Saoirse Ronan: Irish Magazine ‘U’ Cover
Written by Violet on November 10, 2010 – 1:49 pm -Saoirse Ronan landed on the cover of Irish Magazine U and she looks fierce! The talented Ronan has come under some scrutiny lately (similiar to Chloe Moretz) for being so young and taking on very adult roles. Ronan is playing killers/assassins in her next films: Hannah (to start filming next year) and Violet and Daisy currently filming. (In my opinion, both Moretz and Ronan seem well-adjusted away from Hollywood trappings so they should continue taking these parts and challenging perceptions.)
The teenage actress has her professional plate full – with tons of new movies in the pipeline. She is so sought after, Moviefone named her one of their 25 Under 25 stars to watch for the coming year:
Age: 16
What She’s Done: The Irish-born actress received Oscar, Golden Globe and BAFTA nominations for her performance in ‘Atonement’; starred in Peter Jackson’s adaptation of ‘The Lovely Bones.’
What’s Next: She’ll star in the WWII prison drama ‘The Way Back,’ re-team with her ‘Atonement’ director for the action-thriller ‘Hannah,’ and bring the young adult novel ‘The True Confessions of Charlotte Doyle’ to the big-screen as the title character.
Did You Know? Ronan got her start working on prime-time medical dramas in her native Ireland.
The actress’ latest film, The Way Back is due in limited release on December 29th (see the trailer here.)

Vanessa Hudgens Talks with Moviefone
Written by Violet on August 13, 2009 – 8:11 pm -Vintage shopping with Mary Kate Olsen, kissing costar Gaelen Connell, shooting a movie on the Seychelles Islands and dating Zac Efron are just a few of the things Vanessa Hudgens has done that you and I won’t ever do. The actress spoke to Moviefone about her latest movies: ‘Bandslam’ and ‘Beastly,’ her new house in Los Angeles and all the other pretty cool things she’s gotten to do.
On her awkward kissing scene with Connell in ‘Bandslam’: “The kissing with Gaelan was awesome. I loved the scene. I thought it was so funny. It was very choreographed and, yeah, it was very fun. I’m happy with the way it turned out.”
Read the rest of the interview at Moviefone and go ahead – be envious – she has been fortunate enough to do some pretty great things.
