Police were called to hip hop artist Nicki Minaj’s home earlier today, when the rapper and her former maid got into a physical altercation.

Apparently, Minaj got her panties in a twist several weeks back when the maid in question asked her highness for an autograph while on duty (the audacity!).  Minaj was so upset that she terminated the woman on the spot; so imagine her surprise when Ms. Maid turned up at her doorstep today!

According to police reports, Nicki told the woman to get off her property, and when the maid refused by saying she wouldn’t stand being “treaded like an animal”, Nicki politely replied,

I’ll show you how to treat someone like an animal … get the f*ck out of my house!

Tensions between the two women ran so high that local authorities had to be called to the scene.

So here’s where things get weird… well, weird-er.

Sources revealed that the maid who turned up at Minaj’s house today, was not the same one who asked for an autograph.

Maybe you should try taking some of those fake lashes off Nicki.   You might able to see things a little more clearly!

Justin Bieber is really going for the Ashton Kutcher/prankster vibe and had some fun with girlfriend Selena Gomez on the black carpet of the 2011 MTV VMAs pre-show that she was hosting.

Bieber brought along a friend to the VMAs – a small little snake he had wrapped around his hand as he stepped up to Selena’s mic for a short pre-show chat.

While Gomez tried to get her 17 year-old boyfriend to talk about what he was wearing (red pants and cheetah shoes BTW) he thrust the snake at her. She shouted at him “Stop! I know!” clearly grossed out by the little reptile.

The two were laughing when she asked Bieber to tell everyone what he named the snake. Well, if you haven’t guessed by now, it’s “Johnson.”

In the end, Selena smiled and said “Thanks for hanging out with me, babe.” The Biebs seized his opportunity and planted a kiss on his girlfriend’s cheek. Cute!

Bieber also won an award – Best Male Video for his song “U Smile.”

Miley Cyrus is a showstopper at the 2011 MTV VMAs held at the Nokia Theatre LA Live Sunday night.

The 18 year-old singer chose a multi-print, curve hugging, blue with black long-sleeve, backless gown from Roberto Cavalli. She accented her look with Lorraine Schwartz jewelry.

Cyrus kept her hair pulled back for a more sophisticated look.

Miley was a presenter at the show. She took the podium with snowboard pro Shaun White to announce the winner of Best Rock Video.

Pixie Lott took the stage at Manchester Pride 2011 in England.

The 21st annual concert and parade had a theme of ‘Best of British’ with Lott, Sugarbabes and Blue all performing in support of the LGBT community.

The 20 year-old singer performed in a pair a purple short shorts, cute bow tie and black t-shirt with a rainbow across the front – the symbol for diversity and acceptance.

Just before her performance, Pixie tweeted how excited she was.

“@ManchesterPride wowoowoo can’t wait to perform just getting ready yEAHhhHh bring it on,” she said.

Demi Lovato revealed the art work for her new album Unbroken.

The 19 year-old singer tweeted the beautiful new cover shot, with a gorgeous Demi looking fabulous.

Lovato has long flowing hair, deep plum colored lips and heavily defined eyebrows in a very misty/soft-focus shot. She’s wearing a cream fur shrug and lots of rings for the photo.

Unbroken will drop on September 20th. Her first single “Skyscraper” continues to climb the charts.

Demi Lovato shined on the blue carpet of the 2011 Do Something Awards at the Hollywood Palladium this Sunday in Los Angeles.

Lovato, 18, wore a short white halter dress with plunging neckline and silver embellishments down the front. She pulled her hair back in a cute ponytail and chose white peep toe pumps to finish off her look.

The Camp Rock 2 star received an awards for the song she did with her ex, Joe Jonas. The song “Make A Wave” was honored with a angel wing sneaker trophy for Do Something Charity Song.

Kim Kardashian introduced Demi later in the program and the singer took the stage to give a fantastic performance of “Skyscraper.” It’s the first single off her upcoming album, Unbroken, due out September 20th.

The awards show will air on VH1 on Thursday, August 18th.

Joe Jonas had an early birthday celebration in Las Vegas this weekend and was clearly happy to be single.

The “See No More” singer spent Saturday at a few different Sin City hotspots including the Liquid Pool Lounge for afternoon sun, Deuce Lounge for a little blackjack and Haze Nightclub for cake and a live performance.

Jonas, who turned 22 today, had quite a bit of female attention everywhere he went on Saturday.

At Liquid, Joe and his pals hung out in a private VIP cabana but that didn’t stop girls from attempting to peek and the Jonas Brother in his swim trunks. The same was true at Duece, where the gals hung at the gambling tables

Jonas and friends ended the night at Haze with another VIP area and more girls hanging on his every word.

“Girls were pushing to get near him,” a source told People magazine. “He was definitely loving the attention.”

Joe may be having a great time this August – but his October will be even better.

Jonas releases his first solo album, FastLife, on October 11th. He then heads to overseas where he will be the opening act for Britney Spears European tour beginning October 16th.

ACM Entertainer of the Year, Taylor Swift, has released a video for “Sparks Fly” her latest single off her multi-platinum selling album Speak Now.

The 21 year-old’s video features the singer and her fans at concerts where she pulls out all the stops to entertain.

Ballet dancers, elaborate balconies filled with violinists, fireworks, floating castles, acrobats and flying aerialists – not to mention costumes and glittery wardrobe changes. The video captures it all.

Taylor Swift left with an armful of surfboards from the 2011 Teen Choice Awards held in Los Angeles at the Gibson Amphitheatre on Sunday, August 7th.

She was a cute 50s vision in white on the blue carpet. Taylor opted for a halter style Rafael Cennamo dress with sparkling Ranjana Khan belt and Neil Lane jewels. She topped off her look by pulling her hair back in a ponytail and silver/gray peep toe shoes from Fendi.

Swift landed 6 accolades including Ultimate Choice of the Year. She was presented that honor from friend Emma Stone. She also nabbed Choice Female Artist, Choice Country Artist, Choice Country Single, Choice Breakup Song and Choice Red Carpet Fashion Icon.

Day 2 of the 2011 Lollapalooza Music Festival was off to a great start with Taylor Momsen and The Pretty Reckless among the acts taking the stage in Chicago on Saturday.

Momsen, who turned 18 on July 25th, was outfitted in her usual all black attire including a leather jacket and tons of dark eyeshadow. Her dress had slashes and cutouts all along the sides and she wore her black fishnet thigh highs and leather boots to complete the look.

The band took the stage in the afternoon and fans loved the show.

The Pretty Reckless will open for Evanesence as the bands tour the UK starting November.
