Taylor Lautner has been attached to LOTS of projects lately: Northern Lights, Cancun, Max Steel, Stretch Armstrong, Abduction and of course The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn. What he would or wouldn’t actually film, has been a matter of speculation for months. EW.com is reporting that Lautner has dropped out of Max in favor of Stretch and if the studio gets a director soon, he will film the hot hot hot Abduction before Breaking Dawn.

[...]the studio is frantically searching for a hot, young director to helm this action-adventure that reads like a teenage Bourne Identity. If, however, Lionsgate can’t secure the director in time, Lautner will remain a producer on the film and they will have to find another hot, young thing to star. Interestingly, Northern Lights, the movie that first propelled Lautner’s asking price up to $7.5 million and therefore stalled negotiations on Abduction, is definitely moving forward without the teen star.

What a convoluted mess – after all his hype (and it sure looks like it was ONLY hype!) Lautner will only actually be involved in Breaking D, Stretch A and maybe Abduction. Actually fewer projects for him may be better. I know I was sick of seeing his name for every single action movie – as if there are no other actors available.

Twilight hunk Taylor Lautner, who recently turned 18 years old, is rumored to be wanted as the lead star of the upcoming movie “Abduction”, which tells the story of a teenager that feels disconnected from his parents and goes on a journey to find his true identity.

The movie rights are being disputed by some big sharks like Dreamworks, Sony and Universal. Taylor is one of the hottest young actors at the moment. He already is set to for big roles in movies like Cancun, Max Steel and Stretch Armstrong.

Taylor Lautner is potentially the hottest young actor to come out of The Twilight Saga franchise. As much as everyone now talks about Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart when it comes to movie projects, Lautner is securing one heck of a commercial future for himself. With starring roles in Cancun, the Max Steel and Stretch Armstrong action hero adaptations, and Northern Lights, (not costarring Tom Cruise however) the actor who just turned 18 is attached to star in Abduction (a Jason Bourne identity in question kind of role) and that pic is up for a bidding war between at least two studios. The big question remains, Lautner is unproven beyond Twilight for bringing an audience to the theater. Will these movies even get made? Is this all just hype for the actor?

Here is Taylor Lautner winning Breakout Movie Actor at The People’s Choice Awards in Los Angeles. Former girlfriend, Taylor Swift and her mom stood up and applauded Lautner as he took the stage to get his trophy.

Lautner is on a roll lately, not just with Twilight, but he has signed on for movies Max Steel, Cancun (maybe) with Taylor Swift and Northern Lights with Tom Cruise.

AH! Actor Paul Reubens, best known for his character Pee-Wee Herman, said that Taylor Lautner would be the next Pee-Wee. “Taylor Lautner’s playing Pee-Wee in the movie. That’s what I understand,” Paul, in character as Pee-Wee, joked to Access Hollywood.

FUNNY! NOT! Girls, Taylor is not going to play Pee-Wee! We don’t think he would even consider that role! The good news is Taylor will play your favorite action hero Max Steel! YAY!!

Max Steel has just gotten a lot cooler. Variety.com is reporting that Taylor Lautner has just signed with Paramount Pictures to star in the live action movie based on the Mattel action figure. Lautner will play the extreme sports star turned teen superhero recruited by a super secret agency to fight crime. No director or start date is set as the script is still being written.
