Lily Collins Lands In ‘City Of Bones’
Written by Violet on December 9, 2010 – 8:32 pm -Lily Collins has grabbed up a role in big screen adaptation of YA novel City Of Bones. The Blind Side actress has just landed the deal to star in the film that Scott Charles Stewart will direct. Stewart and Collins have worked together before on the clergyman- turned-vampire-hunter movie Priest, starring Paul Bettany and Cam Gigandet.
While the original article doesn’t say specifically which role she has (it says only “set to star”) I believe that means Collins will have the Clary Fray role (not Isabella Lightwood.) She definitely fits the physical description of Clary – 15 year old, red hair and freckles – more than Isabella.
Along with Priest, Collins also has Abduction with Taylor Lautner coming out in 2011.
I love Cassandra Clare’s The Mortal Instruments series and look forward to more casting on this.

Cam Gigandet’s New Love For Motorcycle Rides
Written by Violet on September 30, 2009 – 9:19 pm -While his sci-fi flick Pandorum is currently playing in theaters, Cam Gigandet went right back to filming on the set of Priest. The actor is playing a good guy this time around on a mission to save the girl he loves with Paul Bettany as the title character. Speaking to MTV, Gigandet mentions that he has really taken to riding motorcycles:
“Then I finally got to ride my motorcycle on set, and it is a huge beast of a motorcycle. It’s one of the coolest motorcycles, and Priest [Bettany] is on a motorcycle as well, and we get to ride in the middle of the desert on salt flats—it [looks] like those Chevy commercials.”
“We get to ride in the open plains, just me and him in the middle of nowhere,” Gigandet said of his time with Bettany in the flick, which hits theaters next summer. “It’s probably one of the best feelings in the world.”
This film sounds great! A half-vampire sheriff riding a motorcycle to save the girl. Looking forward to this movie due out August 2010.

Cam Gigandet Can’t Resist Playing Another Vampire
Written by Violet on June 8, 2009 – 10:13 pm -
Switching sides from an evil vampire to one with a conscience, Cam Gigandet will take on another role as a vampire in the upcoming film Priest. Described as a horror western and adapted from a ToykoPop comic, Paul Bettany plays the priest who partners with Gigandet’s part-vampire sheriff to save the clergyman’s niece (and the sheriff’s love interest) stolen by the evil bloodsuckers. Love Cam. I will go to the movies to see him in just about anything.
