NYC Mayor Welcomes ‘Glee’ Cast To The Big Apple
Written by Violet on April 25, 2011 – 11:11 pm -New York City is in full Glee-mania.
The cast of the hit TV show are filming the finale (the New Directions group is headed to Nationals) on the East Coast and Mayor Bloomberg took time out to welcome them at a press conference held at the Gershwin Theater.
Joking with the cast, the Big Apple Mayor said “Mayors don’t get a lot of time to watch television, so I don’t know much about this season’s plot but actually it would be great to see what happens with Finn and Rachel.”
“We’ve been filming ‘Glee’ in Los Angeles for two years. We’ve never met the mayor there,” said executive producer Dante Di Loreto.
The show is filming the season two episode (to air May 24th) and they will be around until the 29th. They are scheduled to shoot scenes at some of the major landmarks, including Lincoln Center, Times Square and Central Park.
So far, most of the cast has been spotted, papped and twitterazzi’d all around the city.
Cory Monteith, Chord Overstreet, Chris Colfer, Lea Michele, Dianna Agron, Jenna Ushkowitz, Heather Morris, Mark Salling and lots more of the cast are pictured below.
Photos of the conference plus their first day of shooting are below. Read more »

Katerina Graham Is Enchanting At LA Gay & Lesbian Center Gala
Written by Violet on November 14, 2010 – 8:53 pm -Katerina Graham was on hand to honor Glee’s Jane Lynch at the LA Gay and Lesbian Center’s 39th Anniversary Gala held at the Hyatt Regency Plaza Hotel in West Hollywood, California on Saturday November 13th. The “Cold Hearted Snake” singer was dressed in a one shoulder icy blue lace dress that was gorgeous on her. Other stars on hand, Glee guys Matthew Morrison and Ryan Murphy, Kathy Griffin and Perez Hilton.
Graham’s storyline on The Vampire Diaries is starting to kick in and it’s shaping up to be a very interesting arc for her witch character, Bonnie Bennett. Not only is Bonnie getting flirty with Jeremy (Steven R McQueen) she now has another guy checking her out. Luka, (Bryton James) a fellow spellcaster, could be trouble for Miss Bennett. We also found out in the “Katerina” episode (named after vampire Katherine) that Bonnie, Caroline (Candice Accola) and Tyler (Michael Trevino) are integral parts of the doppleganger storyline involving Elena (Nina Dobrev). I won’t give it away in case you haven’t seen the episode yet – check it out when they upload it on CWTV sometime this week.

Chord Overstreet At Lotus Car Launch
Written by Violet on November 14, 2010 – 1:38 pm -Chord Overstreet attended the Lotus Car Launch at a private residence in Beverly Hills on Friday, November 12th. The actor got to hang with Demi Moore, Alec Baldwin and Olivia Munn as the celebs got to peek at the new offerings from the famous British car brand.
Overstreet and the rest of his Glee cast mates will get mini-me versions of themselves in the Tuesday November 16th episode “The Substitute.” Gwyneth Paltrow guest stars as Mr. Schuester (Matthew Morrison) gets ill and hallucinates the child alter egos of his teen show choir team. Check out the great photo and behind the scenes video of that here.

‘Glee’ Cast Gets Mini-Me/Kid Versions For “The Substitute”
Written by Violet on November 12, 2010 – 9:01 pm -Tuesday’s episode of Glee promises to have some fantastic moments, but none quite as charming as witnessing the New Directions gang in Kid Form.
Not only will “The Substitute” have more fantastic Darren Criss; Gwyneth Paltrow guests and sings a sanitized version of Cee-Lo’s “F*** You” song (it has been changed to “Forget You”) – we will also see Mercedes (Amber Riley) Brittany (Heather Morris) Santana (Naya Rivera) Rachel (Lea Michele) Finn (Cory Monteith) Puck (Mark Salling) Tina (Jenna Ushkowitz) Sam (Chord Overstreet) Quinn (Dianna Agron) Kurt (Chris Colfer) Artie (Kevin McHale) and Mike (Harry Shum Jr.) all as children as Mr. Schuester (Matthew Morrison) is very ill and hallucinates the show choir team as adolescent versions of their current selves.
Check out the video below to see the kids interacting with the cast and crew and how they really have their alter egos onscreen personalities down. (Little Mercedes was so cute and wait till you see the little charmer that plays kid-Puck! A mighty mini mohawk and attitude. Awesome!)
Catch this episode on Fox, Tuesday November 16th at 8pm ET.

‘Glee’ Tribute To ‘The Rocky Horror Picture Show’ Sneak Peek PHOTOS
Written by Violet on October 12, 2010 – 6:45 pm -Glee is getting into the Halloween spirit for the October 26th episode. A tribute to the cult classic The Rocky Horror Picture Show is the theme of the evening. Fox has released the first photos of the stars in costume and which Rocky original role they are reprising.
- Kurt (Chris Colfer) will be Riff Raff
- Finn (Cory Monteith) as Brad
- Sam (Chord Overstreet) as Rocky
- Quinn and Santana (Dianna Agron and Naya Rivera) will both be Magenta
- Dr. Carl (John Stamos) will play Eddie
- Rachel (Lea Michele) as Janet
- Mercedes (Amber Riley) will be Frank-N-Furter
This looks like it could be such a fun episode but I hope the theme shows are over after this one. It is such a better dynamic when the songs truly fit the character arc happening, instead of the writers attempting to shoehorn a story around an artist (the Britney Spears full length video episode for example.)
Check out the early peek at some of those characters in make-up below.

Top 10 Teen TV Shows Of 2009
Written by Violet on December 31, 2009 – 5:12 pm -The end of 2009 is here today so let’s take a look back at the best TV shows aimed at and about teenagers. Some are more realistic than others and some are just downright guilty pleasures, but here are the Top 10 of 2009.
10. Gossip Girl - CW
Based on the books by Cecily von Ziegesar, the series about spoiled NYC teens on the Upper East Side was launched in 2007 and has been a favorite ever since. While ratings have slipped this year, it is still talked about. The cast (Leighton Meester, Blake Lively, Chace Crawford, Taylor Momsen, Jessica Szohr, Ed Westwick, Penn Badgley) is super hot and garners lots of press. Hopefully the storylines will pick up and get it back on track.

9. Make It Or Break It – ABC Family
Chelsea Hobbs, Josie Loren, Ayla Kell and Cassie Scerbo are the gymnastic Olympic hopefuls at “The Rock” in Boulder Colorado, training for their shot at the big time. ABC Family’s hit show (scoring their second best premiere) gives athletic teen girls a chance to see and strive for something more than boys and clothes.

8. True Jackson, VP - Nickelodeon
Keke Palmer is terrific as the Vice President of a teen clothing line and her navigation in the world of business and all the normal drama that comes from being a teenager. Palmer is funny, charming and talented. Her costars Ashley Argota and Matt Shively play off her well and the premiere set lots of ratings records for the network.
