Robert Pattinson and Emilie de Ravin’s movie Remember Me dropped off the radar for just a moment thanks to the Academy Awards but now that those pesky Oscars are out of the way, everyone can get back to what they were doing before: speculating on Rob’s post Twilight career. Here is a short interview from MTV where the costars talk about running away (Emilie when she was 4) and Rob bringing a girl home to the family (yes, he has.) In case you’ve forgotten, the movie opens March 12th.

Actor George Clooney will be hosting a telethon to help raise money to aid Haiti at 8pm on ABC January 22, and he is desperately hoping the Twilight stars will join his efforts in order to also captive a younger audience. Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner have already reportedly been approached and would love to participate but they still haven’t confirmed because of their busy schedules.

Nick Jonas is doing lots of press to support his solo effort, Nick Jonas and the Administration. While he was in New York City, MTV caught up with NJ and asked him about the latest addition to the Jonas clan, sister-in-law Danielle.

“It’s amazing,” he said. “She’s here … with her whole family and they’re great. I’m so happy to have her [be] a part of our family. It’s kind of hard to believe I’ve got a sister-in-law and it’s wonderful.”

And while the brothers all have nicknames, the singer said hers is ‘just Dani.’

Ashley Tisdale is bringing her Blondie Girl Productions a little more business. The actress just inked a deal with RelativityReal to develop, produce and create projects for the small screen. The partnership between the two companies could be very successful for the High School Musical star.

MTV’s behind-the-scenes show Styl’d ends it season on January 2nd at 10pm with Ashley Tisdale as guest. Sequins and leather and drama… Oh My!

Nick Jonas tells us five things we need to know about his solo project with The Administration, “Who I Am”, in a special taped for MTV. Nick mostly talks about the recording process but he also reveals that one of his YouTube videos was actually shot when he was recording his debut solo album. Ah! No one knew about it then!

Candice Accola’s Caroline has been having a rough time onscreen lately. The Vampire Diaries actress has had her character become a living blood bank to satisfy Damon Salvatore’s thirst. After freeing him from the dungeon, Damon (played perfectly by Ian Somerhalder) has thrown her aside alive, thankfully! Caroline is leaning on Matt (Zach Roerig) for support and maybe a little more. Accola weighs in on whether Caroline is ready for another boyfriend/romance/hook-up so quickly after her nightmare time with Damon:

“I don’t think Caroline needs a boyfriend, unless he’s going to be really good to her,” she told Hollywood Crush. “I think she’s got a lot on her plate between her friend’s a witch now [Bonnie played by Katerina Graham] … and getting over a relationship with her mother and her estranged father, who ran off with his lover. I think she’s got a full plate… but if it’s good love, that can never hurt.”

I loved the chemistry between Somerhalder and Accola so I hope there is more to come - a little revenge for Caroline would be super fun.

The Vampire Diaries are on hiatus until January 2010  *sigh*

MTV has premiered a ‘new’ clip of The Twilight Saga: New Moon during it’s Ulalume Festival special that aired this weekend. This isn’t really new - just an extended version of Bella’s birthday and her paper cut that unleashes Jasper’s thirst for human blood. Check out all the interviews and cast chat with Ashley Greene, Kellan Lutz, Jackson Rathbone, Elizabeth Reaser and Nikki Reed. Taylor Lautner, Kristen Stewart & Robert Pattinson do make a brief appearance at the end to intro the extended clip. I still think someone should create a youtube with all the clips and pics Summit has released - there would be no need to go to the theaters - it feels like the entire movie is online already.

The Twilight Saga: New Moon theatrical release of November 20th is right around the corner but for actor Jackson Rathbone, it doesn’t mean he will be slowing down. Not only is he gearing up for the crazy promotional schedule of New Moon, he is finishing work on the third film of the franchise Eclipse, and he is starting work on the indie flick Girlfriend, which he will also produce. All that back and forth between characters could be a problem for some actors, but not Rathbone.

“The process of going through the works; getting makeup, getting hair and all that, you have enough time to kind of contemplate your character. And I always put a lot of work into the way my characters move and the way they speak and the way they relate to others around them. It’s just the simple things. I like the subtle nuances that really kind of establish a character and how a character grows throughout a story.”

He also finished filming The Last Airbender with Dev Patel and directed by M Night Shymalan and he is about to embark on a tour with his band 100 Monkeys. While he can’t officially confirm it yet, Breaking Dawn should start filming in February or March so Jackson still has quite a bit of work on his plate for a long while yet.

MTV will have Rob Pattinson and the New Moon cast on Friday October 30th highlight special of the Ulalume Music Festival in Merriweather MD. The Halloween themed music event is named after the creepy poem of Edgar Allen Poe and will take place October 23rd.

How about a fan of groups like Paramore and AFI? Yes, Ulalume has a kick-ass line up that not only includes those headliners, but also features Dead By Sunrise the new band by Chester Bennington of Linkin Park, Asher Roth, Kid Cudi and more.

Rob and the cast of New Moon will take part in the show (airing for the first time Friday October 30th at 9pm EST) and air another exclusive, new clip from the second installment of The Twilight Saga.

Is it just me or is Summit releasing way too much of this movie before hand? I know everyone is dying to see it (and it won’t affect ticket sales) but sheesh - all of these sneak peeks, photos and exclusive clips - if someone strings them together, we’ve seen pretty much everything all ready.

Taylor Swift is used to the single life but don’t pity her - she doesn’t feel sorry for herself. The teen star says:

“I wasn’t really popular at high school. I’ve never really been sought-after by guys, but I don’t wallow in it. It’s my comfort zone, being single.” An optimistic Swift adds: “I feel that a lot happens to you when you’re not looking for it so I’m not actively looking for a boyfriend.”

She is bright, talented, young and beautiful. Many guys dream about her. It’s only a matter of time before she’s off the market again.

While his sci-fi flick Pandorum is currently playing in theaters, Cam Gigandet went right back to filming on the set of Priest. The actor is playing a good guy this time around on a mission to save the girl he loves with Paul Bettany as the title character. Speaking to MTV, Gigandet mentions that he has really taken to riding motorcycles:

“Then I finally got to ride my motorcycle on set, and it is a huge beast of a motorcycle. It’s one of the coolest motorcycles, and Priest [Bettany] is on a motorcycle as well, and we get to ride in the middle of the desert on salt flats—it [looks] like those Chevy commercials.”

“We get to ride in the open plains, just me and him in the middle of nowhere,” Gigandet said of his time with Bettany in the flick, which hits theaters next summer. “It’s probably one of the best feelings in the world.”

This film sounds great! A half-vampire sheriff riding a motorcycle to save the girl. Looking forward to this movie due out August 2010.
