Miley Cyrus hit the red carpet for the 52nd Annual Grammy Awards and posed with her mom, Tish on Sunday January 31st. The Last Song star had her song, ‘The Climb’ withdrawn from the competition earlier this year because of a technicality but Cyrus shined at the ceremony in a Herve Leger dress.

Here is Taylor Lautner winning Breakout Movie Actor at The People’s Choice Awards in Los Angeles. Former girlfriend, Taylor Swift and her mom stood up and applauded Lautner as he took the stage to get his trophy.

Lautner is on a roll lately, not just with Twilight, but he has signed on for movies Max Steel, Cancun (maybe) with Taylor Swift and Northern Lights with Tom Cruise.

Possible pairing: teen star Vanessa Hudgens may be the daughter to super diva Mariah Carey. The two are both in talks to star in a musical comedy based on singing competition shows like American Idol and X Factor.

“Vanessa Hudgens has already been approached for the daughter role. The only sticking point seems to be whether Mariah feels comfortable playing mom to a teenager. She’s a little sensitive when it comes to her age.”

Could be interesting.

Arnie Morton’s Steakhouse hosted Miley Cyrus and Kelly Preston for dinner Sunday night in Los Angeles. Preston and Cyrus played mother and daughter in the just wrapped film The Last Song, due in theaters January of 2010. Preston has kept a low profile since the tragic death of her son Jett, with actor John Travolta.

‘The Death & Life of Charlie St. Cloud’ with Zac Efron is picking up steam in the casting department with the announcement of Kim Basinger as Momma Cloud. There are conflicting reports of Basinger being signed already and others that she is currently negotiating for the role. Hopefully she gets on board and this movie gets rolling. Efron has spent time learning to sail and dive so  it should be close to actual filming for the 2010 release.

Zac Efron is not feeling the need to breed. He is young and enjoying himself and simply does not want to be a father anytime soon. The 17 Again  star said:

“The very idea of kids is frightening to me. Maybe it’s over-exposure at a young age to a lot of kids. Right now I think I’m honestly, deep down, too selfish of a person. So I don’t have that longing yet but I think eventually maybe it will come.”

Efron and his girlfriend, High School Musical  star Vanessa Hudgens won’t be procreating and passing on their gorgeous looks just yet as Efron’s mom is on board with the ‘no kids’ policy and filled his christmas stocking with condoms. After seeing a picture of the duo leaving a sex shop, Mama Efron is making sure her son is protected with the unusual holiday gift. It turns out the shop was just a costume store Hudgens and Efron visited for Halloween one year but his mother is taking no chances. No Jamie Lynn Spears or Bristol Palin issues here.

Leaving her rumored new boyfriend, Chace Crawford at home, Gossip Girl star Taylor Momsen went to the after party for the movie ‘He’s Just Not That Into You’ and brought her mom, Colette, along.

“They were laughing and talking together all night, like girlfriends,” a fellow partier tells In Touch. But the elder Momsen is more than just a party pal to her 15-year-old daughter: unlike other celeb moms, she showed she knows where to draw the line. “Taylor only sipped on water and left promptly when Colette said it was time for them to go at midnight,” the eyewitness adds.

It’s nice to see Taylor living down her party girl reputation.

Country singing sensation Taylor Swift will be the musical guest this week (January 10th) on Saturday Night Live. It also turns out to be her mom’s birthday as well, and Swift is happy to have her mom there to celebrate.

In a message on her MySpace.com website, the excited teen writes, “I just found out that I get to play on Saturday Night Live!! January 10th! It’s my mom’s birthday.
“I don’t think either of us would’ve believed you if you would’ve told us a few years ago that we’d get to spend her birthday in New York City – at Saturday Night Live! Wow. It’s pretty unreal.”
Swift says her SNL debut is “something I’ve been dreaming about and hoping for and wishing for years.”

Hosting this week is Neil Patrick Harris. Should be a fun show.
