is getting stalked by Anna (Malese Jow) who also happens to be a vampire. Poor Jeremy. She only wants him for one thing: the Gilbert family diary which contains the answers to releasing Katherine from her tomb prison. Fortunately, Jeremy gave the old journal with written instructions (why would you write that down??) to his history teacher (and vampire hunter/hater) Alaric Saltzman (Matthew Davis.)

‘The Vampire Diaries’ Grabs Two New Humans
Written by Violet on November 10, 2009 – 1:09 am -If you haven’t started watching The Vampire Diaries, what are you waiting for? The CW Network has a juicy hit on their hands and has extended the show another 9 episodes for the year. With all the deaths of the peripheral characters, there has to be an injection of fresh blood (pun intended!) for the thirsty Damon (played so deliciously by Ian Somerhalder) to snack on.
Enter Sean Faris and Malese Jow as new additions to the cast.
EW.com is reporting Faris will be a buddy of Matt’s (Zach Roerig) who will bartend at the only place in town where everyone goes, Mystic Grill. A possible romance/hook-up could be in the future for Faris’s character Ben. Sean also starred with another former vampire, Cam Gigandet, in the flick Never Back Down.
TVGuide.com says Jeremy (Stephen R. McQueen) will get a gorgeous friend in newcomer Malese Jow. Jow will play Anna and give Jeremy some friendship, comfort and perhaps something more. The pair are expected to uncover a mystery. Jow is no stranger to TV with roles in Unfabulous with Emma Roberts, Hannah Montana with Miley Cyrus and iCarly with Miranda Cosgrove.
Love love love The Vampire Diaries.
