OH. MY. GOD. The Vampire Diaries returns with a devilish Stefan Salvatore (Paul Wesley), who now drinks human blood and hunts with Klaus, and a new hero, Damon Salvatore (Ian Somerhalder), who is doing everything he can to track down his brother and bring him back to Elena (Nina Dobrev).

It’s Elena’s 18th birthday. A few months went by after Stefan disappeared with Klaus, Elena has been diligently searching for her one true love and does not believe Damon is as committed as she is. Elena has no reason to celebrate, yet Caroline (Candice Accola) is determined to throw her a big party.

Meanwhile, Elena’s brother Jeremy (Steven R. McQueen) continues seeing the ghosts of his past girlfriends, Vicki (Kayla Ewell) and Anna (Malese Jow), while Caroline attempts to deal with the growing sexual tension between her and her best friend, werewolf Tyler (Michael Trevino).

Delena shippers rejoice! Stefan is out of the picture now! The third season of The Vampire Diaries premieres tonight on the CW (watch preview/sneak peek videos below).

‘The Vampire Diaries’ 3.01 “The Birthday” PHOTOS

Written by Violet on August 27, 2011 – 2:10 pm -

It’s getting close to the return of The Vampire Diaries and we’ve got photos from the season 3 opener “The Birthday” and some details of the ep.

We know the show starts up with Elena’s 18th birthday (so she’s legal guardian to her younger brother Jeremy, now that Aunt Jenna is dead.) Stefan is on his Great Ripper Race with Klaus and Damon is brooding. Caroline and Tyler are getting closer – much closer. Jeremy still sees dead people, but now he does it at the Mystic Grill, working with Matt.

TVD returns Thursday, September 15th at 8pm ET.

‘The Vampire Diaries’ Damon Gets Soapy & Sudsy For Elena

Written by Violet on July 29, 2011 – 11:13 pm -

The Vampire Diaries season 3 premiere is still too far away, but luckily the CW is giving us naked Ian Somerhalder to tide fans over.

Yep, that’s right. Damon gets soaped up in the new sizzle reel and gives Elena (Nina Dobrev) an eyeful.

And being TVD, you have to wait for it – around the 3:10 mark.

It’s mostly a rehash of what happened last year: Stefan (Paul Wesley) going on a blood bender with Klaus (Joseph Morgan). Elijah (Daniel Gillies) explaining the hybrid deal. Jeremy (Steven R McQueen) and the ghosts of girlfriends past (Malese Jow & Kayla Ewell) after Bonnie’s (Kat Graham) spell has unintended consequences. Caroline (Candice Accola) and Matt (Zach Roerig) trying to keep Tyler (Michael Trevino) from biting them while in wolf form.

Then, like in every episode, the last few moments bring the wow…

Last week, Klaus took over Alaric’s (Matt Davis) body and Bonnie (Katerina Graham) had to fake her own death with some help from Damon (Ian Somerhalder). This week, the real Klaus will be revealed and we will finally learn more about this character, including his surprising motives.

The Vampire Diaries, Episode 2×19: “Klaus”

KLAUS IS REVEALED — Stefan (Paul Wesley) and Damon (Ian Somerhalder) are furious when they discover that Elena (Nina Dobrev) has defied them both to make a new ally and take control of the plan to out-maneuver Klaus (Joseph Morgan). Disagreement over how to protect Elena leads to growing tension between the Salvatore brothers. ‘The Vampire Diaires’ 2.18 “The Last Dance” Photos & Videos

Written by Violet on April 14, 2011 – 1:42 pm -

Only five more episodes left before the close of season 2 on The Vampire Diaries and tonight’s promises to bring the drama.

Episode 2.18 “The Last Dance” is going to have a death that will have you full-on weeping. The shocks that are touted for tonight’s show are epic – and it isn’t even the finale yet! We do know that Kat Graham has told reporters that there are 3 major deaths that occur before the season is through – if Isobel’s was one last week or not, no one is confirming – but tonight definitely contains a significant one.

Besides the death watch, Alaric’s body is inhabited by Klaus and I can’t wait to see him/them go rogue and do some Mystic Falls damage – whether it’s physical or psychological – I’m looking forward to the havoc he brings tonight.

Here is the official synopsis of tonight’s episode:

DANCING WITH DANGER — As the high school prepares to throw a “1960s Decade Dance,” Elena (Nina Dobrev) starts receiving disturbing messages from Klaus via an unusual source. Bonnie (Katerina Graham) tries to reassure Jeremy (Steven R. McQueen) that she is strong enough to help Elena, but a worried Jeremy asks Stefan (Paul Wesley) for advice. Caroline (Candice Accola) talks Matt (Zach Roerig) into taking her to the dance. Expecting Klaus to show up at the dance, Damon (Ian Somerhalder) and Alaric (Matt Davis) attend as chaperones, but Klaus is playing a complicated game that keeps them on edge. Finally, Damon comes up with a new plan of action that shocks and upsets everyone.

Photos and preview vids are below – post who you think bites it (pun intended – Ha!) in the comments.

Don’t forget to watch tonight on The CW at 8PM.  Read more »

‘The Vampire Diaries’ 2.16 “The House Guest” Photos & Preview Videos

Written by Violet on February 24, 2011 – 5:04 am -

The Vampire Diaries episode 2.16 “The House Guest” is the last new show before it goes on another one of the dreaded CW month-long hiatus. No new episodes until April.

Knowing there is a long drought between episodes says tonight’s will be a doozy with enough mayhem, killing and shocking surprises to keep us interested on the break. So let’s get to it – here is the official synopsis:

A NIGHT OF CONFESSIONS — Katherine’s (Nina Dobrev) mind games are getting on everyone’s nerves, but Damon (Ian Somerhalder), Stefan (Paul Wesley) and Elena (Nina Dobrev) realize that her knowledge of Mystic Falls history will help them stay alive.  Frustrated with her relationship with Matt (Zach Roerig), Caroline (Candice Accola) finds a new way to get his attention.  Alaric (Matt Davis) makes a surprising confession to Jenna (Sara Canning), and Katherine makes a different kind of confession to Damon.  Stefan and Bonnie (Katerina Graham) try to convince Jonas (guest star Randy Goodwin) and Luka (guest star Bryton James) that they should all be working together, but Jonas’ lack of trust leads to a violent and fiery confrontation. Steven R. McQueen also stars. Michael Katleman directed the episode written by Caroline Dries (#216).

Check it tonight on the CW at 8pm ET.

Jenna Ushkowitz & Michael Trevino: NBA All-Star Game

Written by Violet on February 21, 2011 – 2:08 am -

Jenna Ushkowitz and Michael Trevino took in the NBA All-Star Game at the Staples Center in Los Angeles on Saturday, February 20th.

While the couple did not pose together on the magenta carpet heading inside (at least no photos have surfaced yet,) they were spotted together inside the venue.

Trevino has been everywhere but filming in Atlanta lately as his character on The Vampire Diaries, Tyler Lockwood, has taken off to learn the werewolf rules with (and perhaps spy on?) Jules (Michaela McManus.) Hopefully, he will be back soon. I know I certainly miss the Tyler/Caroline (Candice Accola) storyline!

Check out photos of both Trevino and Ushkowitz below.  Read more »
