Miley Cyrus said more than once she is not a fan of vampires, vampire stories or Twilight, but the cast are determined to convince the singer vampires are pretty cool and seductive. Here is what they had to say:

Stephenie Meyer: “I didn’t like vampires before I started writing about them. I was so not into vampires. Maybe it will come to her when she’s 30 like it did for me.”

Peter Facinelli: “I’m not necessarily a huge vampire fan, but I do love the books that Stephenie Meyer created. I love that you don’t see fangs. It’s not a horror movie by any means.”

Elizabeth Reaser: “I’ve always been a fan of vampires since I was a little girl. I loved all the Anne Rice books. Maybe Miley’s resisting. Maybe they’re so popular now that it’s annoying or she’s sick of seeing us.”

Kellan Lutz: “She hasn’t met me then. I would change her opinion on that, I’m sure. I have my ways.”

Ashley Greene: “That’s so unfortunate because I love her new songs…I’m going to sit Miley down and force her to watch Twilight.”

And, Wolf-packer Alex Meraz adds: “Tell her she might like it ‘doggy’ style.”

We are proud of Miley for not being easily influenced by whatever is more popular at the time. It’s OK to not be a fan of vampires and Twilight! Miley has a very strong personality… BUT we don’t know if she can resist both Kellan and Alex.

Actress/singer Miley Cyrus is not a fan of “Glee” and she doesn’t even watch the show. The 17 year-old is very outspoken and is usually very honest. Miley is also not a fan of vampires. No vampires and NO Twilight!

“I’ve never seen Glee,” Miley said. “Someone asked me yesterday if I was a Gleek, and I said, ‘What the heck is a Gleek? That’s not something I want to be.’ They said it’s someone who’s a fan of Glee, and I was like, ‘I’ve never seen it’… I’m not a huge, like, musical – whatever. I don’t know.”

“I hate vampires,” she says. When asked if she watches “True Blood”, Miley said, “What channel is that on?”

“We don’t have HBO,” she said, adding that her mom only gets “about 10 channels” at their house. “So we don’t watch a lot of TV. We don’t know what’s on. All we have is like the Disney Channel and Nick at Nite because my sister is only 10 years old.”

Miley does not have to worship vampires like almost every teenager in the whole world. And to tell the truth, we should give props to Miley for thinking for herself and having such a strong personality! Go Miley!
